This place is awesome! I try to make it out to the Highland Games out in the San Diego area every year I can and ever year I always need someone to help me out with my kilt(cause things go missing in my house alot) The staff is super passionate about what they offer and can help you out like they have for me time and time again. I always look my best cause of them and I love going back just to check out the cool Celtic stuff they have on display. More people need to go here and anyone who rates this place lower than 4 stars needs to go back on their meds.

I love doing business with local retailers like this. The ladies who helped us were so sweet and kind. We were there to buy a kilt and had *no* idea what we were doing. They were patient and gave us lots of options. In the end, we ended up buying and were really happy with how it all turned out.

Awesome customer service the lady at the counter has been working for over a decade at this unique genuine store. Love this place.

The shopkeeper’s accent alone is an awesome Scottish experience: D so kind and polite! This place has a neat little selection of Scottish wares and some Irish items, pretty cool Celtic jewelry here. I would have bought some of the Claddaugh and Celtic knot jewelry if I wasn’t so cheap. If you’re looking for family heritage items or just some really cool Irish/Scotyish jewelry, check it out!

I found this shop at the Scottish Irish Highlands festival in Estes Park, CO yesterday to my disappointment. I decided to dress in the Scottish dress for my wedding next year. My fiancée was with me and we were really excited! I had found out my families heritage from Scotland, found Clan Gunn, and wanted to represent my heritage in our wedding. What an absolute disappointment coming across the woman running this shop, who is also the business owner, here at the festival! I saw a Prince Charles jacket and asked to try it on. There were only 2 jackets left there and they didn’t fit. I asked her if she could take my measurements so I could simply order the jacket both my fiancée and I loved in a month or so. She says to me, «we don’t do measurements unless you buy the same day.» Well, how do I buy that day when you have neither a jacket in my size or a Clan Gunn kilt?! I asked this again and she literally changed the subject. My fiancée gave her a try and she finally took 2 measurements which will make it impossible to place an order. She put forth no effort to explain the process of how to order anything from her business! How hard to I have to try to give you over $ 1000.00 for your product?! I went to another vendor called the Scot Shoppe and they took FULL measurements for me. Although they didn’t have my size at their store, they explained how I could order from them when I was ready. They will receive my business because they cared to have it.

This place is amazing and hilarious and they have an amazing selection. They have English foods and clans as well. I was super excited about the Aaron sweaters… Even though I’m in California.

I had to rent a Kilt for a wedding and could find NO other place in SD that had em. I found these guys and I am so happy I did. The staff is SUPER nice and very helpful. I felt stupid asking so many questions that to them are completely obvious. They really took their time with me answered all my questions and fitted me into a Kilt that was perfect. I love it so much that after I ended up ordering myself a Kilt of my own. I am getting it custom done to my Irish family clan tartan. They also have an awesome assortment of Celtic jewelry and other Irish heritage items. While in Coronado i recommend giving them a look. Cheers, DJ Pat

We’ve been shopping with Scottish Treasures for years, at their old shop, at the games in Vista and Costa Mesa and now at their new location. They made my(now) fiancé’s Marine tartan kilt a number of years ago and it came out wonderfully. So when we started getting ready for our wedding we of course turned to them for kilt rentals! They made the process easy with a painless measurement session for my dad — not a kilt fan — and gave us content for our wedding website to direct the other guys on how to rent from them. It’s well worth the drive to Coronado and a visit there gives a great excuse to explore the island.

We had a medieval wedding and had to do a lot of work to make it ‘fun’ and not ‘tacky’. Thank goodness for Scottish Treasures because their kilt rentals allowed my husband and his groomsmen to look absolutely handsome during the ceremony, and gave everything a formal and elegant feel(not costumey!). Their kilt quality is EXCELLENT. After the ceremony all the dudes changed into a Ghillie shirt which Tricia special ordered for us. This allowed them to cut loose during the archery tournament and really let the medieval party start. They looked so fantastic! Because of our enormous wedding party and a few last minute additions we ended up having to rent one kilt from an online retailer and really got to see the superior quality of Scottish Treasures close up. We feel SO lucky to have found such an amazing and high quality Kilt Rental in San Diego. The men, honestly, looked bad ass!

Wow. Never been made to feel stupid by a salesperson before. I asked a simple question, which this man laughed at, and proceeded to tell me why I would never find what I was looking for unless it was made in Thailand. I had bought a Claddagh ring in Dublin for around 10 Euro, which would be less than $ 20, so I called around to shops in San Diego to find one around the same price(I was not expecting it to be made out of sterling silver). No such luck, but at least the other shops were nice about it. You should never feel bad about yourself after hanging up the phone with someone who is supposed to provide customer service. Sad to say I’ll probably never visit this shop.

I’m a sucker for men in kilts. Maybe thats why you’ll find shop owner, Jim, in his on most days. If you have been wanting a TRADITIONAL, MADEINSCOTLAND kilt(not the fake mass produced crap you find these days) then Jim is your man. He is hands down the best fitter around. He is so knowledgeable about the tartans and which is the one for you. Ladies, If you are looking for that standout piece of jewelry, like I was, Trish and Marjorie will take the time to help you. They are not pushy and if you need that special order, it gets to you quickly. Almost ALL their pieces are imported from Scotland or Ireland and arent cheap knockoffs. Want to get a beautiful Claddagh Ring for someone special? They have so many unique styles, its hard to choose. Liz, Jamie and Susan will bend over backwards to help you find the perfect gift item for the wee baby to your Granny. You really could do all your Christmas shopping in this one shop. They have an open house Thanksgiving weekend… Dance a reel with the entertainment, sample authentic Scottish food, avoid the mall and knock out your Christmas list in one shop… all while listening to the drone of the bagpipes. I can go on forever about these lovely folks and their wee shop full of food, gifts, music, jewelry and clothing… all imported from Scotland… kinda like themselves. PS– Dont tell anyone, but another reason I shop here? Just to hear them talk!

Attn: Knitters — This is listed as a yarn shop on Planet Purl, but doesn’t carry yarn. It does have lots of lovely items fr: Scotland, so if you want a kilt or canned haggis, this is the spot.
