This place has lost their touch. When I first came here, there was this lady name Kit who hit the spot really well. She’s no longer there and the person who treated me today did absolutely nothing. She used her feet the whole time to just step on me with no technique. I had to leave after only 30 minutes. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Went here after a stressful week at work & finally used my giftcard here! If it’s your first time here, they make you sign a waiver & the form has different choices to customize your massage(thai or swedish massage, how hard, areas you want to focus on). I opted for the 1 hour Thai massage for $ 45. They lead you into a private room covered by curtains. The bed is warm, there’s soothing music playing softly in the background, & it looks relatively clean. Now I’m usually used to the massages where you keep your clothes on, so I was a lil nervous when they gave me these wide brown pants to put on & no top. But you know what, the masseuse honestly don’t care. You just change out of your clothes & lay face down. They do a good job of covering you up with a towel & keeping you covered for the most part. My masseuse was very nice & checked up on me throughout the massage to make sure I was okay. She did some acupressure & stretches on me and massaged me with some kind of oil balm but I didn’t feel like my knots were being worked out. The pace was slower than what I’m used to & it just felt like she was using her elbows a lot. I definitely felt more relaxed but it felt expensive for what it was. I think I’m used to getting massages in the 626 area where they REALLY get in there & are wayyy more affordable but I guess you pay for the ambiance. One other thing that I wasn’t used to was the fact that she massaged my feet without soaking it in hot water or anything first & used her bare hands. I feel bad for the masseuses because they(and us!) can catch diseases like that but maybe I’m just being a clean freak. You are also offered water or hot tea after. Make sure to tip your masseuse! I recommend bringing cash so you can just tip them right after. They have a sign inside the private rooms that give you a rough idea of the suggested amount to tip. The suggested tip for an 1 hour massage is $ 10-$ 20 if you’re satisfied. There’s street & metered parking. There’s also a small parking lot in the back but I don’t recommend parking there as it’s kind hard to get out.

My first time visiting. Everyone is nice and happy to see you. The parking in the back helps. I think I was expecting too much b/c I read someone else’s review about how relaxing their massages are. I requested a Swedish 90 minute massage. It felt more like a deep tissue massage. It was good in I realized how screwed up my muscles are, but it was bad b/c I wasn’t relaxed. I’ll probably try it again next month.

Our monthly go to for sure. This place is incredible. Always had a great firm massage here — and we always leave feeling lighter. Our favorite masseuses are April and Tiffany, highly recommended. Go for a slice of salad pizza at Grey Block Pizza after your massage, you won’t be disappointed! Cheers, Ben

I have been getting massages at Swanya for over 7 years and love it! Yes, there are some practitioners who are more superior than others — but most are excellent. Great service for the price.

Most of the time I leave here feeling a little more sore, but much more healthy. Today was no exception. Sonya not only stretched me out, but had good recommendations on what to do at home.

Wonderful and relaxing Thai massage with friendly staff. This was my first Thai massage ever and Tiffany was very patient and sweet with me with her instructions. Massage area was comfortable, music was soothing, and the massage itself definitely loosened up my whole body even with just 1 hour. I wasn’t pressured to leave a tip at all, so it seems they have ceased that practice. Very small parking in the back, street parking available.

Altogether disappointing experience: the masseuse did little else but jab her elbows into my sore parts, even using her feet, both of which are easier than actually massaging the areas I requested. The room was COLD and no blanket provided, or any other attempt at making me comfortable. With so many competitors in the area, surprisingly careless.

Amazing massage, highly recommend this place! Stopped to avoid rush hour traffic and was the best decision all day!

After a lengthy flight followed by a 30 mile bike ride, figured it was time for a massage. Loved thai yoga massage for the past few years and even had a few done during my time in Thailand. Saw this place from Unilocal that had raving reviews and decided to come in to find out for myself. Very accommodating hours 10−9am everyday and if you come Mon-Fri 10am-1pm, you can get a one hour massage for 39.99! Unfortunately I missed that window, but for a one hour thai yoga massage it was only $ 45. Dawn Oneva was assigned to me and she rocked my world(no happy ending puns). Very strong for such a small lady, very professional and always made sure I was comfortable. She uses hot rags to ease up the muscles and good ol’ fashion Asian tiger balm. She didn’t oil me up all over like some places do. Didn’t mind getting undressed to just the skivvies. Thai yoga stretches were awesome. No parking lot. I parked in the parking meters out in front. I was able to walk in and get an appointment right then and there. They give you either tea or water afterwards. I left very happy and felt like I definitely got my money’s worth. WIll definitely return when I’m back in Culver City.

