The owner is not only an ace mechanic but he is also an incredible cyclist and a good human being. Joe is as humble and helpful as they come, even though there are few who can match him on a bike. No attitude. He just wants to help you no matter what level you are at, whether it be professional or just starting. Joe is not just going to try to sell you something. He wants you to be happy and enjoy cycling. He’s going to give you the right advice. He’s in this for the long haul, not a quick buck. I have been going to his computrainer classes for several years now and take my bike into him for all of my repairs. I won’t go anywhere else.

As someone who likes to ask a lot of stupid questions when I feel I really don’t know all I need to know they answered every question with a smile and without making me feel like the newbie I am to road bikes. I rode bikes over 20 years ago and everything has changed, including me. I was looking for a way to get back on the road and they helped me get there and stay there. They carry mostly high end bikes but they also carry some great lower end city bikes that they have in the shop. While they may not carry all sizes they promised they can get it to the shop and up in a few days and they did. The bike we bought for our niece was the perfect gift for a freshman at the U of I. My wife liked the cruiser so much we almost kept it. Great customer service, fair prices and easy to get to. Thanks.

UPB is the best bike shop in the western suburbs and I’ve made the rounds to quite a few of them. Great prices and service. Joe knows what he’s doing, turns service repairs around quickly and only carries brands that take care of their customers as well as he does. Kind of like with my barber, even if I moved to the other side of town, I’d make the drive to UPB regardless. Good stuff.

UPB has a great selection of bikes and accessories. Joe and his staff are excellent mechanics. He fixed a shifting problem with my road bike that two other bike shops tried but couldn’t properly fix. Highly recommended!

I have nothing but good things to say about Joe over at Ultimate Pro bikes. He treated me well and gave me a good deal on a pretty high Felt road bike. I’m the type of person that would rather give my business to someone I like rather than someone just churning you out. That’s the case here. After tiring of not getting the best service in Chicago, I turned my sites to shops a little further out. I came across Ultimate Pro bikes and am glad I ventured out. He doesn’t only carry high end bikes. He has tri bikes and hybrids, etc. If you in the market for a new bike, I’d recommend Joe.

I’ve gone to see Joe about 5 times since swearing off of Dans bike shop. I love this place. I’m a newbie when it comes to cycling, and most people don’t have patience to deal with me. Joe has always been honest, offered me advice, and helped steer me to cheaper items if possible. I’ll never buy from anyone elder

I’ve been going to Ultimate Pro Bikes for over a year now. I bought a bike, a wheelset and countless other bike things from Joe. Joe, the owner, is very knowledgeable about bikes. But he is not pretentious like some bike shop owners. He’ll take as much time as needed to explain things no matter if you’re buying your first bike or are a bike racer. Joe carries a number of essential items and top bike brands. If he doesn’t have what you’re looking for in the shop, he’s able to get what you need usually the next day. Joe is also a great mechanic. Joe has been able to eliminate even the littlest noises from my bike.

I’ve been going to Joe for a few years now and he’s always helped me out, especially when I’m crunched for time. He carries a wide selection of brands that aren’t very easy to locate at a brick and mortar shop.
If you’re interested in computrainer classes he has them as well. Lots of organized group rides on the weekdays and weekends. You’ll find everything you need here and if it’s not at the store, ordering things is never an issue!

I brought my son’s bike in here for repair. Joe was prompt and courteous. He inspected the bike gave me an estimate. The bike was ready when promised and fixed perfectly. My son was so happy! Ultimate Pro Bikes prices were very reasonable and the service was very quick. It’s tucked away in a small strip mall at Joliet and Willow Springs Road so you might not even notice it is there. I highly recommend this shop.
