Ehh… the customer service seems to have gone downhill.

The posts below are accurate. The store is well laid out; the products are mostly of high quality and the prices are reasonable. The problem is, you have to watch your receipt very carefully. They will advertise one price and charge you another. They fail to advertise prices for far too many products and often place items in ways that mislead you into thinking you’re getting a bargain.(Trust me, you’re not.) The cashiers often overcharge you by ringing you up for Bok Choy when you’ve bought Romaine(or other similar items with price disparities.) The cashiers’ mistakes are probably attributable to under-training and incompetence more than dishonesty, but irksome nonetheless. When you draw this to their attention, they’re not helpful. The bottom line is their pricing practices are misleading and disingenuous. Boo Winn-Dixie, you suck! I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Wow, I just had a hour of my life wasted by this Winn Dixie. I was charged $ 4.00 over for a soup and they couldn’t fix if at the register and said only customer service could do it. The soup was a John Follse soup that was on sale for 9.99. When I finally got to thru the line at customer service instead she charged my debit card for the soup again and insisted it went thru as a credit. Well I check my bank statement and they have now charged me 2x($ 28.00) For the soup I never got. Watch the registers closely here people. You don’t want to had to do. And yes it took 1 hour and 10 min total to get anything fixed. 4 strikes against this winndixie all in one trip!

Let me preface this review with this: I compare all my grocery store shopping experiences to my shopping experiences at Publix… THEBEST grocery store there is. Let’s start with the good: Large selection of products, winn-dixie reward card and fuel perks, $ 5 off coupons and their florist, Donna. And the not so good: Many everyday items are out of stock, especially when they’re on sale, NEVER a sales associate to be found on the floor if you have a question, disorganized and messy shelves, dirty floors, never an employee seen cleaning, sweeping, etc. slow cashiers, lines at check out, long wait at the deli counter, annoyingly not-that-convenient self check lanes, no assistance with groceries to your car, no consistent bag boys, high prices, and no buy one get one free items. If only Publix would expand their locations to Louisiana… I can only hope…

By far the nicest Winn-Dixie I have ever been in. Also, great food selection that they prepare everyday. When family come over and we go to the store they always admire it.

This is the fanciest Winn-Dixie I have ever been to. It may be the fanciest Winn-Dixie on earth, but since I haven’t been to every one, I can’t state that as fact. I have been here several times and each time I am surprised. I normally do not like Winn-Dixie, but this store is pretty awesome. As others have mentioned, this store is very well organized. It is set up so that if you just need to run in for milk, vegetables or prepared food, those items are all near the entrance. All other sections of the store are well laid out, and conducive to a full shopping experience. I found it very easy to navigate. Since the store is fancy, there are fancy items. The butcher counter had high quality cuts of meat, and an actual butcher willing to cut meat to order. The prepared food area even had a BBQ bar. Who needs lame rotisserie chicken when you can choose from several different types of BBQ? The liquor and beer sections were equally awesome and even had the expensive brands displayed. No need to get a manager to get fancy bourbon out of a case here. In summary, if you are in Covington and need groceries, come here, you’ll like it.

This place is insane. In a good way. I was driving back from Franklinton and decided it would be a fun trip to wander through Covington, and make a stop at this fancypants Winn Dixie. I knew it was huge, but I was still blown away. This place is awesome. Like Steve mentioned, it’s super organized. I’m used to the Winn Dixie locations in Marrero and Westwego, which are far from organized, and the produce is questionable at best. Here, everything looked fresh and appealing. I wanted to buy everything! I love the bulk section, and I wish we had that on the Westbank. Typically I have to go to Whole Foods for that. They also have tons of prepared foods, although I wasn’t hungry when I stopped(and it was 9:30pm so they were closing up the deli anyway). I didn’t try any of it, but it all looked and smelled delicious. I’m still curious to see what happens when it rains. The open-air market feel of the front entrance is awesome, but I can’t see the lack of front doors working well in a Louisiana spring storm. Still, I wish this was closer to home. It would definitely be my grocery go-to each week.

This is the best Winn Dixie! Love the open front with all the produce & the hot food selections are great when you don’t have time to cook dinner. The store is clean & spacious — even the bathrooms were clean!

This Winn-Dixie is almost as exceptional as Whole Foods! This store(I think) was the prototype for the new Winn-Dixie design concept. The store is über clean, very organized, has fresh products, and very good customer service. Lots of locally grown produce can be found here. The store is a great grocery store to shop at with its exposed-beam ceilings, wood and concrete flooring, and huge glass exterior entrance. In addition to the usual grocery store items they also have a Louisiana Local section, an outdoor farmers’ market area with organic and natural foods, a wing bar, a yogurt bar, and wood-burning rotisseries, I love this Winn-Dixie!
