I have a huge event coming up in a couple days and I purchased a custom made dress from a fancy schmancy designer months ago and my first fitting was completely wrong and way too short, so they took it back and tried again and ended up changing the whole style of the dress on the bottom, wrong again, and I began to panic. I was running out of time, and not enough time to send it back to LA again and take the risk once again. This last Friday, I was referred to Cyn(after driving to 3 other alteration specialists that were not up for the task) and she took the challenge head on. I received a message only a couple days later indicating the dress was ready. She made the dress EXACTLY how It was supposed to be and I couldn’t be happier. She made a miracle happen when I thought I lost hope. I will always be using her for my alteration needs. :)

We brought a jacket into Cyn for tailoring. It needed to be taken in. She looked it over and happily stated that she could have it done in no time. We stayed and visited with her for a while as she was very charming and lovely to talk to. We left feeling very satisfied with her service, and were happy to have met such a nice lady. When we picked up the jacket she handed it to us, we paid, and we left. On the way out, for whatever reason, I was looking the jacket over and noticed track marks(from a sewing machine or tool) in the jacket. We went back inside to have it examined. The frustrating thing about this was when Cyn tried to cut around the bush when she was confronted. She told us that it was hard to work with leathers, and that it happens. But for us, we were very frustrated because she wasn’t owning up to her mistake(that we paid for!) She continued for a while to insist that there was nothing she could do to fix it. My mom and I left. In the car, I felt angry that she didn’t offer to try to fix it or offer our money back. I encouraged my mom to call back and ask her to address this. She did. Eventually, Cyn offered to pay for a new panel for the section of the jacket that she messed up on. It ended up costing us a lot to have to send that panel and the jacket back to the company it came from for them to repair. The whole situation was crumby. I am very glad Cyn ended up doing the right thing, but it was very frustrating that she didn’t initially take full responsibility.
