Frescos is oddly located in the middle of a business zone. An easy on and off 295. The parking lot and outside appearance of frescos is very understated; with what appears at first glance to be a storage garage to left of entry. On the inside you will upscale furnishings and pleasant lighting. Staff was attentive and busied themselves wiping and cleaning. Drinks and food came as ordered. Chicken parmigiana was slightly over cooked and mushy. All other dishes arrived in good order. Only complaint, music selection… Hits of the 80s set to contemporary melodies. Tad distracting at times. We would go back again.

Excellent food but the wait staff was a little over burden with the number of tables they had responsibility for during the evening

Ok. I’ll start with atmosphere. .dimly lit and loud perfect for our girls night! Our waiter had to take care of far too many tables therefore service not so good BUT the food was top notch. Started with a nice malbec and bread with dipping sauce. We all shared the honey pizza. .perfect! My butternut squash pasta dish was so flavorful topped with 2 sea scallops, I was in heaven!

This place has a very elegant yet casual atmosphere. One of the coolest elements is the sliding ladder on the wine shelf! I ate wayyyy too much food but the food was delicious; Shrimp & Stemmed Artichoke Hearts with a balsamic reduction, Espresso Braised Short Rib, Grilled Pizza(FORGETABOUTITTT), Veal over risotto with Peas. I’m still full the next day. 5*****

Had dinner here with my husband, parents and my two children on 2⁄13 for my mom’s birthday. Our server Danielle C. was a delight, very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. We ordered calamari and the angus bruschetta to start with and both were very tasty. My 1 year old really enjoyed the sauce on the bruschetta. My mom and husband each ordered the seafood bisque and said it was delicious, my 4 year old enjoyed the chicken escarole soup and chicken fingers. Our entrees were delicious(two different kinds of veal, bone-in swordfish with veggie risotto and the filet mignon). The servings were generous and prepared exactly as ordered. We’d definitely be back. One minor bummer, my husband asked for his risotto to be wrapped to go and the busser put a dirty dish on top of it, so that ended that. The worst part of my evening was the tight parking lot. My car was hit and the person drove away. I left a message for the manager to ask about security cameras outside, hopefully this can get resolved soon. The incident didn’t sour me towards the restaurant but I don’t think I’ll drive there again.

Dropped in on a quiet Wednesday night. No more than a dozen other diners were there. The hostess seated us immediately and was very friendly. The décor is subdued and comfortable. The menu is perfectly acceptable, although not terribly original. My companion ordered the butternut squash Pasta dish, and I ordered the special of the evening, which was a salmon with almonds and sesame orange glaze with spinach risotto. Our appetizer was a tuna tower, which was very nice. It was both visually appealing and quite tasty. My salmon was overly sweet and the risotto was very gummy. My companions pasta dish was mediocre and went largely untouched. Our cocktails were wretched. Far too much sour mix in mine and a sangria that was overly sweetened for my friend. As good as the tuna tower was, I do not think we will be returning. I would recommend the East Greenwich location for a better meal and overall experience.

Very disappointing! Found on Unilocal(which I have trusted blindly for years with great success). Wine selection limited. Served bread and oil, a common service at restaurants these days. The bread had a hearty crust which I love but only tasted like burned bread. The oil was mysterious and orange with little flavor. Had a Caprese salad. Very good but not outstanding. Then I had the seafood linguini. Worst mistake. The calamari and clams were overcooked and rubbery. I then removed them to eat an overpriced bowl of spaghetti. The parmesan that was brought was powdery and suspicious of cheap parm with fillers. After a few bites which had grit left from the clams I couldn’t stand it anymore. Time to go.

