What a great reastuarnt, food is always great and the service never disappoints ! Live music on the weekends and a beautiful atmosphere with the fireplace ! Vince and Gary behind the bar are on point and always great with conversation ! And the owner always comes out to greet you and make sure everything is ok ! Main dining room is adults only so very relaxing atmosphere ! Can’t go wrong at Mendacinos where they treat u like family !

Have been there several times, but they can’t seem to make a decent pizza. Very bland and skimpy on everything. If sitting at the bar, the the two male bartenders are way too over-anxious to serve you another drink before you even finish the one you have, like over-bearing car salesmen.

We have been here before since we come up to this area every summer. The food has always been good. On this last visit we ordered buffalo wings and they were awesome!!! Very well done just how I had asked for them. I had a slice and my significant other a chicken cutlet sandwich. He enjoyed the sandwich, which looked very good and a decent size. My slice was delicious. Thin crust pizza and tasty. The service was excellent!!! Our waitress was very friendly and funny! Definitely a must try spot if you’re in the area!!!

Vince and Gary are real characters, some of the finest bartenders in the Poconos. Park yourself there on a Sunday afternoon and you’ll have a blast. It’s even better in the winter when all the New Yorkers from Buzzard’s Pond(AKA Eagle Lake) are gone home.

Went for dinner and got the house special pizza. Each of us got a salad and it took 15 mins for us to get salad. So we mentioned to our waitress that we were not in a hurry and to wait on our pizza since one of our party also got boneless wings. So when the wings came out which took another 10 mins to get to the table. My wife out of morbid curiosity started the timer on her phone just to see how long it would be till the pizza showed up(remember we did ask for her to wait) 1min 54 seconds later here it comes our piping hot pizza. We said to our waitress«absolutely not take it back». Her excuse was that the wings and pizza come from two different kitchens(that is something she should be aware of and timed it mutch better) and since that happened we felt like we were being ignored. I had to ask for a second glass of soda. So when the pizza did come out it was the same pizza which now was not as hot at all. So in all it took 1 ½ hours to have salad boneless wings and pizza. Won’t be back. Bad experience. Very disappointing

You know, thank goodness for Mendicino’s. Slim pickins up here in the«poke-you-nose» mountains and this spot delivers decent food, great portions and reasonable prices(entrees only — apps are a bit pricey). Enjoyed a tasty mammoth-sized Stromboli this evening that, had I finished, was certain confetti would fall from above and staff would be celebrating my eating like a piggy. Needless to say — doggie bagged it. My wife had the lasagna which was very good and my boy had one of the kids meals — he shrugged and said was just«ah-ight». Hot wings were decent. Service was excellent! This is a good spot if you’re up here at the far end of the Poconos near Big Bass or Eagle Lakes.

I’ve only had their food at La Festa, but it is pretty good. I’ve tried their pizza and pasta with red sauce and they were both pretty good. I don’t really go into the North Pocono area, so I doubt I’ll ever get their establishment, but definitely at La Festa.

Dining Date December 29, 2014 for lunch. Large, clean seating areas in both the dining area and the bar. The inside is much better than you typically find in a pizza restaurant. The food itself wad fairly bland. My Italian hoagie had no seasoning although the lunch meat was good. My friend had the buffalo chicken stromboli and said it was ok. The service was terrific.

This is my second review of mendos. It continues to be a great place staff is friendly and inviting the owner is great. The food is fresh and tastes good. Food. I had the chicken noodle soup made from scratch this time. But we had the nacho mozzarella sticks. OMG they were soo good. At first I said to my self«ok this is prob going to be interesting». When we got the nacho sticks they were soo good. I could not believe it. I also had a chicken cheese steak which was very good. The chicken must have been beatin senseless in the Kitchen because the meat was fall apart tender. I will be back at mendos on my next trip to PA.

We hosted the first of my sister’s two bridal showers at Mendicino’s over the weekend. The groom’s family is from the Scranton area, hence the decision to hold one of the showers there. We arrived a bit early to get some things set up and the private party room was totally ready to go, with dining tables set and lots of extra tables around the room for desserts, gifts, food, etc. Our server for the afternoon was absolutely great. She refilled wine and water and took care of everything we needed. We started with some hot, self-serve apps that were pretty tasty, if a bit on the heavy side since nearly everything was fried. A few small signs with names of the selections would have been helpful since it was hard to tell what some items were. There were also a couple different types of square pizza and, though I usually do not like Scranton-style pizza, this was by far the best version I’ve had. Later, everyone agreed that the chicken parm entrée was delicious. All in all, we had a lovely afternoon at Mendicino’s and I would definitely recommend them for a small private party.

Great food, decent service. Love their hot wing pizza. They have nice full meals too. The left side is like a normal pizza place setting, but the right side is beautiful and classy with a nice bar. They also have a nice back room and buffet for events.

In my opinion, Mendicino’s is a five star restraunt, and you should go there if you want the best pizza of your life! You should also try the spaghetti and the mozzarella sticks too!

Traditional Pizza place with a nice bar section. Live music on most weekend nights and sometimes during the week. Family and fun atmosphere with standard italian fare food.

Crazy busy, and looking back, only a shortage of better choices could account for this. Four of us were in for dinner. Calamari was oily and tasteless, although the sauce was ok. The pizza dough was chewy and either undercooked or needs reformulation. Service was spotty — no silverware, and when delivered, tossed in a pile on the table for us to sort out. The bottle of wine was the meal’s highlight. Try the Dutchman instead.

Loved is place! Nice bar area… started with a great bloody Mary. Had the white pizza with broccoli… one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Crust was thin and just enough crisp… except for the edges that were thicker… crisp on outside… chewy on the inside. Bro in law had the tuna melt and said it was delish. Look forward to visiting again when back visiting family.

I give up on pocono area pizza. it was ok. and by ok I mean it was edible. crust didn’t feel hand tossed. cheese was sparse. sauce was decent enough. slices were small.
