Doc’s Vacuum-Sewing Center

I went to Docs Vacuum a few days ago, motor didnt sound right on vacuum. they charge 35.00 for service charge which is fair, but includes if any work needs to be done, 35.00 goes towards any labor or part, What honest old fashion people i highly recommend doc vacuum, and i will go thre again for sure, he cleaned the motor, and told me since no replacement of parts, no extra charge for just cleaning the motor. I never write on thiese yep features, i know its handy, but this time i had no choice but to give these people just dues… Thank you Docs for your honesty and business I will go back again hope this helps others. too

I think my Mom, rip, used to come here for her sewing needs. This is only 5 min away from my house. So glad they have the Oreck vacuum bags i need, amongst so many future items I’ll come back to buy later, and rent a carpet express cleaner for 6 hrs 17.99 or 24 hrs for 24.99. Thanks Doc for having what i need! See ya next time and I’ll refer others!

Took my sewing machine in when it froze, with the hand wheel hard to turn. Martin said this bushing and that bushing need to be opened to be cleaned then oiled, since oil cannot be put over oil! All for $ 195.
Decided to get a second opinion from another shop, who checked the needle plate, bobbin and hook case for lint, then oiled the moving parts, for just $ 59! machine now works like new, bushings apparently supposed to be self lubricating! Almost got swindled.

Just picked up my sewing machine at Doc’s in Covina and NOW it works great!
I first took it to Foothill Vacuum in Glendora. They had it for a week and a half and couldn’t fix it. He was rude when I called about it (probably because he was embarrassed he had to admit he couldn’t fix my machine) and my sewing machine was all dirty!
Only go to Doc’s if you want things right and fast. Martin is great and knows what he is doing. PS This is the first time I have ever written a review. That’s how happy I was with the service at Doc’s.

This is the only place I trust to take my Viking sewing machine! Martin is certified, pleasant and knowledgeable. He is also fast! I always have my machine back in just a couple of days. I just got my machine back from him after I got almost a whole bobbin of thread wound up in the inside of the machine (don’t ask how I did that!), and he was able to save my machine! He did it in only 2 days. I totally recommend this Doc’s Center! Oh, and his prices are very reasonable. :)

I took my sewing machine in for a repair while I was in town on vacation and was very pleased at how fast it was fixed. The price was also very reasonable. The store has apparently been around since 1974, so this is definitely a landmark in Covina. Pretty cool considering all of the huge chains coming up in this small city.

Hey hoser (I couldn’t resist…)
After putting our xmas tree out on the curb for pickup, I got the vacuum hose of our Kenmore canister clogged with pine needles and branches. I was pretty hosed as far as getting the clog out myself because:
a) the clog was beyond the reach of a simple plastic barbed Zippit from either end;
b) I was afraid of using a metal snake bit because there are electrical wires embedded within the length of the vinyl hose;
I found this place after a brief search on Unilocal for something local. It took the guy all of 10 minutes to take the hose in back and clear the obstruction. I gave him $ 10, he didn’t give me a receipt and I didn’t ask for one…
Kudos for these guys for being able to help me on the spot whereas the local Sears service center would have been useless to help me in a timely fashion in this case…
There is plenty of parking in front on the street…
