First time here today and it won’t be the last. Everything was delicious!!! Pupusas, pan de gallina, sopa de gallina, sopa de pata… And the drinks! Arañan, jugo de marañon, tamarindo, ensalada… Yumm! Everything was delicious! Came here with 9 adults and 2– 1-year olds. Food was brought out fast with no problems whatsoever! Definitely coming back.

I’ve been here multiple times for the food. I’ve had their pupusas, carne asada plate, carne guisada plate, and many other dishes and they all have been delicious!!! I would rate a 4 for their food but the décor and trashy outfits they put on the women that obviously don’t fit into, really cheapens this place. So I would recommend the food to go!!!

Food is great! The music at the night club is only cumbia. The band plays great music but the dj sucks!

The Pupusas were superb(finger lickin good). The dishes are on the larger side, I suggest sharing I had a fajita plate that was absolutely delicious. I’ll have dream about their food it was too good. The party get active around 9:30 they turn down the light and turn up the music. It’s great place for salsa, merengue, and Cumbias.

Not sure why this place has such low reviews! When you first see this place it looks like it’s always closed! Luckily a coworker told me it is in fact open! Head on in people, this is the best mom and pop shop in this area. The food is quick and quite tasty. I ordered the grilled fish. It’s filled with flavor, comes with grilled onions, white rice, side salad and beans. They give you plenty of food so you might want to ask for a box. Only thing I didn’t like was all the rice they give you. Definitely don’t need a whole box worth.

The food is amazing, everyone I was with absolutely loved their food. A word of caution to my impatient friends out there… They’re understaffed so it tends to take a little longer than usual for you to get things, but they were extremely polite and tried their best to accommodate our needs. Don’t go if you’re in a rush. A wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate their mothers birthday. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. I had the carne asada and shrimp plate with a few micheladas. There was a live band with salsa and tropical like music. The ambiance was cool, friendly people with a lot of couples. The experience was phenomenal! I would definetly come here again. Oh yeah, there was a $ 10 cover charge since we did arrive during the nightclub hours… it was worth it though.

Came here recently as a group of 6 on a Friday on our lunch break from work. The place was nearly empty, only 2 other tables but it took over 45 minutes for our food to be ready. Our waitress apologized and claimed that there was an order for 75 pupusas being made so hence the hold up, but still. And even after that, one of my coworkers wanted a refill on horchata and they didn’t give it to us for free, despite the very long wait. The food was tasty but I feel like it’s really expensive for the amount you get. And the horchata is good but I’ve had more flavorful. Parking was a hassle. Probably won’t be coming back.

El Baron hosts salsa nights every Tuesday night! I went to this location because normally they have social dancing at Wokano but they’re moving to here during the holiday season. I’m such a fan of this location! It’s a small bar/restaurant in Culver City with a lively atmosphere. Every Tuesday, starting at 9pm they host an hour lesson and then social dancing into the night. Entrance is $ 8. There’s a large dance floor with a live band set up but they most play Latin music from the restaurant’s DJ system. The teacher, I think her name was Nicole, is a fun, peppy teacher! I definitely needed a refresher and she broke down all the steps. All levels show up — there were people who were very new and the experienced. Definitely coming back!

My boyfriend and I have gone a few times to this restaurant but every time we go there is always something wrong. We continued to go because of the food and the horchata but this time they have went to far. They seated us in a reserved seated area and later asked us to move while we were still eating. When we complained to the manager he did nothing about the issue just complain about his own staff. The food is great but the lack of communication between the employees and the customer service is horrible!!!

This place sucks! I was just here and because I was 8 mins late to my reservation the«manager» was charging us a cover charge. We had a group of 10+ coming to eat, drink and dance and this idiots just killed it. The manager is nasty sweaty rude person. Raising his voice at my sister and me. This guy is lucky I walked our of there cause I would have slapped the stupidity out of him. He just lost a truly loyal customer cause I love their food but the experience I just encounter was unacceptable. This place has potential if they have better customer service from upper management their waitress are awesome.

I came to this restaurant for a fundraiser. We all purchased a $ 20 tickets which covered a drink and a plate which included 1 pupusa(your choice of stuffing), yuca con chicharton and an enpanada. I ordered as soon as I got there a Sprite just to give the rest of my group to get there and she said that I either order the drink n plate or she cant give me anything… ummm ok I decided to wait for my group. 20 min later we ordered. It took 30 min before we asked our wonderful waitress for a status on her meal. She forgot about it. The food is great but the service is horrible. MANAGEMENTPLEASENOTETHISISNTTHEFIRSTREVIEWTOTELLYOUTHESAMETHING! Better customer service + Food = Loyal customers. In my case, I rather go to another salvi restaurant where I’m treated far better than here.

If you like pupusas, Salvorean breakfast, and dancing… THISISTHESPOT!!! I come here all the time, I really enjoy their breakfast. El baron(the boy) comes with chorizo(sausage) and a combination off egg, casamineto(beans and rice), cheese, avocado, and cream. The pupusas always hit the spot, they have revueltas, queso con loroco, camaron, and then some. This is their 2md location, I prefer this location better. Their parking lot isnt too big, but its never hard tonfind parking down the street or around the corner. On Fridays and Saturday nights it goes down if you feel like dancing. Although, I have never been, I have friends that go to enjoy a night of cumbias and salsa. Im sure you will have a lot of fun with your friends, there is a cover charge of $ 10. This place is worth going just for the food!

I love it here! The waiters are really nice. I wish I knew the name of the girl that usually helps us, she knew we showed up every Wednesday lol. The food is great and the drinks too. The ensalada is delicious. My favorite margarita is the Blue margarita. Delicious Rellenitos. Plenty of TVs to catch soccer games from every angle!

When I’m working in Culver City and I’m looking for some latin food I come to El Baron for lunch. Granted the restaurant is also a night club, during the day it’s pretty dead for lunch. I usually order their PUPUSAS&PLANTAINS. Food is great, and the prices aren’t bad. ENJOY!

I love the music because it is mostly Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia and other latin music. I like that you can make reservations but you have to on time or else you will lose it. the tables are close together with other people which it does not give you no privacy at all. The reason that i gave this place a two star it is because they do not serve alcohol after midnight. I’m like what? People barely get to those location around 10−11pm so it sucks that we cannot drink at that time. Since I had not finished my drink and it was passed midnight the waitress was hurrying me to drink it because they could not have anyone seeing that drink there. that just killed that mood and we left that location. They need to change that.

Great place to eat something different. The layout inside takes you to another place and time but is all good if you like adventure. The food is Salvadorian and is really good. My favorite so far is the homemade style tortillas that they server with cuajada a soft type of cheese that’s yummy!!! I will come here again for more!!!

Servicio horrible, el encargado nos discrimino y nos avergonso en frente de mucha gente. Ya habiamos consumido mucha comida y el encargado del restaurante nos nego AGUA… Que la teniamos que comprar afuerzas. ELILEGALNEGARELAGUA!!! Horrible service, we were actually discriminated against. The manager(heavy set man) ridiculed us in front of a lot of people after he denied us water after we had consumed food. He said we had to buy it for $ 5. ITISILLEGALTODENYSOMEONEWATER! Needless to say I will not be back and I hope the owner reads this!
