Tasty flavors(and you can have 3 flavors in a small), great waffle cone, and a fair price: $ 8.45 for 3 waffle cones! Also, staff was friendly while still encouraging the line to move along.

What a great place to get ice cream! For $ 3, you get three large scoops of ice cream(which they call a single. All of the flavors(and they have quite a variety) are simple and delicious. They eschew the fancy types of ice cream that are all the rage at popular places in Berkeley, where you might find something called kale swiss chard balsamic ice cream with candied pecan in a maple bourbon kombucha reduction. Yuck. When you have great tasting ice cream, you don’t need to be fancy and Kapaw’s exemplifies that quality. Also, I appreciate that they don’t go over the top with the heavy cream. You won’t feel weighed down after eating this ice cream. Everything about it is just right. All of the people at Kapaw’s were really nice. The other customers were cool too. No sample abusers here. Kapaw’s is the kind of ice cream place that everyone wishes was in their neighborhood.

Delish ice cream on a home made waffle come! There’s even a sorbet for my dairy-averse kiddo. Love this place!

If you’ve ever wondered about the line to get into this place– it’s only because you haven’t been yet! We went on a HOT summer day and the line stretched around the corner. Yet, even in a long line, in the beating sunshine, everyone was in a good mood– because they knew they were going to walk out with Kapaw’s Iskreme! It really is THAT good. I had 3 scoops of different flavors in a big waffle cone for only $ 3. It doesn’t matter if you like plain flavors, candy flavors, or fruity types. They have it all, & it’s all yummy. We’ll be back.

Too 10 flavors of 2014 and we tried 3 of it — white chocolate raspberry truffle, wolf tracks and huckleberry. Delicious rich and perfect for a hot summer. The line was long but it moves fast. Their waffle cone is great, real crunchy. And the best part is its $ 3 for three scoops, price includes the waffle cone and sales tax. Seriously the cheapest ice cream for that size you can find for miles!

Small cute little ice cream shop with lots of flavors to choose from. You can taste flavors before buying. Staff is friendly. Lots of street parking and near by shops to walk around. They also have ice cream treats for dogs available for purchase.

Perfect way to cap off a hot day on the island! After a short wait in line, they loaded us up with 14 scoops and three waffle cones for only $ 13.25! What? Yeah that’s right. Super friendly folks behind the counter and yummy ice cream for cheap!

This is a little place that’s not serving handmade organic ice cream or anything like that – but they’re serving great stuff that’s certainly a cut above the chain ice cream places. They’re in a cheerfully weathered little place right across the street from the water. You walk up a short flight of stairs; if the weather’s nice, most likely, you walk up that short flight of stairs behind a nice long line of ice cream pilgrims. There are about 24 flavors on offer from the cases inside. There’s not much else – a couple types of cones, a couple tiny tables with chairs. It’s all ice cream, all the time. There’s just enough room for the kids to move behind the counter, and for you to get in and out around the line. The ice cream’s good. It’s not the organic stuff some places have, but the prices here are insanely good – $ 3 for 3 decent scoops in a waffle cone. The berry ice cream had plenty of explosive fruit flavor, and the pecan praline was really nice. They have a couple sorbets in the cases as well. Service is cheerful, though the kids seemed nearly exhausted when we got there. They’re friendly and funny, but on busy days you may notice a slight zombified vibe. I’ll definitely be back for the occasional sweet fix.

Great ice cream and cute location. I have a shitzu and he has slipped disk, so I carried him in and got rudely told no dogs and to think of the place like a restaurant. A simple/polite«I m sorry sir no pets are allowed.» Would have worked, but his tone and his example(so I would clearly understand) were a little rude. The ice cream was good though!:) 5 stars for the ice cream and 3 stars if you include the service!:)

Perfect finish to a meal in Coupeville! I got a very generous peanut butter and chocolate scoop on a sugar cone for a mere $ 3. Chocolate was rich but not too sweet. Speedy service.

The best place we visited in Coupeville! A huge waffle cone that comes with three scoops of ice cream all for only $ 3! The ice cream was superb. My favorite was the black cherry. We will definitely come back again and again.

My wife and I visited this little ice cream shop while we were in Coupeville, and we enjoyed it. We got a waffle cone with pistachio, boysenberry, and marionberry. All the flavors were tasty and the ice cream was the right consistency of creaminess. The service was nice, and the prices are very reasonable. The place is a little small, so there isn’t much indoor seating. If it’s not raining, it’s not that big of a deal, but it can be an inconvenience if the weather is not so nice outside. If you’re ever in Coupeville, wanting some ice cream, definitely checkout Kapaw’s.

DONOTMISSTHISICECREAM! A single waffle cone consists of three big scoops(yes, they call that a single) for $ 3. I had white chocolate raspberry truffle, chocolate mousse, and wild blackberry. The previous night at a local restaurant I had their salted caramel and I thought I would pass out. Best best best ever.

Such a wonderful little place in a beautiful community! My sister and I came across this gem, which had a long line out front, that actually moved quite fast. The ice cream was so creamy and delicious, and the price was so great! Three bucks for a single(which has three scoops!) in a waffle cone… totally coming back here as soon as possible! PS The pistachio is heavenly!

Excellent! FOOD: — Espresso shake: 5.0. Outstanding. Lives up to reputation as being the building where Seattle’s Best Coffee was born. — Vanilla malt: 4.0 — Caramel Salt shake: 4.0 SERVICE: 3.5 AMBIANCE: 3.0. Best to expect to carry-out, as there are only 4 chairs and two tables inside. No outdoor seating.

Wow, I can’t say enough great things about Kapaw’s, located on the quaint little main street of Coupeville. We loaded the kids into the ol’ family truckster and headed out on a sunny day to see the sights — including a stop for ice cream here before we headed home to Bellingham. We each got a double scoop cone(for only $ 3!) and the flavor and quality were excellent. My flavors were salted caramel(yum) and strawberry cheesecake(which contained actual, HUGE chunks of cheesecake). The kids tried everything from rainbow sherbert to cookie dough… and judging by how quickly they devoured their cones they were not disappointed. Since it was such a nice day we took our cones to go and walked across the street to the idyllic Coupeville pier, watching the seagulls munch mussels to their hearts content during low tide. As we passed back by Kapaw’s on our way back to the car it was hard not to stop in for another scoop! The service(owner and his son) was super friendly, too. We’ll be back next time the craving for ice cream strikes!