Stop by Sunday afternoon, right at the end of the brunch and all the chafing dishes looked dried and picked over. Let me correct myself, when we walked in it was still brunch but by the time they got around to actually sitting us down at 1 of the 8 empty tables and by the time we got to be greeted once we actually sat down it was the end if brunch so we opted for the menu and ordered dinner instead. Ordered the ahi tuna tower, they should eliminate the rice it would be so much better. And the braised espresso rubbed short ribs, not worth the $ 14.00 at all. There was 3 little pieces of what I thought was meat but no it was(3)1.5in x 1.5in pieces of short rib with the bone so there was actually 3 bites worth of meat on the whole dish. I’ve gotten 3 huge pieces of stewed short rib stroganoff at red stripes for a few dollars more. Okay now for my entrée, I ordered the special of course which was the stewed veal with sweet peas over homemade pappardelle pasta. Dish was tasty and veal was tender the pasta was a little over cooked and was a little gummy. I did enjoy that my dish. The other dish was the seared sea scallops. There was 6 medium size sea scallops over pan seared potatoe slices

After passing Fresco every day on my commute, it was high time to check it out, and what a delight it was when I did! Fresco Too is the latest in a number of restaurants that have inhabited this transformed warehouse, and fair to say I think it has staying power. While the exterior is well maintained, it’s industrial setting is a bit off-putting. Rest assured, the interior décor is cozy, inviting and rivals the ambiance of any 4-star restaurant. My party of four enjoyed an early Sunday dinner and was one of just a few patrons at the early hour, but the crowd soon followed And anyone entering the door was quickly greeted by the friendly staff. The large, inviting bar seems to be a very popular spot, and one that I’ll come back to for my next visit. Everything about my experience was very good or exceptional. Large menu offers something for everyone, including a nice selection of gluten free entrees. I fell in love with the strawberry spinach salad, and could have made a meal of that in itself! The Caesar salad(with meatball!) was a bit overdressed for my liking but the tasty, moist meatball made up for it. And the chicken picata was delish. My dining companions also enjoyed their selections — scallops and angel hair pasta, seafood linguini and shrimp risotto. As others have reported, portions are very generous, and we all left with leftovers. Perhaps even better than the meal was the graciousness and professionalism of our server, James. Can’t recall ever having a better restaurant server — super friendly, extremely accommodating and very helpful with menu suggestions(right down to a few very honest and candid«don’t order» recommendations). James is the kind of guy you could just talk to all night, and we did! He told us he formerly worked at Spain and Marchetti’s, where he clearly earned his server«chops,» and it shows. If you dine at Fresco Too, I hope James is part of your experience because he made my first trip to Fresco Too definitely not my last. Very good food and excellent service. You’ll be glad you dined here!

Booked a reservation online for 3 people this past Friday — very easy process, even got a text to confirm the reservation. Got there around 6pm, our waitress, Marissa was awesome. Very knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered calamari for an app — we didn’t know which one we wanted, so she suggested we get it plain and the 3 different sauces on the side — this way the calamari stays crispy. What a great idea! We got the balsamic reduction, marina and a lemon garlic butter. I dipped into all 3 and they were all good! Great suggestion! I had a half order of risotto with chicken(still good size portion for only a half order at $ 9!). The others ordered short ribs and the chicken milanese special. My risotto was good but felt it could’ve used a bit more seasoning. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Everyone else liked their meals. Nice modern setup with good size bar. Clientele was a mix between older couples and families as I guess that’s what the community is filled with(Western Cranston). Wouldn’t mind trying again but would also like to try the EG location which I hear is just as good if not better.

The tuna tower was amazing I cannot wait to have it again! I love how it tasted with the seaweed salad & rice. The bread & oil was extremely tasty as well, with a little kick. My husband had a swordfish served on the bone and he loved it. He said it was the best swordfish he’s ever tasted. I had a ravioli special that had mushrooms, projuitto, asparagus and I think mascarpone cheese. It was really good! My dirty martini was good and although they didn’t have the wine my husband preferred he still enjoyed 3 glasses of the one he gave himwe went in to see my friend Natalie and are so glad we did! We will definitely be back

We are regulars here and have never had a bad or even mediocre experience. The food is fresh, the menu varied, the staff friendly and the ambience comfortable. Daily specials and ½ price appetizers at the bar are a treat. Interesting wine selections. Highly recommended.

