Yay! So far so good. Dan explains things well and makes you feel at home. Temperature was not as bad as I thought. If you have ever visited Chicago in the winter with the wind blowing, it feels about like that but just for 3 minutes. Then you get to go outside like today and have 85 degree weather in February!!! Go figure. But I’m thinking he was a bit gentle with me since it was my first visit. I guess I will have to see on future visits. Note: I did feel tinges of cold afterwards when I went into the grocery store, where the A/C was on. Fortunately, I don’t think it’s Reynaud’s Syndrome. They specific prohibit that, as well as heart disease, etc.

Cryotherapy is awesome! I never knew it could be in such a convenient area too. Located near the 55 fwy and Mesa Drive. I walked in and was warmly welcomed by the staff, filled out some preliminary paperwork and stepped in the room to see all the TECH. So cool. I was walked through all the equipment, and intrigued to find that the owner and staff were so knowledgeable, and even knew about the podcasts I listened too about Cryo! All in all, great experience, especially if in the area. Tops.

Cryoptherapy is a therapy that is here to stay. If you are very active or suffer from daily aches and pains, I suggest you give it a try. Dan does a fabulous job. He explains everything in detail and interested in a positive outcome. Give it a try! You will love it!

I am a big runner who has suffered the typical injuries and joint pain. I found Polar Cryotherapy when trying to research ways to improve my recovery during marathon training and it has significantly improved my training. This was my first experience with Cryo and Dan explained the entire process to make sure I was comfortable from start to finish. Cryo has helped with fluid release in my legs as well as joint pain. I feel like a new person every time I go for a run and I have made a lot of progress in my training and recovery thank you to Dan and Polar Cryotherapy.

Tried this out after hearing great reviews from friends. Remarkable results for me. Really reduced my recovery time after a tough run or workout. Crazy how much better I felt the next day! Dan, who runs the business), is super nice too. Knowledgeable but not pushy. I’m a regular customer now and recommend giving this a try.

I’m very active and I cook for a living so my body feels pretty banged up most of the time. I went for my first cryotherapy session yesterday to 1.) see if it would alleviate the shoulder and lower back pain I feel on a daily basis and 2.) be just a little bit more like Tony Robbins. Dan was really informative about the process and answered all my questions. The facility is clean and he provides a robe, towel, socks, slippers and gloves. The session was unlike anything I’ve ever done before. It is quick, and very Very cold but not at all uncomfortable. Afterwards the pain I experience constantly was alleviated and my skin felt so tight and fresh. I’m interested to see how consistent sessions would really affect my body in the long run, but in the meantime id absolutely recommend this therapy and this office to anyone who needs it and/or is simply curious.

Dan was very informative about the whole process. We were in and out without a hicup. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Additionally, the treatment from start to finish was at maximum 15 minutes per per person. We felt results immediately after and slept great that night. I will be returning without a doubt.

As soon as I heard about this form of physical therapy it sounded genius to me. I mean, I’ll try anything once. Especially if it promises to make me look better, feel better, sleep better, work smarter… you get the idea. #MamaOpenMindedYo Problem is, the only cryo joint near Santa Monica is in West Hollywood, and we all know how long it takes to get from SaMo to WeHo. Good news: One of my besties, who was run over while sitting atop his Harley last year(no, that’s actually the bad news), is a big fan of this shop so decided to buy me a gift certificate for X-mas. And it was perfect because I just happened to be heading down to OC that day! Stopped in, listened to the doc’s info about it, stripped down and got in*. LOVEDIT! Better than a stiff Jameson Irish Coffee on a cold winter’s eve, lemme tell ya’! I mean, when I’m rich and famous, one of the first things mama purchases(right after the Gn’R pinball machine and Tesla Roadster) will be one of these gizmos. It’s such a natural high — literally and figuratively — to withstand those depths of cold for three minutes. Plus, it’s so kewl knowing that the sub-zero temps are good for everything, including your skin. I know, I sound like a paid promoter at this point, but the doc told me they’re trying to get one of these joints up and running in Santa Monica and all I can say is, yes, please!!! And when they do, you KNOW my lil’ hunnie, Miss GP, will be in for weekly doses. Oh, ya. *I was going to go full-monty but decided to leave my skivs on since I didn’t want the precious bits to freeze off. And… well, it feels like the doc can see in while he’s standing there talking to you. He’s not in the least bit pervy, but still. Free peep shows of this fabulousness means he should have to pay me. Mhm.

Super friendly and knowledgable! I had a great experience and felt a difference in my body and energy levels. Definitely recommend trying it at least once! And some people don’t feel it their first time out, but don’t knock it until you feel results! Great if you are an athletic person(runner, lifter, etc)

Amazing. I travel a lot for work and have chronic neck and back pain. These treatments have been so helpful. Dan is awesome informative knows his stuff and really flexible. My physical therapist even told me it was a great combo for me I’ve gone from 3 days a week of pt to 1 – 2. I actually miss the treatments when I’m traveling. I can say I believe it really has helped me.

Called the day I needed an appointment & Dan worked my son in later that day. He was very accommodating & a pleasure to deal with. He charges very fair prices & his Cryo room is very well kept, unlike other places we have been to. We will be coming here from now on. This is really the only treatment that really makes a noticeable difference in how my son’s body feels. He has a tough time recovering from sports training & this does the trick!

Great experience. Used an Amazon Local deal, it was my first time doing this. The business in a medical office, parking on the back. Dan explained everything very well and did a great job of reassuring. :) I went for the whole 3 minutes, it was a very interesting experience, felt uncomfortable at about minute 2, but still was able to stay for the whole period. Felt great afterwards. Will try again to see if I have any lasting effects.

