This is my favorite place for casual shirts and jeans. I love the clothes. The prices seem sky-high, but if you wait for the sales, you can get decent deals, 30% to 50% and even 60% off. And generally, the clothes last a lot longer than the stuff from low-end department stores. The one drawback is that they have a few high-pressure sales people. I always deal only with Veronica, who is pleasant and low-pressure. :-) I have had severe run-ins with Erin, one of the high-pressure people. :-(

I’ve been buying Faconabble for almost 25 years and as the prices have risen over time I periodically try other stores and brands but always seem to return. I’ve found that many of their dress clothes are timeless and the material quality is excellent and seems to last forever. Of course the more trendy causal wear goes out of style like everything else. Someone mentioned Nordstrom in another review, which I also love, but have found that their dress shirts wear and fray after about 6 months of fairly regular use. So you can buy a $ 75 solid shirt and replace it twice a year or buy $ 180 shirt. Admittedly, I just started buying solid colored shirts at Faconnable so we’ll see how long they last. Until I learn otherwise, it’s 5 stars from me.

i had to exchange a gift that my husband received here and do not understand why people prefer this store over getting a nice shirt at nordy’s for less. everything including the sale items were ridiculously overpriced. the staff was courteous but the shoppers were ultra snotty and the shirts are MADEINCHINA but designed in france. who cares where they’re designed?! $ 99 for a fricken polo. i love to shop and i’m not thrifty but seriously… i don’t get it.
