Great lunch buffet and the food quality is legit, the handmade tortillas set it over the top.

This place is great. i had their lunch buffet. they had plenty for me to choose from. i don’t eat meat but i do eat seafood so it was great to be able to have options in a Mexican restaurant that has seafood for their buffet. Through my experience seafood is’t regularly offered in this variety at lunch buffets’. Very clean place, friendly staff, and the waitress was attentive to us. They have hand made tortillas that were delicious! The Price? $ 8.99! yes! very reasonable pricing.

Had lunch here with my wife and little one. First time here and we decided to go for the lunch buffet. The price was reasonable at $ 9/person. We checked out the lunch selection and they have all the basics plus seafood! Shrimp, fish and 3 types of ceviches! Food was excellent. Fresh, authentic and not greasy! Service was excellent as well. We had a wonderful experience and definitely will be back!!!

Any place that offers all you can eat ceviche(fish or shrimp, your choice!) is a winner in my book. Any place that offers so soft it’s not even funny, tender pork is a champion. The selection is small, but the intent is careful and concise. A small selection means a greater attention to detail and that’s what the food here offers. Quality over quantity.

–Came on a Saturday evening and it was fairly empty and we got seated quickly. –waitresses were not to enthusiastic about the food or recommending anything –no liquor license yet but the waitress mentioned they would have it by May 2016. –free chips and homed salsa(they can make it spicier if you request it) –the food was good and tasted authentic. we ordered the pollo and carne plate, fish tacos combo, pole enchiladas, and sope platter. food was not disappointing. I did not try any of the seafood so I do not know how that tastes. — place was very relaxed but to me it felt kinda dead and not enough energy from the staff or a sense of excitement from the new business especially on a saturday. would I come here again? If you want to eat some Mexican food this is a great little place. The seafood looks pretty good from what I saw others order but I do not know how it tastes. This is a relaxed place and a good place for dinner. Good little place but I would not return as my first choice. I just felt like although everything was great, the staff was not very involved.

First time here. Ordered the Molcajete. Was good. We don’t prefer the cheese sauce. We weren’t provided with a knife or plates. Took awhile to get a water refill and our check. We’ll be back another time and try something else.

Nice place however service was not great. Not certain if it was the owner or manager but he seemed more interested in the soccer match than trying to be cordial. Mind you that we were the only ones there. The food was okay. Nothing over the top. I love Mexican food however if this place has been open since November its lacking customer service and charm. Nothing worth coming back for. :/

The Buffet is a great deal, 8.99 They don’t have their Liquor License yet, so no beer. The service is great until they get busy, then you realize that they are under staffed. I also ordered of the menu and it had great flavor, it’s a good spot if you live in they area and you want to travel far.

My wife had the all you can eat lunch which was only $ 8.99 and I had a tilapia mojarra lunch which was $ 7.99. I asked for extra garlic on my mojarra. My fish was very tasty, it came with beans, white rice and a side salad. I would definitely go back to have another mojarra. I tried some of my wife’s food. The soup was very good and there was a good selection at the buffet. Service was also very attentive. We were there about 1:30pm so it was not very crowded. My wife and I will probably go back to try other dishes. I would recommend to try at least once to see for yourself.

second time coming here and while it may not be the absolute best spot ever, it certainly does the trick! their lunch buffet is on the spot! cant beat the price and pretty tasty too! i hope they make it and stick around for awhile. All they need is a liquor license and maybe a Sunday mariachi mimosa brunch!!! lol

Unilocaled for Mexican food & found this great little place up the street. Food is delicious & the staff is friendly. They have daily buffets with some great tasting Mexican favorites. I highly recommend it.

Came here on a late Thursday evening. The place was empty and we immediately got seated. The service was excellent. The person that seated us was very nice. My family in I ordered different plates and all of them were delicious. I ordered a white fish fillet and it was perfectly cooked. The salad on the side was fresh and the rice and beans were perfect. The Carne asada plate was also great. The meat was tender and juicy. The shrimp cocktail was one of the best I’ve tasted and it was de veined! !!! The breaded shrimp was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place. Perfect for kids and families.

Came here on a Thursday night 5 minutes before closing. They were already cleaning up and my dad and I asked if they were still open. Despite them being almost all cleaned up with chairs on top of tables, they still sat us and served us with a great attitude. My dad and I were the only customers there and they served us like they were still open. Customer service was absolutely impeccable and the food was made with love. These people definitely know how to run this place right. Ps. Sorry we were those customers who came in right before closing. But thank you for not treating us as such.