I am not usually a grouponer but that is how I originally found Polar Cryo and I won’t lie… I was a little skeptical. However the results speak for themselves! I was coming in with a 8 month chronic hip injury. I had completely stopped running and training. I had tried acupuncture, massage, infrared light treatment so I was up for anything. I will say it again… the results were AMAZING! After my first session by the time I reached the parking lot my hip /back muscles felt noticeably looser. Think about it this way… ice with an ice pack for 20 minutes or cryotherapy for 3 minutes?! I went for a few sessions after that and each time noticed a huge improvement in my hip joint and muscles. Suddenly that sharp nerve pain started going away. Eventually I was able to start running and cycling again! Now I use cryotherapy for recovery. Whenever I train super hard and know I will be sore, I schedule my appointment. Again think about it this way… ice bath for 20 minutes or cryotherapy for 3 minutes?! Yes, it is cold but I promise it’s also worth it! Dan is as professional and friendly as they come. I was totally nervous about getting in this weird metal tank but he very calmly explained the whole procedure and made me feel at ease through the entire process.

Took my dad here for his birthday. Hes got aches and pain all over his body all the time. Thought this would be a good idea for him to look into and maybe start doing. The guy here is super informative and very nice. Made everything very understandable. And my dad left feeling really good! The prices are very reasonable, especially for first time visits. Will definitely drag my dad there again and hopefully talk my dad into buying one of the great priced packages.

We highly recommend not only Cryotherapy but Dan. Dan is knowledgeable and accommodating and we feel very comfortable when we are there. Cryotherapy is good for so many things. My husband suffers from psoriasis and Cryotherapy has helped to calm his flare ups. We bought the 10 session package and shared it between us. We loved it so much we bought a second package. We usually would make our appointments back to back and I would go first then my husband. On our last visit we still had 3 sessions remaining so my husband went first, then I went and then my husband went again. That double dose of coldness really helped his psoriasis. I have since done some research and the recommendations for psoriasis and cryo is to do 2 visits a day(1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) for a couple of weeks. Since we live 30 miles away this is not feasible for us but I have no doubt that it would knock that psoriasis out. We are hoping Dan opens a place closer to our home so we can continue to go on a regular basis. Money well spent. Thanks Dan.

Dan is super friendly and knowledgeable. He makes sure you are well informed before you even step into the cryo chamber. I have fibromyalgia and came in with no real expectations, but wanted to give cryotherapy a try. Boy, was I surprised! After only 1 session(mind you, results will vary from person to person), I felt such great relief! I found I tend to have much less inflammation and pain for at least a week following a 3 minute treatment. I expected to feel much of discomfort during the 3 minute«freeze», but that is not the case. Yes, it’s COLD. you will shiver, tense up, etc, but it’s definitely nothing intolerable at all. The socks, gloves, and slippers you are provided with are a help, I’m sure. Looking forward to some more relief by using this alternative to medication.

I’d like to start by talking about Dan. Dan is super educated and knowledgable; such a nice guy, very friendly and thorough, he answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. Now the Cryotherapy itself. It was an awesome experience, I expected it to be uncomfortable and annoying, but turns out it’s actually pretty refreshing. You feel really good right after you get out of the chamber, then you start coming down from this«high» and you notice that aches and kinks don’t come back the way they were. The key to this is consistency and going often to really help heal your body, but even one time feels like it reduces the swelling, pain, and takes the edge off injuries or muscle soreness. I definitely highly recommend it to the avid athlete as well as the weekend lifter.

I dug this place! Dan was very knowledgeable as I even quizzed him about thoughts from a leading expert on the use of ice therapy and how it can show slower recovery. Dan knew of the expert, had chatted with him, explained how cryo is different than ice therapy, and went further into the discussion. I felt like I was in a good, safe environment. I came in due to a soccer injury a few days before, I felt much better walking out of there than I had walking in. I found out the next day is a PCL tear, meniscus tear, and ACL damage that required surgery. There isn’t enough amount of liquid nitrogen to fix that, but I can tell you that I hobbled into that place, and walked out normal at least for a few hours. Thanks Polar Cryo! When I’m back to training and out of PT, I will definitely be seeing you guys again!

Prior to running a full marathon last September 2014, I ran a half marathon a the week before. I was pretty sore and my joints were beat. In addition to that training, I had been also doing bootcamp and some weight training which brought the soreness to another level. How did I recovery from all that to run a 26 mile marathon the week after? Polar Cryotherapy. For a mere groupon price, I was able to recover like a professional athlete. In the span of a few minutes of freezing«torture», my muscles were able to reset and feel good as new again. Cryotherapy is comparable to dipping your entire body in an ice bath, but instead flash freezing it vs swimming in ice. The feeling I got during the session is a uncontrollable teeth chattering and body shivering plus a tingling sensation, or basically pre-frostbite(they stop it before that happens of course). The feeling you get after is almost like a post massage. I rested for about a week and was able to complete my marathon in tip top shape thanks to doing Polar Cryotherapy. I highly recommend it for better performance and faster recovery, to get you back to the gym, training, or for a big day, asap. Dan is great and very informative. You are provided with everything you need(robe, socks, gloves, etc) when you arrive. All you have to do is come in and they’ll get you all set up.

Being a regular listener of Joe Rogan’s podcast, I’d heard Joe’s positive experiences of whole-bodycryotherapy. So, I wanted to try it locally. A google search revealed Polar Cryotherapy in Costa Mesa. I gave it a try. I was a little nervous at first, but, the mild discomfort turned out to be very brief, and the benefits are well worth it. The seemingly intractable foot pain I came in for is totally gone. I can now count on my scheduled freeze session resolving any gym related aches and pains. I’m hooked. I look forward to my weekly visits. Priced right and professionally managed by Dan. I’ve happily sent him several friends and family; all of whom have been pleased with the experience.
