El Pollo Loco

My second job was at an el pollo loco restaurant when I was in high school. Our location was always friendly and clean. Since those days to now I have visited many different pollo loco locations the service is less than desirable the places are dirty, so I was truly amazed to stop a this location on my way back from Laughlin to eat and find such a clean and friendly environment it definitely took me back to my days working at pollo loco.

Staff is very kind. This location gets busy so expect a line at prime times. The prices have gone up and the portions seem to be getting smaller, as if measured exactly from a scoop. Clean place. Food comes as expected.

Best El Polle, good management team, don’t go to the one on Vincent, worst El Polle, poor management, rude.

It’s that hard to to order a shrimp tostada here.
Came out half chicken and half shrimp. I mentioned to the server and the server said just throw away the chicken then.
How bout the shrimp? Came next question so do you want more shrimp then?

Love this location. So clean inside, and it has improved so much. I’ve been coming here for over 30 years and it still taste just as good. They got the best chicken ever.

Customer service here is pretty gd ! But a far as quality an taste by far one of the worst tasting El Pollo Loco. Go to another location if ur feining for sum of their grilled chicken.

They’ve messed up my order multiple times in multiple ways. The food tastes okay. However, when I enter I am immediately felt unwelcome. They all stare and put no effort to smile or say hello, as the woman working the counter took her sweet time finally coming over and asking us «what do you want?»
What I don’t understand is how they treat the customer as though we are a nuisance, when in reality customers are what keep a business, in business!
The managers obviously are not taking their staff there seriously, because this is a never fail stop for bad service, even while management is on duty. It’s a shame.

This used to be one of my best places to go but not anymore. The last time I went, and the last, the girl didn’t take my order right. Then, they got these pick up transponders, which are a nuisance and a way for possible bacteria to find it’s way around. They’re useless. I’ve seen them go back to calling out the order numbers when it gets busy. I felt some stomach discomfort all night after eating there. I’m writing this at 4AM.

One of the cleanest EPL ‘s I’ve ever been to and friendliest too. The only thing I didn’t like is they do not have a drive thru. There’s a couple EPL’s around here but this will be my go to even though I must get off and order. Cleanliness is better than a drive thru

tonight I only ordered a large tortilla soup to go and it took about 20 minutes. I couldn’t figure out why it was taking so long. luckily, the real nice server rosa (she had really bright red hair) was apologetic and sincerely kept checking to see if we needed anything including a mint! I would have complained but I could tell she was really sorry. so thank you Juan polo for hiring good people like her

Great service.
I ordered, they gave me a number and serve to me at my table like full service restaurant. During the meal, someone comes with tray to serve me candy and wet nap.

I love El Pollo Loco. This location had great service, I was greeted with a smile from two ladies working the cash register and was asked how my day was going. Service was prompt and I received my to go Caesar bowl before I could even finish getting my salsas from the salsa bar. The dining area looked very clean. I will definitely be returning to this location for future lunch breaks!

Went to this location today. I had to wait 20 minutes for my food. They first said my order was ready and then told me they made a mistake. 15 minutes later they realize they forgot my order and just pushed my order in two minutes.
And what was I offered for the long wait? Tortillas. That they also again forgot to give me. Would not come here again

Manager at this location was extremely rude and can’t seem to handle her position. Theirs another location down the street that has way better service and quality.

I’ve like this Pollo loco since I’ve move to covina but once I saw a employee spit on my chicken I was disgusted… Thank God they fired they’re employee

Friendliest pollo loco i know!!! Such nice staff. I have never had any issues while ordering from this location. Parking sucks sometimes but nothing that crazy.

Yesterday I ordered a Mexican chicken salad which was nothing like advertised on TV I did not get breast that was sliced I got very small pieces of chopped chicken false advertising?

I have never been to an El Pollo like this. Staff was friendly and energetic. Food was hot and delivered to the tables which all had vases filled with flowers on them. As I walked out, an employee told me to have a wonderful day. Facility was large and clean.
It was a breath of fresh air to be treated so well in a fast food establishment. Props to management.

Honestly, not to be biased or anything, I think those who gave this establishment a 1 are some sort of self-​perceived elites. If you read their reviews, such arrogance.
Anyways, onwards to the service. I came here when it was pretty busy but the cashiers were quick to take the customer’s order. I asked what specials they had and the cashier told me about the options, to which I chose the one that fit my interest most. The food was also given out pretty quickly. I was still filling out my salsa cups when it was ready.
As for the food– the house salsa’s are always really good, the spicy salsa as well, and the cilantro and onions are fresh (not like other establishments that use the same ones for days). The chicken, is a very delicious and juicy that you will become in love with. Cole’slaw is also pretty good along with the rice. And the churros are pretty good.
It’s also kinda cute, how before you leave there’s a bell you can ring if your’e satisfied.
I’d honestly suggest trying out the chicken and rating them on their chicken and cole-​slaw. Not sure about the other options but I’d imagine it’d be okay.
Also I only get the Combo Meals of legs and thighs
