Went to salon 48 hours before important business trip to get a haircut… front desk was very accommodating and got me in that afternoon with Stephanie. She spent time asking questions about my hair and lifestyle and proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Alyhough i have no frame of reference regarding other stylists I would highly recommend Face Value especially Stephanie.

I got great service for about a year, then found they are a victim of their own success. It has a very nice separate «mens» area, but it is not staffed, you have to make a salon appointment. I have been paying for a «membership» which entitles me to unlimited cuts… if you can get an appointment. Unfortunately, I have had to make them further and further in advance. I have never been successful getting a walk in cut. The realities of my personal and professional life precludes appointments weeks in advance. Thus, the membership option has become a big waste of money. If you have a busy, chaotic schedule, dont buy a membership.

I had my bridal hair and makeup done with Face Value. The mothers and bridal party also had various services. I worked with Lucinda, who is definitely a character. She does good work, but she also talks a LOT about how good her work is. My biggest piece of advice would be to make sure that you 1) do the test — it took a while to get her to understand how I wanted my hair, and 2) leave a LOT of time since she is so chatty. To her credit, during the test, she was inistent that I not leave until I was completely happy. She also took photos to be sure to remember how I wanted it done. My bridal party was also happy with their services. The salon is quite nice, and they let you bring in lunch (there are a few little lunch places nearby).
