A Plus Smog Test Only Services

False advertising on their website claiming they will match or beat any local competitor’s price on smog tests only. I called and they said they will not go lower than $ 45 after telling them Pep Boys price for anyone on Smog Tests is $ 38.24 out the door. I’m calling around every single smog test place and the lowest possible price you can get it $ 45 after telling them Pep Boys price. Lady on phone was rude to me and said sarcastically that sure they’ll fix their website.
So I guess Pep Boys is cheapest around (no STAR testing tho which I don’t need).

I have gone here a couple time in past and employee was nice smog was easy, not the case today. New employee/​owner and rude! So the business opens at 9am. I showed up around 930 and the business roll up door were open and there was no employee inside. The oil guys next door that share the building said they are an independent business and didn’t know where the employee/​owner was. The guy walks up from the coffee shop and doesn’t even take his sunglasses off. He then tells me his debit/​credit machine is broken and to go get cash at a nearby atm. I tell him they will charge me atm fees and he says, «yea probably!» He then tells me $ 88 dollars and I tell him that I saw on their website it said tue&thurs its $ 48 with a certificate. He asked me if i printed it and I told him there was noting to print and showed him on my phone. I then told him I would take my business elsewhere and he shrugged and said «thats fine». I left and strongly recommend not to take your business here as they are very unprofessional and rude to their employees.

Excellent experience. I was apprehensive about being required to use a Star station, and was pleased to find that this shop, where I have had several previous tests done, was Star licensed. I happened to be nearby with the car very warmed up, and was pleased that they could take me right away. Passed test, pleasant interaction with the tester, much relieved.

Good service. Although, the shop seemed a little… gross. The people were friendly and let me leave my truck there for a few hours while I was running errands. A little pricey, but overall, I was satisfied. Be sure to print out the $ 30 off coupon before you go!

This was one of the best experiences I have had getting a vehicle tested. Fast and had a coupon so was good value.
