The finest! Basically everything on this menu is delicious, made to order, and their salsas are good too! Though Alberto’s is actually closer to my frequent destinations, Pepe’s is seriously worth the drive. I love their nachos and chili cheese fries. This time though, I went for the nacho fries, a unique hybrid of the two, just like the name entails. It was extremely filling and I would recommend sharing with a friend even if you have a big appetite. Their carne asada tacos are also worth trying; they are their best kept secret! Many go for the burritos and and dinner plates but some of the items I listed I just cannot live without!

I have a problem chewing hard tacos and items like that so I have stayed away from these types of places. I love Mexican food as I was raised eating it. One day my dear friend Destiny said I had to try Pepes she has the same problem. I did and was so happy the tacos and taquetos are crunchy but a softer fresher crunch. Well I’m back eating my favorite food again and I have gained a million pounds. Such is life. Thanks PePes for the best Mexican food in and around the COVINA area!!! P. S. Where’s Pepe at anyway. Who is Pepe? Anyone ??? Ok if you see him tell him Bonnie says THANK YOU DUDE!!!

I don’t know about the finest but it sure is good. I have been coming to Pepes since I was a kid. The one on Valley Boulevard in Alhambra. I have tried every location Baldwin Park Downey Temple City. am I missing any?
Anyway the staff is always cool the food is consistently good and it’s cool when you don’t want to eat at a restaurant you can take it to go and it’s delicious…

Large portions. Beans were delicious and the carne asada had good flavor and was pretty tender. The Hubby says the «lengua» tacos are pretty tasty too. I’ll take his word for it. Lol The drive thru line was busy and they do take a while (at least the night I was there). But the service was friendly and the food was tasty.

Have only been here once and tried a burrito with carnitas. It wasn’t that bad, but the meat was too dry. It also tasted a little burnt and crispy. So I asked for a bean and cheese which was cheaper than the burrito I got. They did not give me any type of refund for the extra money I paid for the burrito I did not like. Service wasn’t that great either. I could not get anyone’s attention for about ten minutes. May try it again, but in no hurry.

Ate here for my bday breakfast yesterday and the service was great and the food was just as good. We ate the breakfast platter, chilaquieles, and a carnitas burrito. The place was cool but the food and service was well worth it and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back when I’m in town !!! Hella bomb

How does this place not have 5 stars on Unilocal?It’s really good. The ingredients are of high quality. The gacomole is made of real avacados. The proportions are huge. It’s a lot like albertos in Covina but probably better only because it’s never crowded so u wont have to wait in a huge line. anybody who enjoys eating at albertos will like pepe’s.

Been going here for years, only bean n cheese burrito my son will eat. But they took away taco Tuesday, that sucks! The kids meals are way too expensive, the burrito is like two bites max… the carne Asada is great, but again, the pricing is not right…

Poor taste on the tacos. I ordered al pastor tacos and honestly only ate one. I’m giving it one star because my coke with ice hit the spot and I enjoyed it; I was freaking thirsty… If you want Mexican food this is NOT the place …

Love this place! They have the best hard tacos, they like to fill them with meat. The chile cheese fries are something amazing! Crinkle French Fries topped with with cheese topped with that mouthwatering green chile sauce that they are know for. Truly a must!

When it comes to Mexican food they have the best flavorful beans! I love their Taquitos and their Carne Asada! Honestly, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like there. The restaurant is clean and smells of deliciousness permeates your senses as you walk in. It’s not a fast food restaurant where your food is kept under heat lamps so it may take a few minutes to get your food. (It’s not McDonalds!!!) That’s OK with me to get good quality. I see some of the reviews and I’m confused why some are less than 4 or 5 stars. Maybe it was an off day? Or a fluke situation. Honestly, we are all human and mistakes can happen with any business.
I would definitely go back. I live in Oklahoma now and there’s is nothing that compares to the yummy goodness of Pepe’s. I recommend Pepe’s to anyone that I know who will be traveling in that area or lives in that area. Thanks Pepe’s and keep up the good work!

I thought I was going to get a small burrito and ok tacos but DAMN!!! The burrito is as big as the to go box haha

Ugh. They told me they were under new management. So I tried it again today and specifically asked the guy to make the bean burrito like all the other Pepe’s. They said OK. Well upon arriving home we got our paper thin bean and cheese burrito tortilla very obvious tasting due to lack of beans. Not too mention the cheese. Anyhow I will get a refund and my replacement and NEVER ever give this place my business again. If I really want Pepe’s I’ll have to drive to Alhambra

As Much as I tried to like this place the sad fact is that it’s just subpar. My wife and I visited the place after the remodel. It’s very hot in there and the a/​c wasn’t very good. Upon entering I could hear the cooks using foul language and talking to the cashier, insulting each other. They got our order wrong and the 2 customers before us.
We ordered a side of guac which came out looking brown and had a fizzy taste to it. The cashier even apologized and gave us a refund. We order 4 carne asada tacos. And 2 fish tacos. Yuck!!!
Everything about this place smells like nobody cares. I’ll never return Pepe’s Finest…

They have the BEST hard shell tacos, my favorite is the shredded beef.
Their chilli fries come with green chilli and meat, they are delicious!
Expect a long wait in the drive thru because the food is all fresh.
My only complaint would be the price. They are a little expensive for fast food, but the quality is worth it.

I always order my food at the pepe’s in Baldwin park and never had any issues but today for lunch me and some buddies order food at the pepe’s in Covina. I order the pepe’s fries here and I got back to work to eat my lunch I noticed there was no meat and my buddy order tacos and got three pieces of meat. Waste of money and will never go back… BALDWIN PARK PEPE’S is slapping the hell out of you guys
