The worst Thai Food Ever. Stay away from this unauthentic joint unless you want crap. It tastes like someone imitating or learning about Thai cuisine. Ordered the Pad Thai and Orange Chicken. Both tasted bland and disgusting for $ 21. Pad Thai had no chicken and had nothing but noodles. Also came with soy sauce, which made it better. Bathroom is located in the kitchen so when you walk down the hallway, you’ll see them cutting raw chicken next to the bathroom door.

The worst Thai Food Ever. Stay away from this unauthentic joint unless you want crap. It tastes like someone imitating or trying to learn about Thai cuisine. Ordered the Pad Thai and a friend ordered the Orange Chicken.(Mistakes are made when you offer and order items that aren’t Authentic Thai). Overall, we weren’t impressed. Both tasted bland and disgusting for $ 21. Pad Thai had no chicken and noodles were flavorless. It tasted like red dye and soy sauce. Orange chicken was bland and worse than Panda Express. Bathroom is located in the kitchen so when you walk down the hallway, you’ll see them cutting raw chicken next to the bathroom door.

Welp Unilocalers, this is my new Thai joint to-go or delivery! The Pad Thai is cooked to perfection(perfectly sweet and spicy) and the yellow curry is on point!

1. Food: Thai Chicken Fried Rice: Flavor was not great, I expected better from a fried rice. They provided plentiful portions with great prices, I would order something else. 2. Décor: Quaint and clean inside. 3. Price: Great prices here 4. Service: Nice people here, and they deliver!

Ordered green curry, tom yum soup and spicy bamboo… Worst Thai food ever … Tom yum had uncooked mushrooms and the mushrooms were just a common white mushroom not an oyster mushroom which is what should be in it. I was only able to eat the green curry but stayed up all night with a tummy ache and gas the hubby loved that. Find another place to eat at.

I can see that this restaurant is a total takeout place. The phone kept on ringing, and people were coming in to pick up their orders while my boyfriend and I dined in. There was plenty of parking space in the back of the restaurant, and we were seated right away. However, the service was a bit slow as they were busy taking care of all the takeout orders. I ordered spicy eggplant with a mix of veggies and tofu(and white rice); my boyfriend got ginger beef with brown rice($ 1 extra) along with a bottle of Singha. I LOVE eggplants, so I did enjoy their eggplant dish. It had lots of bell peppers, deep-fried tofu chunks, but not too many eggplant chunks! It should have been called vegetable stir-fry instead of spicy eggplant.(I did eat them all though…) My boyfriend seemed to enjoy his dish. I liked the ginger flavour in the sauce. We also ordered mango and sticky rice for dessert. The portion was quite generous, and we both enjoyed it. Although the quality of food/service did not quite knock my socks off, I did enjoy my dinner. I’ll probably order takeout from this place in the future.

Thai food is one of those things for me that I can eat anytime even when I’m not really in the mood for anything. It’s kind of my go to default food when I don’t know what to eat. That’s kind of how we found ourselves at Thai 1 Kitchen because we were in the area and didn’t know what to eat. The restaurant is very small and initially we weren’t going to go in but we couldn’t think of anywhere else to go. The service is very friendly though which is a plus! We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, Pad See Ew, and Panang Curry. While the dishes do come with rice, I highly recommend ordering more rice because the portions are very small. Tom Yum is one of my favorite soups at Thai restaurants and this one fell short for me. It wasn’t sour enough for me and lacking depth. But they were generous with the vegetables and chicken. The Pad See Ew also came with a generous amount of chicken but not enough noodles. They are pretty stingy with their noodles here and really could have used more. The Panang Curry was the only one that was a decent size and it was pretty good! Could have been more spicy but no complaints here. I don’t really have much to say about this restaurant. It’s one of those places you kind of forget about because there isn’t anything that stands out. If I lived in the area I might get take out from this place but there isn’t anything that separates this Thai restaurant from any other average Thai place. 3⁄5

Got takeout from here. The honey pork(on a stick) was really yummy. The pad see ew was pretty good too. There wasn’t enough meat in it though. Loved that they deliver thai tea! Sticky rice with mango is yummy. First time I’ve tried it. Delivery was a little long. The guy told my roommate that it was a lot of food for her haha. I was in the other room and she was embarrassed. Good takeout though, if you’ve got the time.