We tried Fresco for Easter Brunch and the food was phenomenal. We had a choice of either the buffet or menu items. We chose the buffet. Superb! The items were, scrambled eggs, western scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, French toast, pancakes etc… The lunch type items were just as delicious. Prime rib, roasted turkey breast, a stuffed pork tenderloin and delicious baked ham. Very nice sides too. The only bad thing was the price was 17.95, which was for the brunch and either a Mimosa or a Bloody Mary. Which we didn’t mind paying. My stepfather and niece each ordered an orange juice and instead of replacing that with the alcoholic drink they charged $ 2 for their juices. So I had to specifically order a non-alcoholic Mimosa in order to get what was supposed to come with the price. They also charge you per cup of coffee, at $ 2.50 a cup! We weren’t told this beforehand otherwise we wouldn’t have ordered them or as many as we had. Most people drink coffee with breakfast so if a person isn’t getting a Mimosa or Bloody Mary you can’t give them the coffee to replace it?! If it weren’t for drink issue I would have given 5 stars.

I had never heard of Fresco until we were given a gift card here. It’s in western Cranston in a small industrial park, just not an area we travel frequently. The staff was incredibly friendly and prompt; the ambiance could have been kicked up a notch. I ordered a cocktail that was grapefruit juice and vodka muddled with basil. It was so good I got two! I ordered their Steak Carbone, which they mentioned they were noted for, as it comes with a spicy steak sauce. I like spicy so I was looking forward to it. My husband got a seafood pasta dish. I have to say, I was disappointed in my steak. The sauce was more sweet than spicy and just not what I would have ordered had they marketed it that way. It was almost like a sweet teriyaki with no hint of heat at all. My husband enjoyed his meal though. The saving grace for me was the crusty bread, delicious drinks, and great service. I might try it again, but would probably go with a more traditional Italian dish.

Party of 4. Went on a Thursday night around 6, no reservation. Place was empty then filled up quick. They had a couple of big parties going on Service was very slow but it was because they were definitely understaffed. I had lychee martini and my friend got pear, both drinks very good. Hubby got red sangria and loved it. Ordered apps, calamari with balsamic reduction and coconut shrimp, very good– came hot to table A+ hubby got butternut squash tortellini dish, friends got baked pasta with shrimp and prosciutto added(They added $ 12 to bill for the extras, little high for the amount received) and the Fra Diablo w/sausage and clams, I got the chickpea salad special All the food was great. Only complaint was the service was slow. Place was clean, servers friendly would go back again

Love Fresco Too! The strawberry mango spinach salad is incredible! Definitely my new favorite salad ever! The eggplant parm was so delicious and the eggplant was perfect, most restaurants get it too crunchy or too mushy this was that perfect medium! Red sangria is awesome! My friend got a hot and dirty and loved it and she ordered the chicken risotto and the spicy tuna tower and couldn’t get enough! Love the location so happy western Cranston now has a go to spot! Be back soon!

The food is delicious They try, but light on ambience Go WELL before you’re hungry It’s too quiet on a weekday evening here, so the very-audible 80s soul they’re piping in elicited a grimace… but we sat down for a try at a place very local to us, well-rated thus far. My family loved our dinner here. The kids enjoyed pizza and lasagna. My wife had the Lobster Frescatore, and I had the Tossed Lasagna. Each bite was somewhere between good to excellent. Despite big portions, our plates were mostly clean by the time we were done. Also, I enjoyed that they had half portions at a commensurate price, as full portions were very nearly monstrous. The menu is varied and expansive(several pages of appetizers, salads, pasta, meat and fish entrees, and desserts). The wine list is extensive and enjoyable($ 7−10/glass, bottles run the popular gamut across styles). The cocktail list is creative and playful(first inside page of the menu). The beer offering is tight yet capable(3OK drafts and about 8 bottle selections). But the wait? Oh MAN. Dinner for a family of four took two full hours from sit-down to check-paid. Even on my most slow-paced date night, that’s stretching it. Judi was a gracious, friendly, and capable server — and she gave us a free dessert for the long wait. Thank you, Judi… but this was tough regardless. If you can wait patiently, you’ll be rewarded. If you’re in a rush? Call well ahead and get some deliciousness to go.
