I have eaten there twice in a week with a group of people so we sampled quite a few things on the menu. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection and the sushi, sashimi, and rolls where fantastic. Great service, presentation, and drinks. Great destination while in town.

Hmm… when you order sashimi(and nothing else) at a sushi restaurant, do you expect the sashimi to be served as an appetizer?(That was a rhetorical question). Fish quality was average(which, in a remote place like Crested Butte, is noteworthy). Fish portions were notably small, e.g., half a «normal» size of sashimi. Other dishes were fairly good. Service was attentive but clueless. I expected far better from a restaurant with 4.5 stars on Unilocal

Been here a few times. Service has been inconsistent. Last good service. Sushi not bad. Price is a bit high.

Wonderful as always. Start with the Cizz roll and then graze ur way thru all sorts of culinary delights. The sushi is amazing and then so is everything else. Service is always excellent. Highly suggest reservations.

Love this sushi place! Portions on the rolls are usually huge, so… slow your roll, lol.

The dynamite shrimp appetizer is to die for! The sushi was good, too especially the cizz roll. I really want to try the ping pong roll next time. I like the outdoor seating

Never thought that I would find great Sushi in Crested Butte, CO but what a pleasant surprise! The Dynamo Shrimp was insane and everything else we had was wonderful too. Service was excellent the first night and non existent 2 nights later:(That being said the sushi is great.

We stopped in for happy hour, reduced prices on drinks and food on a Sunday evening. Super nice staff, very efficient, and every bite of our sushi, chicken meatballs, and salad was superior. Highly recommended!

Excellent sushi! Tried several tuna rolls that were delicious but my favs were cizz rolls, yellow tail tuna and meatless Janes Addiction that had yummy sweet potato among the other fresh ingredients. Great(but short — 1 hour) happy hour. Prickly Pear margaritas are awesome!

Chef Seth took such good care of my group, the food was incredible, great service, and awesome cocktails; next time I am back at the Butte I will be going back for dinner!

It was quite a mess on Elk with the festivities and all, but we seemed to find the best place considering. We sat at the bar, had a great beverage or two and proceeded to order a few tasty items. Several rolls, edamame and shishito peppers. Everything was fresh, tasty and presented well. At the end of the day, we’re in a mountain town far away from the norm and I’d say we were quite happy with our choice. Good times and good food!

Outrageously overpriced for the quality. King Soopers does better sushi. The fish was reasonably fresh but the rice managed to be overcooked, mushy and dry around the edges at the same time without any hint of seasoning in it. The miso soup tasted like chicken stock from a box with some miso stirred in and 2 – 3 pieces of tofu. Their seaweed salad was the best part of my meal. My wife had the filet which was reasonably tender but was underseasoned and came out medium rare when she ordered medium. The potato side dish was forgettable. They did a good job of adjusting the bill for the subpar sushi. Also, as we were waiting for the hostess to grab our menus another party walked in and she stopped helping us to seat them first because they had a reservation. Not cool. Also, a server completely cut me off as I was making my way through the bar and blocked my path through so she could talk to her friend. For a place that is charging more than typical fine dining prices they are way off the mark in terms of both service and the quality of their food.

We decided to go to the happy hour special that everyone on Unilocal seemed to be raving about … Good call! Be sure to get there right at 5:30 or a few minutes beforehand because the bar area is pretty limited seating(maybe 12 – 15 seats?). The specials on the sushi were great! My husband and I split spicy tuna roll and the Cizz roll… Then quickly ordered another Cizz roll after one taste of it! We both got a soup too, which we could’ve gone without. The Cizz roll is a MUSTHAVE. The owner was our sushi chef and he was very friendly and it was great to hear his background and hear him talk to some of the locals. This was probably our favorite meal while visiting.

This is my favorite sushi and seafood restaurant anywhere… and there landlocked! I’ve been at least 20 times over 10 years and when asked the one place I want to eat on vacation it’s always easy… LILS!

Lil’s is always a great place to go with a larger group that has a more defined palate. The sushi is pretty great — and like always filling. You MUST do dynamo shrimp! Drinks are good — service is nice and helpful. Good shopping around the restaurant to check out if there is a wait.

Lil’s is pricey but one of my favorite nice restaurants in town! I’ve eaten here a handful of times and you can go small with just a few sushi rolls or go pricey with a filet and the halibut as main courses. On our most recent trip to CB, my husband and I did all of the above. Everything was mouthwatering, the steak was cooked perfectly(medium rare) and the fish was seasoned perfectly. I recommend trying the Saki Mojito!

Lils is my favorite restaurant in crested butte. The fish is always fresh and the sushi is delicious. Love to have fresh fish at 8885′ feet!

There once was 2 sushi restaurants in Crested Butte but the other one packed up and traveled westward(maybe?). Then there was Lil’s Land and Sea. That’s all you gotta say! Being the only sushi place in town, I was iffy about even going here with my girlfriend. However, the Google Local reviews proved me wrong while I fact checked the reviews on Unilocal. You never know! Upon walking in, we were greeted by a nice hostess and immediately sat us at the bar. Within 10 minutes of happy hour starting, the bar filled up with a lot of regulars and customers alike. We had a bunch of rolls and salad. However, the one that stuck out was the Cizz roll: salmon and cream cheese roll tempura fried, sliced and baked with spicy mayo and topped with green onion, sesame seeds and unagi sauce. That hit the spot so good, we turned around and ordered another one! I would highly recommend going here. They have a lot more than just sushi if you’re not into raw fish. The atmosphere and service is fantastic. Not too keen on their drink making abilities though so I’d pass on that. Otherwise, this place gets a green light!

Whoa, talk about a pleasant surprise while in Crested Butte! When I heard there was only one sushi spot in town I really didn’t have too high of expectations. But their one hour happy hour window roped us in and I’m happy they did because it was quite an experience. So their happy hour is every day from 5:30 — 6:30 at the sushi and regular bar, we got there right at 5:30 which was smart because this place filled up quickly. Sake ½ off, $ 3 well drinks(big pour on the cranberry/vodka – thank you!), $ 6 mojitos and prickly pear margarita specials plus specials on sushi. We order the Cizz roll and Spicy Tuna to start off with then split the Hamachi Kama, it was so delicate and juicy, some of the best I’ve ever had! We were hungry for more so we got another Cizz roll and the House roll(both are on happy hour special). It was great to sit and chat with the sushi chefs but that didn’t last too long since the place was rocking on a Saturday evening. Don’t be a hater like me and think a mountain town can’t have legit sushi – this place is the real deal!

What a charming spot to bring your favorite date! It’s intimate dinning and amazing service, This place really sets the bar for Crested Butte. Start off with one of the delicious martinis, the Shi-Tito’s is my fav! Tito’s vodka Sake and Shishito peppers make a easy drinking with a hint of spice! Rolls to die for! The riptide, crunchy royal, cizz and the rainbow! OH don’t forget the sashimi roll, cucumber wrapped around sashimi! The dinner menu is just as phenomenal! One of the best steaks I’ve had in the valley! They also have happy hour 5:30 — 6:30 for sushi and drink specials, the infamous prickly pear marg is on it get one! Yes it’s pink be a man and order one! Weather it’s a date night, friends or family outing. Lil’s is the way to go, truly something for everyone!
