I’ve tried it a couple of times. The Malay fried rice with most memorable because it has a nice fried egg on top of it. The place is a little dark inside and in close quarters. Their menu is very expansive with almost every type of asian food you can think of from Chinese, Korean, Japanese, so you have a lot to choose from.

I’m still sitting here 30 minutes after being sat waiting to order. I’ve made eye contact with 3 employees and they walk right past me. The looks I’m getting, it’s pretty clear they don’t want to take my order. Sorry for bothering you.

The food at this place has really gone downhill. The seafood crispy noodles I usually order at lunch used to come with a lot of veggie, squid, shrimp and imitation crab. It looks like a bird nest. But now, there’s hardly any veggie and any of the other ingredients; just more noodles. It’s sad looking. I also tried the vermicelli with pork, shrimp and egg-rolls. It’s currently $ 1 off for any vermicelli for summer 2014. It’s not bad except that the pork is fatty.

Been coming here since many years ago. first it was because there is always a long line at anjin, and one time I couldn’t wait any longer so we came next door to this place. to my surprise, the food was actually quite good. I usually order the same things I like at this place since I don’t usually come up this way. but I think they changed their menu layout recently so I had to look really hard for the ones I always order. Definitely recommend the egg rolls, it never disappoint me, always crunchy, tasty and full of flavors. the other dish I always order is the kymchee fried rice. I remember a long time ago they used to put the sunny side up egg on top of the fried rice, and they will mix the egg in front of you. but I guess now they do it differently, it’s always cooked with the fried rice I guess. Also tried their ankimo today, very fresh, I was happy. also got the clam soup which tasted wonderful. and my friend ordered a miso ramen, which I doubt abit too salty for me, and the ingredients were just mediocre. overall the food was quite decent, need enough man power to run the front though, waited almost 20 min for our hot tea…

This place is very low key but always leaves my belly happy. You can eat for cheap as the menu has the whole range from cheap apps to full meals and sushi. Service is hit and miss, but never all that bad if you have even an ounce of patience. They are pretty friendly, but occasionally the order comes out at different times or stuff gets forgotten momentarily. The food itself is very good. All the basics are spot on(fried rice, kimchi, philly roll etc) and there’s plenty more for those looking to get stuff that isn’t readily available elsewhere. Highly recommended for those just looking to get some late night food and drinks.

The Udon Vongole is soooo good and only 7 bucks! Also had the spicy tuna rolls which were good. The service was great. Servers were very kind and always checked up on me, refilled my water, etc… Theyre open until 12 am, definitely coming back to try their ramen.

went here for ramen week. $ 6 for the sautéed pork ramen with a coupon. it’s usually $ 12. it kinda tastes like mi xao don, but with soup. there wasn’t much pork, but a good amount of vegetables. it wasn’t bad… I think it’s worth $ 6 but it’s definitely NOT worth $ 12. we also ordered some appetizers — grilled beef tongue $ 7: this appetizer was so good! a must get if you go here. the green salty sauce that looked like wasabi it came with paired really well with the tongue. the tongue texture was good, not too tough. — chicken karaage $ 6: the waiter suggested we try this. it was actually pretty good. it’s kind of oily though but crunchy. I asked for more of that salty green sauce thing and dipped it with the chicken. so good! overall I really liked this dish I read in the reviews that the waiters were slow but the waiters that helped me seem to be working at a normal speed. the cooks seems slow though. it took a while for each item I ordered to arrive.

Ramen week stop #2! Sautéed pork ramen had good flavor and a good amount of veggies and meat. Sesami tofu was a little thick. It took me a while to flag down a waiter to take our order. And the food took a while to come out. The busboy(?) was really attentive as our water cups were never empty. We got free ice cream at the end because the host(?) or owner(?) said he made a mistake. I tried asking what the mistake was but he didn’t tell me so I was a little worried and confused at the end of the meal.

Hmmm … Just okay. The agedashi tofu was delicious, but their sushi rolls were not rolled tight! Every time I went to pick a piece up, it fell apart. :(. We also got mushroom appetizers, seafood pancake, and monk fish liver. They were just okay. Service was friendly, but they forgot about us bc they couldn’t see us over the dividers. Weird. Price was typically, about $ 35 for two people(w/o tip). Overall, I would not go out of way to eat here again. But if I was forced to go, I would reluctantly agree.