FOOD — Complimentary Chips & Salsa: freshly made chips and the salsa had a nice kick. 5⁄5 — Fajita Fries: fries topped with chicken fajitas, refried beans, onions, bell peppers, cheese, sour cream, and slices of avocado. This was a huge appetizer! It’s filling enough to be an entrée. It was good until a lot of the fries got soggy towards the end. 3.5÷5 — Taco Pescado: one battered fish in a corn tortilla, topped with cabbage, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and a creamy sauce. This was okay. The fish could have had more flavor and the batter wasn’t crunchy. 3⁄5 — Taco Gobernador: grilled shrimp taco and cheese with a side salad. The taco had a lot of shrimp that was flavorful. 4⁄5 SERVICE We were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was friendly and talkative. He checked on us several times throughout our meal. 5⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS I would come back. They have a lot of other items on the menu I would like to try.

So I actually went here on Sunday and forgot to post but I loved it!!! The food was largely portioned and it was AUTHENTIC which is something I’m super picky about. The service was great everyone was friendly. And it wasn’t over priced which is always a plus. For a appetizer we spilt a tostada de ceviche de pescado and it was amazing I hadn’t had one that good in a while also it was a lot of food. As for my entrée I had shrimp enchiladas that were full with lots of shrimp which is always great! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some authentic Mexican food in town

2 for $ 20 Great deal for great food! Their regular menu seems a but pricey but their specials are really worth it. We ordered the 3 Amigos and the cheese enchilada plate. The beans were very flavorful and my husband couldn’t decide which one of the Amigos he liked the best(beef taco, cheese enchilada, or the chili relleno)-he loved them all. The dollar cevichi tostada was a great way to start our meal.

You can always count on this place to be open, whether it’s a Monday when typically all the eateries in Downtown Covina(Citrus Ave) are closed or like today on New Year’s Day, it’s open. Only 3 booths were occupied at dinner time. I initially ordered beef enchilada combo, but somehow I was disappointed with the way it all tasted. The red sauce was too acidic for me; shredded beef was blah; and just everything on my plate tasted like the same spice was used. Nothing distinguished one dish from the other is the best I can explain it. So I returned it and asked for albondigas instead. By the time I got my bowl, I really already lost my appetite. The soup was good but I wasn’t in the mood to chow down anymore. :-( The waitress was very apologetic and so with the manager. My husband got a huge chicken burrito and asked for the red sauce on the side. They usually have green sauce, that’s why. With 2 diet cokes and the dishes, total cost was $ 28; a bit pricey for something that didn’t taste fancy. Que paso El Camichin?

I was looking for somewhere new to eat, as I was getting a bit burned out on the other local restaurants. I remembered this place had appeared open about a month ago so we stopped by. We came on a Saturday at about 5 pm, and we were the only ones in the place. The manager and staff were outside trying to engage people walking by. Unfortunately, it’s on the stretch of Citrus that isn’t as busy. Staff was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Their seafood was pretty good, the other stuff okay. Tried a cheese enchilada, it was okay. Their beans were okay. The rice okay. The shrimp tacos(grilled and battered) were pretty dang good. Their fish taco(battered) was pretty good, it just had a bit too much cabbage/sauce for my taste. The tacos gobernardor(basically a shrimp quesadilla) was delicious. It was packed full of shrimp. I’d definitely come back for some more seafood. They have specials on Tuesday(for the ceviche I think). I really hope this place becomes a bit more popular because I’d really like to see it stick around.

More a 2.5 than a 3 really. Felt kinda misled by all the other reviews(it always seems suspect when a new place has all 5s and many of the reviewers have never really reviewed much else). It was very run of the mill, and kinda slow service. The table next to us was friends with the owner, and so we kinda got ignored and served after them. Tried fish taco, shrimp taco(mostly breading), chili relleno, cheese enchilada(mehhh), a crispy chicken taco(was supposed to be beef), and an oyster shooter(okay, but not great). The crispy chicken taco was the only thing I really liked. Probably won’t be back, since nothing stood out much.

Absolutely love this place! My family and I visited this place on opening day and loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It’s not a big place, so it feels a lot more intimate than most Mexican restaurants. The service is absolutely outstanding as well. Besides the waiters coming to check up on you, you also get the manager coming by to see if everything is up to par. Don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations, either! Now on to the food. They offer a variety of seafood plates, but if you’re allergic or it is just not up your alley, you will find that they also have several other plates with chicken, beef, pork, etc. If you want a quick bite, they offer a lunch buffet, too! They also have a bar off to the side if you’re looking for a quick drink. I ended up ordering the Monterrey Chicken and man, that was definitely a plate! My mom ordered the tacos gobernador and her boyfriend ordered the Coctele Campechana and the Oyster Shots. We were super full after our meal, so we didn’t have the chance to grab dessert, but we’ll definitely be back.
