Heading from Aberdeen towards South Bend, the Artic Tavern is a nice stop for lunch. There is an adjacent R.V. park with the same name. Inside, it’s a cozy, friendly pub/neighborhood bar type place. There’s tap beer, pool table, T.V., a juke box. Friday night is smoke night, with the Egg grills fired up. I had excellent homemade clam chowder, served with a roll and butter. My companion had a ham and cheese pannini, served with coleslaw. «Olé» dog, a mix of bloodhound and Black lab(you have to see him!) was adorable. Just love this place.

The Artic pub appeared to us like an oasis in the dessert! Late-ish on a Saturday night, heading back from the coast, hungry, tired and everything was closed in the towns we drove through. Came upon the Artic and happily saw the lights were on. Went in and although the kitchen was closed for dinner, Lisa kindly made us sandwiches and pasta salad! So nice! The sandwiches were awesome — comfort food like your mom would make, and the pasta salad was delicious and flavorful. Great beer selection(tap and bottles/cans) cheery décor, pool table and TV’s, a friendly old black Lab, and good conversation with Lisa. Could have spent a few hours there if we had time — am looking forward to this being a regular stop on our coastal trips!

Visited on a recent motorcycle road trip. Was greeted by new owner Lisa and friendly bar dog«Olé». We viewed the renovations to interior and the sun deck and were very impressed. Lisa advised that the grill and food service are pending and we look forward to that on future visits. Great place to stop for a break and good conversation with Lisa, Olé and the«locals».
