Companions and I stepped inside for the coffee and not the wine. It seemed to be a combination of a vino-café boutique wherein you would sip on your vino, chase it with an espresso, and buy expensive items you never really knew you needed. Companion’s coffee was tasty — not sure if they don’t have drip coffee available — but we were given a pour-over, which isn’t bad since it’s guaranteed freshness. Also, we did step inside at an odd(ish) hour of approximately eleven so perhaps the drip would be reserved for the AM rush. In any case, we got our coffee, resisted to chug a gin-and-tonic, and went on our merry way.

We were there this past Thursday. It was the perfect place to stop with my fiancé. There was an awesome guitar player who played both originals and covers. He was excellent! Such talent. Our bartender was also very engaging, but knew when to give us space to chat. He was great to talk to and we had excellent service. It’s a great place to cozy up and relax after a long day in the mountains. The wine selection isn’t huge but there is certainly something for everyone and covering all price points. Can’t wait to go back on our next trip to Crested Butte.

My daughter’s favorite place for a mommy and me tea in Crested Butte. She gets hot chocolate, I get something herbal and we enjoy our girl time. But they have lots more than coffee and tea. They stock a full bar and a nice wine selection too. The service has always been friendly, if not overly prompt. The first time I ever came here, I left my purse. I came back the next morning and they had it tucked safely away. The atmosphere is cozy. It is easy to feel right at home here. During the season, they have live music in the evenungs. Check the local(free) paper for a list of whose olaying.

Had a fairly nice pre dinner wine and appetizer with friends and family. When our nephew who just recently moved out and is working 2 minimum wage jobs paid the 93 $ tab the person at the bar went out of their way to say that we had a $ 93 dollar tab and no tip to everyone in there. And didn’t bother to bus the table and find a $ 20 tip. Didn’t spoil the night but was rather insulting.

Very nice interior. But the chai came less than lukewarm, and the proprietress disappeared into her adjoining store before I could ask for some heat.

Stopped in here for a drink with my mom while my elevationally challenged husband camped out at the Oxygen Bar down the street. We happened to come in during Happy Hour, which was 50% off a glass of wine and a tapas.(You have to order both to get 50% off both, but basically it’s like you are getting one for free!) The wines by the glass were between $ 8 — $ 10 and the tapas between $ 6 — $ 9. The wine selection wasn’t huge for a wine bar, but the ones they had looked pretty good. I was especially happy to see the Kris Pinot Grigio, I’ve been a fan of this wine for about 10 years and don’t see it on many menus. Their tapas isn’t traditional tapas, but they were appropriately portioned appetizers. There are three on the menu, we tried the Baked Brie and some kind of cold bean dip thing with tortilla chips. There was also some kind of stuffed mushroom cap or something, but we didn’t try that one. The food was prepared right in front of us by the bartender so it was pretty quick. We enjoyed both appetizers and of course the wine was great. Our total bill was only $ 15.50 because of Happy Hour — gotta love that! Our bartender Joe really made the experience great. He was friendly and engaging while still giving my mom and I space for our chatting. He also gave us some other restaurant recommendations, which unfortunately we did not get to try because we had to cut our trip short because of my husband’s altitude problems. :( There is a lovely garden in back with tables and chairs which would be awesome for enjoying some wine outside. Could totally chill out here with a bottle and some friends! Another couple at the bar told us about a great wine by the bottle special, I think it was something like $ 10 for a bottle or something so you may want to ask. I would definitely come back here and hopefully I will be back in Crested Butte soon. As soon as I get back to LA I will post some pics of the garden and our food!

We started going to the Princess 10 years ago when it was the only non-smoking bar we could find in CB. Even though everyplace is non-smoking now, this is still my favorite bar in town — and one of my favorites anywhere. They always have a great wine selection and I’m told they have some of the best coffee drinks anywhere. The service is way above average although there are times when they get slammed. There is very little turnover at the Princess so we see pretty much the same bartenders year after year. Tyler Hansen plays there on a regular basis(right now it’s Friday nights) and it’s worth a stop just to listen to a set. This is a «don’t miss» for us when we’re in town.

Soy lattes, Irish coffees, and a good selection of wine. Window seats with pillows make a cozy place to sit and read or talk.

$ 1.50 margaritas from 5 – 7 brought us in. Actually it helped us make friends with another couple. We are staying at the Elizabeth Anne B&B(great place check my review) and after hiking we had crashed for a nap. After our nap we were outside wearing out our dog before dinner when my wife sparked a convo with another couple. We all ended up at the Princess. My conclusion is that buck 50 margs make friends. They had a few small plates such as brochette and then a brea with a raspberry compote. We had the brea, which was just ok. These were half off with a glass of wine. They have a decent wine selection, basically a glass of each common varietal. I think in had a glass of merlot, it was very good, but I can’t remember. The best part was the great small patio! We will be back tomorrow and maybe the next day. Great happy hour to start the night.

Stumbled in thinking it was a bar bar. Turns out, all I needed was a spiked coffee & corner acoustic that night. No idea how long I sat there, because it just didn’t matter.
