A Cut Above

I don’t live in crested butte but come here often and got married here. Heather did my hair and I can’t explain how amazing it looked. They even went and got me fresh flowers to place in my hair! The receptionist was so sweet and followed up with me on an appointment change very promptly. Heather was professional, quick, did exactly what I wanted, and super friendly.

Depending upon the stylist this place can be awesome.

This place is a shocking disappointment. I cannot tell you how floored I am about the horrible customer service.
My first appointment should have been enough for me. I have two employees who I had to give the afternoon off (because of the constraints of our business) to get my hair cut. I was greeted at the door by an extremely bitchy woman who basically yelled at me and told me it was my fault I no longer had an appointment, and that I «shouldn’t have shown up.» Apparently my stylist was ill, and they couldn’t reach me by phone (which I specified when I made the appointment, and left an email address with them that they did not use). I said nothing, but left in a huff because of the arrangements that I had to make to get down into town for a haircut in the first place. A stylist ran out after me and told me she would cut my hair instead. The hair cut was good.
I tried to see the same stylist again 2 months later (same arrangement with my employees), and arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment. I’m not exaggerating: 10 minutes. The shop was closed, no note, no message on my phone about what happened. I waited for 15 minutes. I felt foolish. I asked the neighboring salon if they were likely to return, and *they* apologized to me for the behavior of the people at A Cut Above. I called the number on their door, and got the owner (?) who informed me that if a client was late, they would leave, no grace period. I lost an afternoon of productivity due to this. I should send them a bill.
This salon is unprofessional, and has lost my business forever.