Small little restaurant. This is my first time here and it was pretty empty, and we were seated quickly and they took our order right away. They were super friendly with us and the food didn’t take long to come out after ordering either. The Thai tea was amazing also, so huge! So worth it. Overall the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere was great to me and I definitely would be coming back

Finally a Thai restaurant in Newport Beach that is worthy of its roots! This food is amazing! Best lunch special around! Everything is fresh and made the way you want it. Try the mussels for an appetizer! Killer! It’s my first time but it won’t be the last. The staff couldn’t be nicer! Khrop khun khrop!

On a lazy Sunday, ordering delivery sounded like a good idea, so we got food from here. Eat24 on Unilocal makes it incredibly easy to place an order and they usually offer a $ 2 off coupon on the weekend. The food here is actually good. I tried their Refreshing Rolls($ 5.95), Pad Si-Ew($ 8.95) and Thai Orange Chicken($ 9.95). The Refreshing Rolls are basic spring rolls, veggies and shrimp or tofu wrapped in rice paper. They were okay, but I’ve had better and the peanut dipping sauce was underwhelming. I wouldn’t get them again, but the other dishes I had were really good. The pad si-ew with beef was made very well. The beef wasn’t chewy or tough and the veggies were cooked just right. The thai orange chicken was very flavorful. The chicken is deep fried in a light batter and the orange sauce is a nice combination of sweet and tangy. My biggest issue was with their delivery time. They arrived at the front door 30 min after the time they quoted and they were less than a mile away. The overall wait time was over an hour and this was around 8pm. If you’re hungry, you better pick up your food.

I really like this place. It’s better for to-go since the inside of the restaurant is really small and nothing special. But the food is really good. I always get the pad see ew with shrimp, which is delicious. Also, the thai iced tea is tasty. This place is a good, affordable thai staple.

Solid Thai food — I am pretty sure this is going to be my new go-to take out spot. Both the pad woon sen and cashew dishes had plenty of veggies in them and tons of flavor. Food came out quickly too!

I tried the pad Thai chicken once and it had no flavor… since I work nearby and I love Thai food I decided to give it a second try but this time informing the cook about my previous experience and they did a bit better job but I’m still sticking with my favorite Thai food place in garden grove! I wouldn’t give it a 3rd try since it isn’t cheap and there are other really good restaurants nearby :/ The workers however are really nice! The first time the cashier didn’t charge me for rice which I thought was nice.

I ordered delivery and just recieved my first order from here 15min ago and as good as it was when I started it unfortunately didn’t meet my hunger needs or expectations. I found some uncooked meet in my salad. I didn’t feel comfortable to finishing it, i know it wouldn’t have settled well. On the other hand my daughter loved their teriyaki chicken and white rice. Maybe next time it’ll work out for me, I’m gonna give it another try eventually.

This is a small place on 19th Street on the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach border. I was the only person in the place when I picked up my to go. I ordered the Pad Thai and the Pineapple Fried Rice. The Pad Thai was just average. Nothing stood out with it. The pineapple fried rice was fairly good with lots of chunks of pineapple and the chicken was fairly good. Would I return? Did it get my attention? No.

Food: — Red Tofu Curry: Bamboo, carrots, green bell peppers, basil leaves, and fried tofu in red curry. The curry was tasty. I had to pay extra for rice. This is one of my pet peeves. Entrees should come with rice. How else would you eat it? 4⁄5 — Thai Orange Chicken: Deep fried chicken in orange sauce sprinkled with sesame seed, over a bed of lettuce. The chicken had good flavor but it lost a lot of it’s crunchiness during the delivery. 4⁄5 — Mango and Sticky Rice: Sweet sticky rice covered in coconut sauce with a side of mango, sprinkled with sesame seeds. Yummy! 4⁄5 Service: There’s a minimum of $ 15 for delivery. It took a little over 45 minutes for my food to get delivered. 3.5÷5 Final Thoughts: I would come back here. I thought the food was good and the portions were huge.

Really mediocre experience. The service was rather terrible. Came here for quick grub one night after a strenuous session at the gym. I was starving! We sat down at one of the few tables in the restaurant and wait and waited, the person at the front counter was on the phone for a long time and ignored us. Finally I had to walk up and ask for a menu. Then ordered. We waited and waited and waited while to go orders were being made and picked up, but our food was nowhere to be seen. At this point, I’m getting a low blood sugar headache. I tried to get his attention to check on our order but he was still on the phone taking to go orders, I guess that’s what this place is known for. After a LONG time, our food finally came out. It was just a very ordinary Thai meal, really nothing exciting, the dishes were actually a bit too salty. Prices are competitive. Bathroom is behind the kitchen and fairly clean. Probably would not recommend.
