The Hidden Jewel

The Hidden Jewel has really cute clothes and a fantastic selection of jewelry. It’s not always cheap (though they have some great sales), but when you shop here you’re supporting a local business, buying mostly locally made items, and you definitely get high-​quality merchandise for your money, so to me it’s worth it. The gals that work here are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy in the attached lot. It’s also dog-​friendly, yay!

LOVEloveLOVE the hidden jewel n Tessa is the best! What a great random «find» after eating brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Ladies, u MUST go n go often. a real boutique, so everything goes quickly which means u just gotta go check it out often! I’ve gone now 3x in the last 2 wks! they have impeccable taste cuz I am one particular girl~ ^_~.

Great atmosphere, warm welcome and unique clothing at a variety or price points. One stop shop!

Love these ladies and love this store! Great unique gorgeous and very high end brand name stuff. Lots of names I have never heard of but very cool. The sale prices are amazing. I bought the most beautiful amber jeweled belt… it is almost too pretty to wear but it’s great with jeans.
I had so so much fun. We brought our puppy in (they love dogs) and she romped around playing with the friendly store dog the whole time we shopped. The dogs went nuts running through everything bouncing around. I just know they made a rare exception, so I am sure this is not the norm for shoppers who don’t care for dogs.
We just had a LOT of fun… great sense of humor these girls have!
This is a TRUE boutique… very cozy and beautiful atmosphere.

I went again today to this jewel of a boutique. I actually forgot about this wonderful place until today when I happened to be in the area. The selection is gorgeous, the people who work there are gorgeous and so so so kind! I walked out with so many unique and beautiful pieces I can’t wait to wear. If you love beachy bohemian fashion run here immediately!

Perfect name for a great store. I have seen it so many times as I am exiting another shopping center and keep saying I must stop in there. I love this place!!! It feels so welcoming and so are the ladies that work here. They have so many things I want. I left with several items and can not wait to return. Prices are good, the feel of the store is vintage chic and the selection of clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry are a great mix for everyone. A must see and a new favorite place for me! Can not wait to return…

This place is soooo cute. I wanted to buy eveything in the store. Staff was super friendly and Darlene was so helpful. I felt like I was shopping with my family. Thank you Darlene for my shoes!

For being a guy looking for an anniversary present for his girlfriend this was a great experience. The mother and daughter duo were GREAT!!! They looked passed of me being a guy and helped me out to look for a great gift. They are so nice and helpful. A lot of nice and cute stuff. Take my word for it as a guy and you should check this place out.

I really cannot say how much I love this place, but I’ll try!
First — Tessa and Jessica totally rock. They are super friendly, down to earth, and really know fashion and fit.
Second — the location is perfect. Just off 17^th in Costa Mesa, a little bit hidden and definitely a jewel. Quint, shabby chic interior that feels like home. The home I would LIKE to arrive at after a long day… whitewashed plank walls, gorgeous vintage chandeliers, Dutch door, lots of windows… heaven.
Third — can’t forget to mention Winnie! This sweet little four legged friend insures me uninterrupted shopping when I bring my little guy with me. They are fast friends now!

This place is a JEWEL. It caught my attention although it was a little bit HIDDEN from view. :D If you think it looks nice on the outside, wait until you go in! The place is fancy vintage and adorable. I love how they display all their items. The place is a little bit small, but they have done great with the presentation. I just love how they have different designers and have a variety of things. The only thing is everything is a bit pricey. I really wish that it would be a little bit more affordable. I will definitely recommend but afraid to come back knowing I’d want to buy everything. LOL. Other than that everything was great even the customer service and how they package your items for you.

Of my top five favorite clothing items, Four have come from The Hidden Jewel. Tessa knows how to pick what to put in her shop as well as what looks good on you. The items are not cheap, but well made, and I love the sales. She has some awesome one-​of-​a-​kind jewelry creations as well that really were fabulous. Every time I walk in there, I feel like I am visiting an old girlfriend!

The Hidden Jewel is a fairly new boutique which opened in 2010. I met one of the owners, Tessa when I decided to pop in because I was in the area. She was very friendly and made me feel at home. Tessa told me the store was converted from an old farm house (complete with cute little Dutch doors at the entrance). There are wood floors and whitewashed walls with a chandelier and fancy display tables. The merchandise selection and display is beautiful and classic. They have trendy clothing, jewelry, and accessories, but the atmosphere is a little vintage (which is always a plus in my eyes). There are also fun little gift ideas like fancy papers and jeweled pens along with fragrances and home décor items. All different prices ranges from $ 15 for a cute little zipper wristlet to a few hundred for beautiful bags and dresses. I didn’t buy anything that day I stopped in, but I am planning to return to purchase some perfume soon. Tessa so graciously offered me a sample vial of Shelley Kyle’s Tiramani Eau de parfum.
