Rent One Equipment Rentals

I do not recommend renting from this facility. I’m still shaking because of how bad I was treated here. Customer service is so important and the guy I spoke to was horrible. I made a reservation online 4 days before which I always do online through U-​Haul. This facility changed my time for pick up and shortened the time I had asked for on there own. I called and spoke with Manny and asked him why they had changed it. He was extremely rude and defensive, he had to put me on hold to calm down his temper. I told him I still needed the U-​Haul but he refused and told me that there was no longer a U-​Haul available for me. He then said a few more rude things and hung up the phone. Horrible customer service and I do not trust doing business with them ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL CANCEL AND CHANGE YOUR RESERVATION!!!
I then called the official U-​Haul in Costa Mesa (2680 Newport Bl Costa Mesa, CA 92 627 (949) 631‑1250) and explained what happened. They were so great to work with. Tim set me up with a U-​Haul and told me that he has heard many complaints about this location. I recommend using this official U-​Haul.

This is a good U-​Haul establishment. We rented a couple of times from here, and will use them again. We tried Budget one time recently, because the rate was slightly lower, but in the long run it was not. The people at the U-​Haul on Commercial Way are friendly and honest. It is on a small side street that can be hard to park in sometimes, but they will help with that. The owner even gave me a credit because he remembered that I put more gas back into the tank on the previous visit. I like this place very much.

Great place! Manny is a fun guy and made my experience here great. I stopped by for some propane and Manny provided me with very professional and entertaining service. I would definitely recommend this place to any one who needs to move or just needs propane like I did.

I tried this establishment to move my office furnitures. I reserved my UHaul truck and specifically stated that I need to pick the truck up at 10 am and I need the truck for at least 6 hours. When I went to pick the truck up the sale rep. said that the duration is only 2 hours and the pick up time was at 7 am not 10 am. He also claimed that they has sent these changes to my email. Well they neither sent me their own changes nor had any flexibility to accept my terms. Please if you want to move from or to Costa Mesa never try this establishment. They very untruthful or unprofessional

I rented a UHaul from another state for my move to California and they assigned Rent 1 Equipment as my drop-​off location.
Their hours are posted from 8 – 5 but I showed up at 3 pm on Monday and there was no one around. I called their phone number and heard it ringing inside, pounded on the door, nothing. The office was locked, gates were bolted, and I was forced to park the van on the street and leave the key in the night drop off box (which I could barely reach… I had to squeeze my arm through a rusty chain link fence to drop the key in the box).
I got a call from UHaul today saying that my van hadn’t been checked in, although I dropped it off 5 days ago. So these people really don’t have their stuff together. Avoid them!

My experience with this company and it’s owner was extremely negative. The owner intentionally mis led me on when my rental was to be returned and then charged me for an extra day for bringing it back late (according to him). I specifically asked the owner when the drill needed be returned and then the next day it was a different story. Moreover the equipment was very old and was barely able to do the simple job. I usually use the the Home Depot rentals on Harbor Blvd a couple miles away. I’ll stick with them and never use this company again, and I recommend you do the same!!!
