We lucked out and caught the farm at a time when much of their crop was in a nice purple bloom. Not sure if it would have been worth the trip otherwise. The farm is smaller than expected with one large and a couple of smaller planted areas with different varieties of lavender. These are not vast fields of purple. Gift shop is small but has about everything lavender you might want. Try to go on a sunny day and check the website to see how purple the plants will be that time of year.

It’s the most peaceful place we’ve been in a long time. It beats the sunset picnic at Poo Poo Point. Yes, they do have a cutesy shop with lavender fire sticks, decorative arrangements, platters, sachets, jams, books, bags, shortbread cookies and at least six different kinds of lavender ice cream(one being lavender chocolate chardonnay!). To be truthful the biggest buzz you’ll find is from the bees. We walked around for about an hour reading about the types of lavender, comparing color and size, taking in the doge, pasture, waterfront, mountains and garden. With the clear skies, vibrant and lulling colors, it turned into a great place for an impromptu photo opt.

I’m so glad I drove out to see the farm — you can buy the full selection of Lavender Winds products at their shop in Coupeville, but it’s so beautiful out here it’s worth the trip. And? THEYHAVE A LAVENDERLABYRINTHTOWALK. My favorite stop was inside the drying shed, huffing the scent of all the bunches of drying lavender. Olfactory bliss! I kept my distance from the fields due to the many bees doing their business, but I did walk the labyrinth and spend a little time discussing various lavender plants(and now I know my plants at home need to be replaced), and purchased a few items from the gift shop. A charming, gorgeous, sweet-scented outing.

Every time I walk into the store in Coupeville, I suddenly feel calm. The lavender shortbread is my favorite. They are so creative with their merchandise. I also highly recommend their lavender teas. Friendly staff and great shop.

I saw a sign that said Lavender Wind Farm and I guess I skipped over the lavender part. I know you ask, why would anyone get excited about a wind farm. I love renewable energy and kind of lose my breath when I see those massive wind turbines turning in the sky. Note: This is not an actual wind farm. But don’t be disappointed, this is a very nice place to stop and see the lavender fields. I can only imagine how it smells in the spring. And so close to the water… dreamy! Maybe the name of this place means the wind of the lavender that blows. I wish I found a wind farm that close to the water though. That would have been sweet.

This small, woman-owned, local business is a great place to visit to see lavender growing and to shop for great lavender products. It’s where I buy lavender for cooking, lavender-flavored goat cheese, lavender ice cream and other treats. Great fun to watch the lavender still in operation.

Driving back from Oak Harbor and randomly came across this place. Pretty cool. The smell of lavender is so intense when even stepping out of your car. Pretty awesome. You’re free to walk the grounds and explore. Not sure huge but quaint. We also bought some lavender ice cream. I recommend the one with the …“C” spice… I forgot the name of it. She’ll probably hunt me down for saying this, but the owner is also really nice in a mean kind of way. That’s a tourist attraction in and of itself.

When planning our days around Washington, the Lavender Wind Farm was on my definite to-do list and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s easy to find, with signs directing you from the highway. Once we arrived we walked around a small garden and into the shop. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It smells fantastic in the shop. We tried the lavender ice cream — loved it. I got some lavender rosemary oil — its really nice too. They have a nice variety of lavender products, from baking mixes, honey, essential oils, sachets, ice cream, and bunches of cut lavender. As I was checking out the owner made sure we had a map of the farm and sent us down to the large lavender fields we hadn’t seen from where we parked. Took a little stroll and took in all the wonderful lavender scents. Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing place. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

My friends and I decided to take a random trip to the island. One of the things on our list was the Lavender Farm. Its small and quaint. Definitely had lots of purple! With an assorted amount of other flowers as well. It also had a cute pagoda for you to hang out in too. The gift shop was cute with all sorts of lavender items that had a nice aroma of lavender when you walked in. Nice quiet place to stroll around. Although it wasn’t as big as I expected it would be like Skagit Valley, but its not that bad.

The wife and I are celebrating our anniversary out here on the Island and was told to do the complimentary trip up to Deception Pass. But on the way we thought a little side trip to the Lavender farm would be in order. We arrived 10 minutes before the gift shop closed but you would not have known it. The owner was gracious and encouraging us to walk around the farm. They have a wonderful Hopi inspired Labyrinth to walk which was quite meditative after a long drive in the car. The bees were going nuts on the rows of Lavender and had no clue to our presence. The oils, soaps, lotions and ice creams were great gifts we will share with our family, except the Ice Cream wasn’t shared. Great place and ownership a must when you visit the island.

My Mom and I stopped by here when we went up to Whidbey Island in May. It was great! It wasn’t hard to find. The lavender field was beautiful. There were lavender Adirondack chairs outside and the farm’s garden was nicely decorated. We went inside a small shop, which held many homemade products. There were samples we could try and the owner of the farm helped us and she was very friendly and helpful. We bought 3 baking mixes: Lemon Lavender Scones, Lavender Shortbread, and Lemon Lavender Poppy seed muffins. All three were delicious. I can’t wait to order more from the website.
