I have visited this place a few times to buy some good home and gardening books. I am a huge fan of home and gardening. It is a great resource to find such books, along with any other books, movies, or music pieces I may have in mind. This place is arranged well so I can find what I am looking for easily. I usually do not have any problems with my searches. The employees also have a good eye with keeping everything clean and organized. This detail makes my visits a little more comfortable. Their selection is outstanding. In the past, when there was a particular piece that I had in mind, it was almost always there. If it wasn’t, then there was something close it and something just as good. I love that I can buy these pieces for a cheap price compared to a lot of retail stores. Most of the time, the used ones are as good or close to as good as buying them brand new. The employees are friendly and helpful. They have appeared to be happy to go out of their ways to help me find what I am looking for and to assure that I have a good experience there. I have never had any problems with rude employees. Anytime I am in the area and in need of a good home and garden book, I will continue to keep this place in mind. I feel like I can count on them to have what I am looking for.

Who doesn’t love used books? I really enjoy meandering around this store. I would have to agree with previous reviewers that the staff is not the most friendly, especially the buyer who has an attitude. I won’t sell my books here again.

Its a pretty good one. Wish it were a little bigger and that some of the shelves emptied a little faster. Prices for used books are a bit high. Check out their clearance racks.

I love having a Half Price Books near me and I’ve been going to this location for about 3 years. My only complaint is not enough circulation of items. I’ve seen stuff sit there nearly a year. And a few times I have dealt with a couple rude employees that clearly didn’t last long. Overall, you’ll find some bargins and markups.

Never been to this location before and decided to check it out. I had a number of books and cds to sell. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon, but it only took about 12 – 15 minutes for the staff to assess my profit. I got about $ 17, which is no where near what it’s all worth, but I took it. This store save me on time trying to sell online, taxes and shipping fees. I will likely use this location again because of the speedy and helpful customer service and location.

Zero stars for the trade-in factor(DONOTBOTHER! WASTEOFTIME!) Bring in a bag of books, get an offer of $ 1. No, I am not exaggerating. Four stars for the books & movies. I pop in here a few times a month to check out their selection on technology books and photography books. The selection is very outdated but every once in a while, you can find a gem. The key to shopping at this place is the $ 1-$ 3 clearance racks peppered throughout the store. You can get AMAZING deals on these racks. And no, they’re not littered with no-name titles — popular bestsellers end up on these racks, so check it often if you can. Bottom line: Great place to buy books. If you’re looking for cash for your books, just donate them to Goodwill and enjoy the tax write off. You’ll come out much further ahead.

I was quite dissapointed buy th buyer here today. I know some of my books… ok, a lot of my books, were out-dated, but with a couple pretty new, and some expensive text books in the mix, it was a bit of a blow to only be offered $ 2 for the two box lot. I usually go to the SLP Half-Price to recycle my read books, and they seem more fair by far. That store also seems to have a better selection. I found a great new German import LP here today for only $ 4, so I’m not going to hate… I’m just not going to try to sell here ever again.

It’s great that there are half price book stores in all different directions. I never get out this way so I was anxious to try out day 4 of the sale. Sure enough they had a book on my list and another by one of my favorite authors, Lawrence Block. You can’t help the size of the store, and during a sale everybody’s bumping into each other. There was a line at the register and only 1 guy up front, but a very nice one.

I love Half Price Books. It’s one of my several go-to places when I want to buy cheap and used mystery books. I dont collect mystery books because after I read the book once, the thrill is over, so i always try to find and buy cheapest mystery books possible. This location is nice for my goal. I always walk straight to the clearance mystery books and grab 3 – 4 books for a dollar each whenever I go there. I also love their selections for kid books, and cook books. One time I got my niece almost 20 of the little golden books for only 47 to 97 cents each. How could you beat that? :)

I do love that there is a Half Price Books in Crystal. I stop by once a month and see what they have. I will get lost looking at all the stuff they have. I wish they had all their stuff on computer but most of their staff knows their inventory pretty well. Very clean and organzie, highly recommend this place for book lovers.
