this is my main fish spot they used to be on ralph ave i came across them again from walking in the neighborhood the fish knish is the bomb the shrimp is good and not breaded i bring everyone to this place

I had a craving for wings and found this little gem on Unilocal.I decided to get the chicken & shrimp combo with a piece of fish on the side and I was not disappointed. The staff are going to get to know me for sure. Simple menu and great food.

Great fried fish and fries joint. Hand cut fries and light fluffy fish — not greasy. The shrimp are excellent as well. Try to eat as soon as the order is ready as the fries get soggy after travel. The lunch special is an excellent value.

Fried food lovers come, enjoy and be a glutton. Git yo shit and go! Says the owners. Ok maybe not that harsh but this is strictly a takeout spot that serves up fried fish, chicken and shrimp. I can only speak for the fried fish — it was well battered and not heavily seasoned.
The fries are cut in front of you, definitely entertaining to see your potato go straight from the bag, cut, washed then to the grease. The tartar sauce was a bit vinegary for my liking but it was still a decent snack.
I took away one star since I thought it would be great for them to have some steamed veggie options, give me something to take away the fried guilt please.

Are you kidding me about this fried chicken? I thought the fried fish was great… but today we had the fried chicken and it is so good. I was pretty full when it arrived at my house (a surprise meal!) and I was pushed to just «try some». And then i couldn’t put it down! Jeez, it’s good. And it wasn’t even greasy, just an amazing crusted fried chicken. But still my fav of Git it is the Fried Shrimp. That’s right, I capitalized it. It’s that good. Nice addition to the nab!

This spot opened in December, and is a welcome local lunch spot for the immediate neighborhood. The staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious! I’m hooked on the fried chicken, but friends rave about the fish-​n-​chips, shrimp-​n-​chips, and the wings. There also a variety of sauces to add to your meal.
It’s take out only, hence the name, so call in advance. There are daily lunch specials, with soda (C&C).
The only unavoidable draw back of takeout is fries don’t hold up well in to-​go containers. They do punch holes in the top of the styrofoam. Perhaps leave the top ajar on your walk home or back to work.
If you like comfort food, check this place out!!!
