Red Racks stores are owned and operated by the Disabled American Veterans(DAV) organization. I’ve donated to them for years(They have a truck that comes to the house.), but never put them together with Red Racks. This is a good connection for me. There were great opportunities for children’s clothing, women’s outerwear(Many coats priced in the $ 8.98-$ 12.98 range, and that includes some suede jackets.) Lots and lots of women’s clothing. Some men’s clothing and actually more than I’ve seen at other thrift stores. And there’s a separate section for flannel shirts. Board games and stuffed animals. Shoes and boots for both genders and all sizes. DVDs, albums(yes, vinyl; I saw an Andy Williams Christmas album), CDs, books(both hardback and paperback). An abundance of trinkets and tchotchkes — many in the kitsch category. Kitchen gadgets, plates, glasses(I saw one set that looked like it was from the ‘50s.), mugs, utensils, coffeemakers and coffee pots. A treasure trove of good deals to support a good organization.

This is a great thrift store! Much better organized than the average thrift shop, which is a perk for someone who may have some slight OCD tendencies(that’s me, friends… the first step is admitting it, right?). You don’t have to sift through tons of stuff to find what you need; the aisles are all labeled by type(short sleeve, long sleeve, jeans, blouses, etc.) as well as size — so helpful! The store has an awesome selection of clothes; they’re divided into men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. Be aware that they only have two fitting rooms, so if someone has a lot of clothes, you might be waiting for a little bit. However, the fitting rooms are clean and well lit(not cluttered with clothes people didn’t put away). The prices are comparable to a Goodwill, maybe slightly higher, but it looks like they have sales that rotate daily. The one slightly annoying thing is that they staple the prices to the actual tags themselves. You just have to work a little harder to see the brand and the size of the item. I think their clothing selection is great, but not so much when it comes to other things. They do have housewares, a few pieces of furniture, and photo frames, but not as much as you would expect. All in all, though, great place! The staff are mostly friendly, too. Come for the well-organized clothes and you’ll definitely find a good deal! I think this might become my go-to thrift store(out of the ones I’ve been to in this area so far) because of the combination of big selection and low price.

This store has always taken care of me if i have a problem with defective product. I know they test all electric items but remember it is DONATED stuff sometimes it will have a problem and I bring this to the attention of the store and they do their best to fix the problem.

Having been to many thrift stores in the STL area I know what to expect in these stores. This store is nicely kept and more organized than most other thrift stores I’ve been to. Though I haven’t always found what I was looking for, I can’t get upset about it since their stock depends on donations. Sometimes I’ve walked away with a bag of clothes, other times nothing; but that’s to be expected. I was able to save some $$$ using a Groupon, something I’ve not seen at other thrift stores. Though I didn’t have a ton of staff interaction, they all appeared to be kind and courteous. There aren’t many thrift stores in this area, compared to like the Crestwood/South County area, so I’ll definitely be going back.

I love how everything is organized! Even the clothes are separated into types and sizes for me, women, and kids. Lots of toys, home goods and books. The stores are pretty clean given how much business that they get. The donation site there is pretty simple as well. If you donate you get a coupon!

I love the people who work at this store in Creve Coeur. They are the loveliest. The store is pretty orderly but can use some more organization and maybe a few retail comforts like a few mirrors in clothing sections and some better seating throughout the store instead of one section. I’m not impressed with the selection of quality clothing, maybe that will come in time. I think most of the prices are too high and inconsistent. I went in for the twenty-five cent sale one Sunday and was hard-pressed to find much for a quarter in the racks. Maybe a purging the night before and placing those clothes in their own section of the store would make it easier. Will I go back? Yes, because I’m unaware of anything in the immediate area like it.
