Setting the scene: Saturday evening, right after 4 pm. Just got done working 8 hours and need a beer. You walk into this place and your greeted by couches, tv’s and plenty of tables. You walk to the bar and The bartender [who has a shaved head and an awesome beard] greats you and serves you exactly what you want. You pay the man with a good tip and go grab a seat on the couch, lucky for you it’s playoff season. They don’t have food so you grab their binder full of delivery places and get at it. Perfect Saturday early evening. Their beer is good [vanilla porter] and have a great selection of other micro beers [stone xocoveta mucho stout]. Cheers!

Always a great place to enjoy a cold one. Tap Hunter is always up to date so I can check to see what is on tap before I get there! Bartenders are very attentive and knowledgeable. Don’t worry… The game is always on.

Ok so I am a self-proclaimed alcoholic and pretty much know my beers. Their slogan, no crap on tap pretty much sums it up. Great beer selection and a knowledgeable staff.

Superior selection of USA craft beers. Intriguing bartender with Aussie accent. Exit 6 beers hit the mark, enjoyed IPA the most. Food delivered from surrounding restaurants.

Brought my man here for his birthday weekend. What a treat! Crazy fun selection of beers in a relaxed, chill environment. I’m not a big beer drinker but I found one that worked perfect for me(try the nitro fruit beer.) Will definitely be back!

I love a great craft beer. Exit 6 has many. Some of them are theirs, but they also carry a nice selection of other people’s beer(including 2nd Shift, which has some amazing hoppy beers). They also have crowlers, which are quart sized growlers in the shape of a can. The main benefit is you can take it home and not drink it for weeks and have it still fizz. You can’t do this with the bottles. The atmosphere is a bit like a frat house, to be honest. Not what I would generally expect from a brew pub, but brew pub is a loose definition, as you cannot get any food here(they do let you bring it in). The brewery is located in a strip mall and feels like a strip mall kind of place. Fortunately, you can take out growlers and crowlers(see above), if you want beer to go. The local crowd is very nice, however, and I had a great time. Also introduced me to 2nd Shift, although I was bummed I could not get a crowler of The Art of Neurosis, as they only crowler their own beer. :-( My advice would be to try their chili beer(the jalapeño is wonderful, the habanero even more so) and sit back and relax.

I was originally looking to check out se7en but they were closed so I ended up at exit 6. I was skeptical at first but Dave made me feel welcome right away. As a bartender I explained my lack of knowledge when it comes to craft beer. I’m very impressed with his knowledge, which he stated was obtained at least over a couple of decades. It’s easy for someone like Dave to be cocky or big headed because he’s perfected his craft, but I never got that vibe. I’m not sure what the exact beer was that he wanted me to try, but it was a vanilla craft. It was exceptional, and easy to enjoy outside on a clean cushioned patio. I was also impressed that he encouraged me to try the Manhattan at rack house, the bar right next to him. I’ll be back soon.

Jeff you are awesome. Came back because of your knowledge. Your staff. Not so much. :(

I dig the place. It was worth the detour on my way back to the ATX. Great in house selection and for a guy from TX a good selection of stuff I can’t normally get. I would hit this place regularly if I could.

Best bar in St. Charles County. Great selection of craft beer and some fantastic beer brewed in house. Bartender is extremely helpful in suggesting new beers. Great place to visit.

Terrible service. The bar tender was very rude. I would not recommend this place at all – which is a shame because they have a great selection of beer.

My favorite bar, period. They always have a great selection and a game on the TV. Workers there are always extremely helpful and super chill. They are very big group friendly also as my meetup group goes there once a month.

Pros — Exit 6 makes very good beer(for example, TBFIE was a standout for its style); plenty of other top-flight craft beers available as well. Cons — Lacks ambiance, with beer-related relics scattered around without any real sense of design; no good music. Summary — great place to sample excellent beer, not so great to visit. Will give it another try, hopefully to meet the brewing staff, and to sample more fine beer.

