Island Yogurt Shoppe

Good froyo place. Nothing too special to add.

I had a good time here with my kids (2 and 1). The price was reasonable, the music was good. They even had a few toys to distract my kids. It was like tea shop but with frozen yogurt.

I’ve become a big fan of frozen yogurt shops in the past few months and have done comparisons of the top contenders in my hometown, Austin. But we were visiting Corpus for a couple of days and were in need of a cool, creamy treat, so I checked Unilocal to get some suggestions. I decided to try Island Yogurt Shoppe and I am very glad I did. The shop is in a strip center, a little tricky to see from the street, but thanks to GPS, we found it.
It’s a clean, fairly small place, but my eyes were snagged by the toppings bar… holy cow! They have the most toppings I’ve EVER seen in one place, including some of my faves that don’t seem to be in most yogurt places: Whoppers… Nestle’s Crunch bits… mini-Rolos…and many, many more.
Their flavors were an interesting mix and they DO provide sample cups. I tried a watermelon sorbet and it was delicious… SO delicious, in fact, that it would not have needed any toppings at all. So I opted instead for some coconut crème and vanilla, while my wife tried the salted caramel pretzel. I got plenty of toppings and paid the very nice, helpful young lady who was working the counter.
The yogurt was firm and more frozen than I find in most places, but that just made it stay solid longer. Flavor, selection, service… it was all great. It even edged ahead of my favorite Austin spot, which is a problem… because I don’t get down to Corpus very often. Next time I do, though… I know exactly where I’m going first.

Best flavors I’ve seen in a yogurt shop. Very clean facility. The girls working there are also very helpful and friendly. Will be going back when we vacation again!

My families favorite yogurt shop! The shop is clean and so friendly. They give you a very welcoming feeling the whole time your there. We love the great flavors and friendly staff which is very important to us.

We come here for great flavors at a reasonable price a few times a month. My daughter lived it.

Found this gem during a weekend family trip on the Island. We have had Frozen yogurt all over the country and this place is by far the best in Corpus Christi. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff. I recommend the Yogurt Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel, its delicious. The smell of fresh waffle cones is magnetic. The Island Yogurt Shoppe is a place you must visit when on the island!
