This is a very good country food restaurant. The two negative reviews I see are simply hogwash. If you don’t like country vegetables and meats, it’s simple– don’t go there. But if you do, as a local I can tell that they are at the top of the food chain. Everything delicious!

First time trying the original. Nice simple country buffet. The catfish was real good. Flour breading rather than cornmeal. The fried chicken was good too. Vegetables fixed southern style. The lima beans had 2 ham hocks floating! They were good.

I was going to give two stars immediately after eating here but I have been swishing water in my mouth for the last ten minutes trying to get this wretched taste out of my mouth to no avail. There was rotten lettuce on the salad bar(the main reason I wanted to go was for vegetables as I didn’t feel inclined to gorge myself) and their sides were strange. Carrots and shredded turkey? No thanks. I opened my silverware and there was a hunk of meat on it so I didn’t get off to a great start. The first piece of chicken I had was great but I got another and it was very dry. Everything was crazy salty. They did have some decent spicy gravy though. The cake tasted like it was made in the microwave and wouldn’t come off the spoon so I let it have its way and remain there. Previous poster was right about very unfriendly servers. If you bathe in the front yard with a garden hose, this place is probably up your alley.

Average country food, you won’t be disappointed but you won’t be blown away either. The biscuits and gravy are excellent, with large chunks of flavorful sausage, but the grits are glue-y. My husband loves the breakfast sandwiches. What lowers this place for me is I always have grumpy waitresses. For example, today I ordered just water — no coffee– and the waitress stopped speaking to me. She sat at a table in the dining area and chatted with her regular customers(there are lots here) while the other waitress on duty brought our food out and did a table touch. There aren’t that many breakfast places here, so… I guess you just have to grit your teeth and be expected to be treated poorly.

Breakfast buffet was only $ 6.99. This is country cooking. Not diet friendly. Bacon was yummy. Cheese grits and biscuits were superb. As were the home fries. They open at 5am. Parking lot was packed. Totally a locals type place. I liked the décor. There’s good truck parking too. If you’re in the area you should check it out. ^_^

Stopped for the breakfast buffet. The parking lot was packed! Always a good sign. The buffet was average: Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, hash, cheese grits, French toast sticks, and peaches. We didn’t leave hungry!

A typical southern buffet find. What made this place great was the very friendly staff. Delicious rolls and Perfect sweet tea.
