The only reason I give one star is because giving none is not an option. I agree with James A. this company is the worst company we have ever dealt with. Sloppy, unprofessional, untimely, did not complete the job they were hired to do. They broke a lamp and did not compensate for this. It was like pulling teeth to get them to come to work. They did not use drop cloths, spilled paint all over our deck. Then the creep who spilled the paint went into the basement and found some grey paint and tried to cover the places he had spilled paint. Problem: the paint he used was not even the same color as the paint on the deck!!! A disaster from beginning to end. Their claims on their website: «CertaPro Painters of McHenry, IL is the painting company of Certainty. Interior painting or exterior painting, we are certain to exceed your expectations.» DEFINITELY NOT. «We are certain to focus on every detail.» THEY PAID NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL! «We are certain to create an experience of positive and lasting value for our customers.» ABSOLUTELY NOT. THE ONLY LASTING IMPRESSION WAS TO TRY TO WARN ANYONE ABOUT USING THEM TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

I contracted with them to pInt 12 rooms in our home. The owner was very hard to get ahold of and when I called to get an update on when the job was scheduled it seemed they (owner and wife) always had a reason for being unavailable: vacation, Kids baseball, etc.
when the crew of 5 arrived they were very messy. They finished job (rushed through job) and I had to call back because they never painted front door, hallway closet and the door jamb of one door.
The workers were very messy, leaving plastic water bottles strewn throughout my house, paint chips everywhere and sunflower seds they obviously ate while working. They got paint on my cork floor, cabinets and doors and left paint on two rubber kitchen mats in our kitchen.
I am disappointed in the quality of their work
I would not recommend them to anyone