Me = Craft beer geek– and I’ve been wanting to visit for a quite a while. The other night on a whim DH and I decided to make a trip out. Im going to write this review in a little different style, because really, I’m torn. Pros– UGH-MAZING beer— Peaches and Cream ale– awesome, peach taste wasnt over bearing, and wasnt too sweet. Pineapple Saison– that was okay for me– missing the pineapple flavor and a little carbonated– it was served in a glass that normally signifies high ABV but the ABV was only 5% according to the board– i was hoping for more pineapple and depth, and less carbonation. Ryanes Red– this beer was smooth, a smooth hop flavor was lingering but nothing bitter or overbearing– and i am not a fan of IPA’s bc of the hops, so this was refreshing for me.(it is not an IPA) i really enjoyed it. Now, the reason we came here– VANILLACREAMALE– aka, the ice cream beer. This beer has been noteable at several beer festivals around the area, and deeply loved by even non beer lovers— it does, it truly tastes like ice cream beer. It was just as delish as I remembered… They have a really great beer selection that extends outside of their own. We chose to stick with theirs because thats why we went. Cons – this makes me sad. We came here with the intent of taking a couple growlers home. Apparently, they didnt have any, and had been ordered for a couple weeks. What??? That seems like poor management to me– maybe I am wrong– Growlers are a MUST when the only place your beer is served is at YOUR brewery. Second, the interior— the only thing that turned me off was the gross couches sitting by the fireplace – it looked like 100 frat boys have sat on that couch, and the rug in between them needs to be replaced I dont care if you get new ones off Craigslist– ANYTHING will be better than those! ick! We sat outside— and our server, she was a little eh… not super attentive but didnt neglect us either. Wow– that was longer that most of my food reviews – hahah I say, GO… if you like craft beer there is something for everyone. just dont sit on the couches…

I loved the atmosphere and the attitude. Everyone was real friendly and the beer selection was first class. My favorite though was the in house brewed Vanilla Cream Ale. I was able to bring home a growler to VA and rank it in my all time top 5 beers. Keep it up and see you next year.

This place is a nice sports bar atmosphere in a strip center. A little off the beaten path, but worth visiting. They brew their own, and have a great guest beer selection on their electronic beer boards. They offer small 4 – 6 oz half pints for you to sample a few. I enjoyed a few of their own brews(The«F word» stout is worth a whirl for the newsworthy history of it — search internet for it). There were plenty of open tables to watch the hockey game that night on the big screen. The bartender girl was friendly and efficient.

Horrible. Smelled of stale beer. No music. All men, sitting by themselves. They have several beers but nothing mind blowing. I have been to iTap serval time and it seems like this place was trying to rip it off but failing. On an end note, the glassware was sitting on a towel up side down. If you know anything about health code, that doesn’t cut it. Gross. Never going to spend another dime in this place.

You guys are awesome. I’ll make it a point to visit you more often after the way you dealt with $tar Buck$. They ought to be ashamed of themselves to write that letter to you. I think a six year boycott of Buck$ will help me get better. And an every six day visit to you will help even more. But your selection is indeed select. Very impressive and interesting. If you like light beer in cans this isn’t the place for you; although I recommend you visit to see what an art the craft of making these brews truly is. Well no more overpriced caffeine for me! And as always more greatness from you good folks. Whoever wrote the letter will get a free night of brew on me. Thanks guys.

I’ll admit right away that I’m not much of a beer guy. I stopped in here on a whim, just wanting to check it out and didn’t have much of a plan really. I drank one glass of the pineapple flavored beer the bartender recommended, and then decided to move on and find some dinner. I personally don’t know how to rate this place, I mean, I don’t want to be unfair to the concept, and being a «non» beer guy, it’s hard to be 100% fair. I will say this. The bartender was nice, and helpful in terms of the types of beers they offered and what I should try based on my go to brews. I think if I were rating just on this point and the taste of the beer that was recommended, the rating might be higher. The problem I had with Exit Six is that there wasn’t much of at atmosphere. There were TV’s on the walls, several bar height tables, and even a couch and fireplace area. I noticed the patio wasn’t very busy, but there was one available. Some people at one of the tables had brought board games to play while they drank, which really leads me to believe that this is more just a sit and drink almost in the same capacity that I would sit and drink at home. If I were to make assumptions, I’d say it is a crowd of parents with young children who are out to cut loose just a little bit, but don’t want to do the whole«bar» scene. If I wanted to «cut loose» with some Clue and a few hours of Win, Lose, or Draw, I’m pretty sure my Draftmark system and the coat closet will provide me with just as much atmosphere as this pub did. Does this mean I won’t be back? Hell no. It deserves a fair shake. Next time me and the guys want to go try something new, Exit Six will be on the short list. It just doesn’t make the«get out and cut loose» list.
