Visited Armand’s as my area fireplace store looking for a modern free standing gas stove. They were one of the only stores in the West LA area with an in stock modern style NG stove (called 3 other places). Tony was immediately helpful and willing to work out a good price on the stove and required accessories. Overall a great purchase experience.

I went everywhere including Home Depot, Lincoln Hardware, and Barbecues Galore for a replacement regulator for my Char Broil Big Easy to fry a turkey for Thanksgiving and could not find a regulator that would fit it. I decided to come by Armand’s since they specialize in barbecues. I made the right choice. Though they did not have a regulator (nobody did) that would fit it on its own, they went in the back and located a $ 2 adaptor to make it work and it works like a charm.
I’m not sure of the names of the guys that helped me, but they were super cool, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for me on something really small. This place is legit.

This place is terrible, very unprofessional. I schedule a day and I personally spoke with the person who was going to come to measure our fireplace and I told them I would not be available from 10 to 12. So he supposed to come around 9, 930. He did not come at this time and I called them and they he was coming at 10 to 12. So, they did not apologize, and hey gave me the option to come almost a month after on Saturday. Very unprofessional people.

Widely advertised sale featured very minor discounts. Though we were ready to purchase an expensive grill, when we commented about the lack of posted prices, we were told that we might be happier at Home Depot. I guess they feel that if they offer free food people will swoon from the aroma and purchase without thinking. Astute customers don’t operate that way.

Armands staff was friendly, attentive and professional. They have a great selection and we got our Sunpak patio heaters right away at a very reasonable price. This place has everything, including a Weber hamburger cookbook that you absolutely cannot leave the store without. I’m glad we made the trip over here from the Valley. This place is a real find.

Nicest grill place around! Most helpful staff! Jamie was so helpful in helping me get things prepared for a big green egg purchase. They offer delivery for a service charge and also free assembly. Would highly recommend this place for any grilling needs!

i don’t know what the previous reviewer was talking about. Armand’s is an incredible business with A++ customer service as well as inventory. They know their stuff and are so helpful and dependable. I told them my needs and I felt they really cared and wanted to make sure I was happy with my decision. I brought in other merchandise to be repaired and everything worked out great! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Armand’s to anyone looking for quality merchandise and great customer service. They are the whole package. It’s nice in this day and age to get quality and the personal touch… a disappearing art! By the way, delivery was as promised and the gentleman was knowledgeable and helpful… with some great suggestions!

I’m sitting here in my car (because this is my rental unit) waiting for Armand’s fireplace technician to show up. He was supposed to be here between 1 and 3pm. I called at 3pm to find out why he hasn’t arrived yet and they said he’s having car trouble but he’ll be here within an hour. It is now 4:15 and I am still waiting for a call back on the call I placed at 4:05 to get a status update.
Status update is they call at 4:17 saying it is going to be another 35 minutes. Now he is also having phone troubles. Not looking good.
Further update, the guy never showed up. I called at 4:37 to get an update and the guy on the phone said the technician is not coming and we have to reschedule. I told him that’s not happening because they will not be doing the work.

Nice and professional mom and pop style shop with good products. Do not buy grills too often so I specified my need for a grill that will be durable and the knowledge of the staff really made for a smooth experience.

After shopping BBQ’s at all the big box hardware stores, we figured we’d head over to the experts at Armand’s and finally get some answers about the differences in the grills in which we we’re interested.
Gotta say I was pretty disappointed in the level of expertise demonstrated by the sales person to whom we spoke. I can google more info than this sales expert was able to share. Moreover, the inventory at Armand’s is feeble and uninteresting.
We had $ 500 bucks in our pocket, and ready to bring home a new grill today, but there was nothing in stock that fit our budget or needs. And furthermore, we were clearly looking to spend on a new product, so when I was showed a used grill that HADN’T BEEN CLEANED, I was sold on one thing only… we were destined to buy our grill elsewhere.
Keep your greasy food scraps Armand… I’m heading down the road.

Been there a couple of times. Looks like a front for another business behind the scenes because… sellers don’t care about selling, item you want is NEVER in stock, customer service is abysmally poor.
I called again today. They left me on hold for 10 mins. I called again and said I was put on hold too long, and the guy cuts me off with ‘please hold’. The first person comes back on and quotes me $ 219 for the Weber 1200 portable grill. This retails for $ 199 at Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware (in custom red!), and on Amazon. So this is a DISCOUNT store for $ 20 more than ALL THE MAJOR RETAIL STORES IN LOS ANGELES??? I don’t think so. The land they occupy in Culver City would be better re-​purposed as a community garden.

I stopped in to buy a small BBQ for my balcony. The salesperson did not try to upsell me but educated me about the differences between the two smaller models that they carried and gave me some cooking tips for the appropriate temperatures for different kinds of meat. I paid and returned the next day to pick up my assembled BBQ which I wheeled home as I only live a couple of blocks away.
I had to return the BBQ a couple of days later because my HOA cited CA Fire Code prohibitions about BBQs on balconies. While they didn’t seem to be big fans of my HOA or the regulations, they happily accepted the BBQ back and refunded my credit card. It hadn’t been used but had been wheeled for several blocks so I was expecting a lot of resistance.
They were a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them.

The one star is being polite. The manager, Sheldon, is very rude. He has no type of customer service. He hung up on my face. He said «this conversation is over» *click* because of a joke that was made that he misunderstood. I was trying to do business with him and he flipped out. It wasn’t even a personal joke. I am calling the manager to complain about his service.

Unfortunately, this place has really poor customer service, I really don’t understand why all of those people work there because I went in the store nobody was doing anything except for one person.
I wanted to try to find a different type of grill for my barbecue, after waiting a while somebody finally noticed that I was waiting, after telling him what I wanted he told me he couldn’t help me unless I had an exact size, then he pulled out a book flipped through some pages to show me there’s a million different types of grills. everything he said was true, the problem here was he had a shitty attitude he didn’t want to work, or he didn’t want to talk to me.

All this guy needed to say was let me check to see if we have anything in the store that might work, and that would have been acceptable but he didn’t!

I consistently try to go patronize Armand’s and I’m consistently disappointed. The response to one phone call about a certain grill’s availability was met with «Well, it’s not really grilling season any more, so we don’t have any in stock.»
It was September. In Los Angeles. When is it not grilling season in Southern California?
And not open on Sunday? C’mon…

If you need a grill… and want the best selection, you must come to Amand’s! They make it very easy for you… and the staff really knows their stuff! After a bit of research, I walked into Armand’s and had a fully assembled Weber Grill at my home the very next day! The whole experience was so quick and painless! I did not have any issues with their service… Very pleasant and professional.