I’ve been here about 10 times in the past year, and have always had a consistently good and relaxing experience. Be prepared for some pain(if you ask for hard pressure, which you should). But it is a good kind of pain that will result in you feeling better in the long run. Staff is friendly, prices are fair/affordable. The only warning I’d give is to be careful about telling the masseuse immediately if you are feeling a bad kind of pain. My wife(who likes extremely hard pressure during massages, even more than I do) thinks she injured something during a massage here.

The last two times I have come here my experience was not as good as in the past. The girls were talking in Thai loudly, there was a child that was screaming and stomping/running all this through the hallway and behind the glass doors making for an awkward and not relaxing experience. Today my girl just left the room forever… and never mentioned where she was going. My friend who was New there actually it happened to him too and his girl was gone so long he got dressed. I’m not sure if the change is new Staff members but the same girls were present each of the last two times. Please hear what I’m saying and enforce the Meditative quiet environment that blends well with your music and educate your staff to respect the paying customer and communicate that you will be back if your stepping away.

I will be coming back here many more times! I had a massage with«Lake» in Thai her name means tiny which she was but wow did she had some strength. My massage was a combination of Thai and Swedish and was exactly what I needed. The facility is clean, the rooms are comfortable and the masseuses were professional. AND the massage for 60 minutes was $ 45 … a deal if you ask me. My masseuse asked me about where to focus, pressure preferences and any pain points. This is pretty standard for the course. Earlier in the day I was feeling incredibly uncomfortable with my back which lead to a headache I think and Lake cleared it all up. I left feeling 200% better than when I came it. I might need to make this a weekly occurrence.

I used to come here all the time, however I have to warn everyone… DONOTREQUESTMIMI. She has no idea what she is doing and you will walk out wishing you never went in. I left there in EXCRUCIATING pain. I expressed this to Mimi and she replied with I don’t care & don’t come back if you don’t like it: I’ve had my fair share of thai massages but this place is very unprofessional. I do not recommend to anyone. There are lots of other thai massage places in the area.

Insisted me 22%tip! Many yep reviewers have same comments, and hopefully the owner will learn from these reviews. I liked this place for a long time because they are clean and massage has been consistently good. But this time, it was a little bit different. The lady in the front instructed me to give then 22% tip. I thought 20% was reasonable, but the lady in front insisted me to give them 22% of tip. It is not a big difference for me to giving them 20% or 22% of tip, but don’t tell me how much I need to give you a tip! That is my choice!!!

Hands down the best massage I’ve EVER had! I finished my half marathon today and was in need of a massage so I decided to try Swanya based on their reviews and the proximity. Best decision yet! Not too sure if anyone knows how it feels to run 13.1 miles but you are sore as hell and can barely walk after. I wanted the masseuse to concentrate on my legs but she also worked on my shoulders which I didn’t mind since I work in an office(she also gave me pointers on exercises I can do in the office). My masseuse’s name was Kit(or Kip?) and she really knew how to take the knots out. For those interested in a Thai massage, BEWARE! it is not for the wimpy! Not only was Kit thorough but she got all of my knots out and made the soreness in my legs cease! She was very motherly and gave great advice on exercises to do if you work in an office. I wish I brought cash because they will give you 2 stamps for an hour massage. Once you get 10, you get a free entrée at the Thai restaurant next store named Swanya Thai Cuisine(I have been there before, great lunch deals!) If you can’t tell, I am very pleased with my massage and am making this place my go-to. The hour massage was topped off with a hot towel and tea. $ 45, parking is in the back as well as in front of the store.

I was a little skeptical about this place due to some of the reviews. But with two recommendations from friends and a $ 39 special, I decided to give it a go. My two referrals were for therapists that we not working that day. More.skepticism. but I went anyway. I thought: my back hurts so much, anything could be better than nothing at this point. Longer story short, I can’t believe I went this long without trying Thai massage. It hurts sooo good. My only gripe is that the therapists tend to talk to each other in different rooms during your massage.

The success has gotten to their head. This place is not what it was a year or two ago. Very unfriendly and dry. They put me on hold when I called to get an appointment while I had to listen to a group of women giggle and laugh. Never asked how long I wanted to book, so when I asked my masseur that I needed 90 minutes, she said no! She wants to eat! Just not very professional. Sad!