Ah no thanks… This is a place to come if you are out with a group of people and someone wants kung pao chicken, another wants phở and the other wants ramen. Geez, I wonder what Gordon Ramsey would say. I got some kind of chicken with rice and my co-worker ordered ramen… Food was edible but nothing to rave about but nothing negative to say. It’s just eh. Service was fine, nothing to complain about.

Is it me or do fights seem to break out every time I go here? This restaurant does not know how to control its drunk customers. It’s open late night, so it serves as a beacon for the local vagrants of Costa Mesa to get drunk and pick fights. The last two times I’ve been here there was a fight all involving drunk people, the bathroom, and a phone. When something like that happens, the restaurant staff doesn’t seem to take initiative or get involved in it. I went in hungry and lost my appetite, at the constant yelling, the eventual punching, and the arrival of the police that occurred during my last visit. As for the food, it’s pretty mediocre. My takoyaki felt like its been sitting on the counter top for someone to carry it away, and Salmon onigiri was as bland as they come. The spring roll was sufficient(although the rice paper could have used a few more minutes of soaking in the water), but the grilled chicken was simple and a nice surprise. Will I visit again? I think so, just to see what would happen on my third visit.

This was the perfect spot for a late-night dinner. They have an extensive and diverse menu offering Japanese and Asian foods such as sashimi, noodles, egg rolls, dumplings, fried rice, and kobachi(small tasty dishes) and more. The restaurant is open till 12AM which is perfect for those want a midnight snack :)

Eggrolls and Salmon Rice Balls are the only things I like from this place. We recently came here and tried a few items, but the only ones that were worth it was the Eggrolls and Salmon Rice Balls. Everything else, I could have made better. Service was fine. They did forgot an item from our order, and it was not worth the wait. The Glazed Shrimp was sour. Combination Fried Rice was small, dry and where is the protein? Kung Pao Chicken was all peanuts and celery. The Salmon Rice Balls tasted really good with some chili oil and soy sauce. Eggrolls had lots of meat in it, then you wrap it in a lettuce with mint and add the fish/sweet chili sauce = Best Eggrolls Ever! It was worth a try.

I thought to myself no way… so I went back anyways and what do you know?! it’s right there!

My wife and I just tried out Oki Doki and we really liked it. They have a huge selections of Izakaya dishes and there Motsu Nabe is great. So for my review i would say Customer Service is pretty good. Food is great. Atmosphere very nice. I would recommend it. :)

I’ve been here a couple times the last few days, and it’s pretty awesome. I love being able to order a bunch of little dishes to share with everyone. That way, we can all try a bit of everything! So far, my favorites include the wasabi octopus, fried chicken, takoyaki, and eggrolls! Happy hour starts at 11pm daily and include 16 oz. Kirin beer for $ 2 and… something else I forgot. Service is amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant is great! Great drinking place!

I should have known better than to eat at a restaurant that is advertised for specializing in 3 types of cuisines. Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese. Maybe if they stick to one, they can excel at one, instead of being so mediocre in all 3. I get fusion food and I’m usually a big fan, but this wasn’t fusion. This is a big mixture of different cuisines being served under one roof. Everything was off. The rolls, the ramen, the vermicelli. I wasn’t really too stoked about anything I ordered. It’s all very cheap eats though, but nothing to write home about. So I guess I’ll leave it at that.

yak! We were so disappointed in eating here. Sad because they are the few that open late and because I use to come here to pre-drink back in my clubbing days. I was rooting for a good dinner… Sadly, the only thing that was okay was the black cod. Everything else was drench in oil and very not worth it. We got the following and its description: Malay Fried Rice– It was topped with a tiny fried egg. It was just simple vietnamese fried rice with some sweet pork and peanuts. Nothing special. Egg Rolls– Greasy greasy mess. Served with vietnamese fish sauce. Again, nothing special. It was so oily I couldnt finish it. Calamari– HAHAHAHAHA. Nothing like calamari. The pieces of «calamari» was hard like rubber. The breaded outside was so greasy and oily it just fell of the calamari. It was served with Chinese sweet and sour sauce and some white mayo sauce. Black Cod– It was okay but was TINY. Probably like 3 inches by 3 inches. Did I mention how sick I felt after? Gross! I don’t know why Unilocal listed it as Japanese. Its definitely vietnamese/chinese food. Nothing japanese here. Our total was $ 25. Maybe this place is better to drink but definitely not to eat. Were not coming back.
