The Tri-​Cities was lucky to have been recently visited by the Corvalis, Oregon’s salsa group, Rumbanana. This group gave a workshop on the Afro-​Cuban dance style known as Casino and the group dance known as Casino Rueda. Mike and Simona (instructors from Rumbanana) were engaging, full of energy, totally funny, and really really good.
The workshop was about 3 hours, and in that time we learned the basics, in a very laid back and fun way. We were dancing the basics of Casino in no time, and we had a huge Rueda going as well! It was so much fun, and I can’t wait to make a trip down to Corvalis to meet up with Rumbanana again!
