Filippou’s Twisted Pizza

My wife and I went here for dinner and waited over an hour for a pizza and a salad. Service was terrible. We decided to give it another try after a few months and took my kids and grandkids. Again, we waited over an hour and no food was served. We were told by the manager that they process one ticket at a time. This means that we need to wait until other orders are completed before we can even get our appetizers. We will never go there again!!! Will never recommend this place to anyone (maybe to my worst enemy). This place is horrible for service.

If I could give less than one star I would. We had given this place plenty of chances to redeem themselves, but every time left disappointed. Each time we ordered they got our orders wrong or completely lost them. We will not be going back here ever again.

I ordered 2 pizzas a sandwich and appetizer for my family’s dinner. Oh yea and a bottle of soda. First I found the bill to be kinda of high but that’s not the kicker. I ordered extra cheese on my kids small pizzas and extra meat on my husband’s large pizza. My husband’s pizza was burnt and dry with extra burnt cheese and nearly no meat… that I was charged extra for and he had the extra cheese. My kids pizza had little cheese and pepperoni like crazy… they had them mixed up. They had also forgot my soda when they delivered. I managed to track down the driver before he left to tell him about the soda, he apologized and said he would back. After my husband saw his pizzas he asked me to call and get a new pizzas. I called and was told they made it the way it said to. I hung up and told my husband to call because I was told it was done right but I was starting at 2 pizzas made wrong. It took some arguing to convince it wasn’t right before they would make a new one for my husband. The kids were fine with theirs so big deal there. Was never offered a coupon or money back for their obvious mistake… The food there is good but service needs lots of work. That was the first and last time I ate there. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price and aggravation.

Good special beer selection… the inside of the restaurant is really nice. Crazy for a pizza spot! Pizza was slammin too. I got the chicken pesto and added bacon, so good!

Not impressed what so ever! Small cheese pizza n soda took an hour to get here and it was cold!!! Not to mention the delivery boy had the nerve to ask me if i was all set w my change from a 20 $ bill for a 12 $ order that took an hour to get here n was cold. And not appetizing!!! I will NOT be ordering from TWISTED in coventry anymore thanks for wasting my time n $$$!!!

I’ve tried takeout and dine-​in. Everyone is very friendly but the waitstaff is a little slow, probably because they’re understaffed. No problems either time. Food was good and prices were reasonable. Worth a try if you haven’t stopped by yet.

Great pizza! Horrible website. In this day how can a restaurant’s website be down more than half the time! Get with the times folks.

Good cheap food in a decent atmosphere. Thank you Unilocal for guiding me to this place. All was great except the AC was cranking way too high. People were all complaining of the temperature. Other than that, I am a fan.

A welcome addition to Coventry! The menu here is so varied it should be easy to find something regardless of your mood! Been here twice for eat in now and my only complaint might be that they seem to be a little slower than expected; although both times have been during Friday dinners so it’s probably reasonable.
The pizza choices are endless, and their sandwiches are very reasonably priced for the size. I’m eager to try their calzones. This restaurant now joins the very short list of Coventry restaurants that I look forward to returning to.

Many people has recommended I try this location and I figured I mine as well because they had opened up so close to my house, it was nothing but convenient. I have visited here twice, both times we had ordered take out. The first time we ordered a large pizza with extra cheese. Simple enough, or so I thought. After it was delivered, we had realized it was severely burnt and had come with extra sauce and half the amount of cheese. If we had not been in a rush, we would have certainly stopped back in. I continued to hear great things about this place from friends and coworkers. So I figured I would give it another shot. I mean everyone has a bad day right? This time we had ordered a small calzone and a small pizza. We had picked it up and everything seemed correct. I split the calzone and although tasty, still didn’t seem to match up to the reviews I had previously heard. I am still apprehensive to try them again. I think I will stick to my usual pizza joints.

I don’t often write reviews but I have to help bump up this average. My wife and I are new to the area and have been looking for a good pizza place. We have spent the last 10 months trying the different stuff in the area and with Twisted opened we don’t go anywhere else. We finally found our new pizza place.
The pizza is fantastic! Lots of different options. Just had the shrimp scampi pizza last night. Awesome. The wings are also the best I’ve had in the area. Fantastic! I don’t know what the other reviewers are talking about.
So far we have just gotten a lot of varieties of pizza and wings but will have to try some more items from the menu.

The pizza was edible but boring. It wasn’t bad it was just ok, nothing to write home about. It didn’t taste bad but I don’t feel the need to come back and eat it again.
However the wings are great.
The service was very friendly.
I’m giving the two stars because it took almost an hour to get our food and that’s ridiculous for a pizza and some wings.
This building is nice. It’s been a different restaurant three times in the past 5 years so I’m looking forward to trying a few more items here before they close. The fries on other tables looked good as did the burgers so we will come back to try another item.
I’m going to give this a second chance, they are still new and maybe just an off night… It was a Monday though…

«inconsistent» is the best word I could use to describe Twisted in Coventry. We’ve ordered takeout and deliver many times and it’s a bit of a roulette wheel as to what you will get when you order.
We’ve sometimes gotten some of the best pizzas in the area. Delicious medium thick crust, really great sauce, high quality ingredients, cooked perfectly, great toppings, a joy to eat. Those are the times that have kept us coming back after the «other» times, which seem to be 50−60% of the time.
The other times, orders are made wrong (despite always ordering online… so there should be a record of what I asked for), incomplete, or just not nearly as good as the times when the food was «on point.»
Online ordering is terrific here. There is a big menu and a ton of customization options for nearly everything. Again, the problem is, will they get it right? Flip a coin.
Beyond pizzas, the salads are great, lots of options and nice portions. The sandwiches (chicken parm and meatball) that we’ve had were very average at best. My son likes the chicken tenders and the fries are the best available around here.
As a result of the inconsistent food and order fulfillment, we’ve stopped ordering from Twisted for a while. If you don’t know what you are going to get, it’s hard not to go with something else that you know that might not always be better than when they are at their best, but much better than when they are at their worst.
Spin the wheel and see for yourself. It might be great. It might disappoint. If you’re a gambler, you may hit the jackpot.

I have been a BIG fan of Filippou’s Twisted Pizza on Main Street in East Greenwich for many years. It’s a warm atmosphere with a friendly staff and great food! I either dine-​in or carry-​out, or have them deliver. I was sad when I moved to West Warwick, because it was too far away. But now, a brand NEW Filippou’s Twisted Pizza has just opened on Tiogue Avenue in Coventry! LOVE their pizza and wings, but other dishes like the marinated Greek Chicken and Salad, and the Eggplant Fries are wonderful! Gyro Sandwiches, too! I just love this little restaurant group… I think they have four or five now! Just the best!!! The owners, Steve and Joanne Filippou are good people! Cheers!!!
