Whataburger

Whattaburger is everywhere, in Texas! (Well, the parts I’ve visited).
Simple fast food place with your usual menu of burgers, fries, etc. I can see why there’s one every other block. They definitely have a good taste to the burgers, everything tastes fresh and meat wasn’t too dry. Fries were good as and crispy as well. I also like that they have ketchup in little containers which they deliver with your food if you choose to dine in. (Ask for spicy ketchup if they don’t offer it right away. It’s good!)
I love their lemon pies. It’s delicious and not too sweet.

Wow… give them a few months of operation and has anything improved? NO! I came with coupon in hand for a «BOB» (Breakfast on a Bun) and see the line at the drive-​thru curled around the building. So I go in. Getting my order in isn’t a hassle, but I do notice about 7 people standing around waiting for their to-​go orders. So they had the same notion about the drive-​thru. In sitting around and waiting, I catch the following: the ice machine for drinks isn’t putting out any ice, they ran out of coffee and instead of making a new pot – they bring out a carafe and pour it one at a time… their napkin dispensers were empty, so I see a full sleeve of napkins sitting on the counter for people to take what they need from that. They didn’t take a moment to re-​fill the dispensers. So… coffee pots empty (and no refill in site evidently)…napkins not being refilled (but a full sleeve of ‘naked’ napkins out for customers) and no ice.
Very sad state of affairs at the newest WhataMess.
