Brittney is the best stylist I’ve ever had and I am VERY picky when it comes to my hair. She knows color, and always makes it natural and the color lasts forever. I live in Montana and fly down to Coronado to have Brittany do my hair. She is the best end of story!

Amazing salon! I have been going to Salon de Ville for years since they were in a smaller location next door. I had been driving all over San Diego for my blond color before finally discovering how talented the owner Ashley Gill and her team is. Now I won’t go anywhere else for my beauty needs. They offer skin care, eyelash extensions and nail care along with great hair. Plenty of parking and super friendly people that work there. I get tons of compliments on my color and cut and can’t say enough about this great place! You will love it.

I was in town visiting and needed some «emergency» hair care. I found on Unilocal that they were open on Sunday and tried calling them Saturday. Kept getting a message that their mailbox wasn’t set up. Looked online to see if Unilocal had the wrong number listed but they all had the same unresponsive number. Was walking to dinner later that night and saw that it appeared to be a legitimate salon so I decided to go back on Sunday morning. Doors locked, nobody there.
I get that emergencies happen and businesses need to temporarily close. But not explaining that on your voicemail and no signage? Makes a potential customer frustrated.

My experience was to come in for a free color. I was told to be open which I was. We decided on silver… the new grey look. It look many processes. At first I thought ok this is great. The owner was very friendly and kind. However… the feedback from family and friends was less than flattering. The color was uneven root to tip and only lasted a couple weeks before it washed out. I should not complain because it didn’t cost anything for the first visit where I believe she did 4 processes in one visit and 4 hours. It was when I needed to pay for the tip only the next time which was $ 50 and the cut which was $ 65 and eyebrows $ 25 plus $ 10 tip. I left for a trip a few days later and had to sit through a court room trial looking pretty bad. Since this time my hair has been so severely damaged I have to get monthly treatments. My new stylist was shocked at the amount of hair I’ve lost and the extensive damage I got as a result. Even though the staff is very friendly and kind I look back now and think I was basically a test dummy.

Love this place, Carrine is the best hair stylist and colorist … All my family go to her and we love her …

Found Marilyn upon my return to Coronado after some time living elsewhere.
She lives up to her rave reviews as a color specialist.

Best Salon in town. Very clean, open and airy. Love modern vibe. The people that work here are kind and offer coffee or tea. The stylists are TOP notch and manicurists are FABULOUS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Salon de Ville in Coronado.

Sherry was my first ever threading experience and I am NEVER going back to waxing. She was the sweetest woman and an absolute confident pro at what she was doing. Highly recommend. Marilyn did my color and she is above and beyond the best colorist I have ever worked with. Not only is she talented but she was also really fun to talk to which is important to me because I like feeling comfortable with someone I spend that much time with :) she is doing my bridal styling for hair and makeup and I am so excited and confident for my big day. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would visit again.

I came in depressed had damaged hair felt there wasn’t any hope. Jennifer listened to all my needs and was able to give me healthy looking hair with body and shine. Jennifer is a real pro!

Marilyn Klisser does my highlights and color here and I’m in LOVE with her work. I don’t go home wishing we had done «this or that» differently. I’m just consistently happy when I leave every single time. She also cuts my boyfriends hair (pickiest guy ever!) and he’s also realllly happy with her. On top of great hair care she’s literally one of the sweetest people I know. Highly recommend her to anyone!

I went here today for the first time based on Unilocal.I saw Laura, and I was extremely happy with my experience! I was looking for a change but didn’t want to do too much to my hair at one go. She listened to my ideas and helped me feel comfortable. I’m so happy with it! It wasn’t quite as dramatic as I was aiming but she basically would have had to spend all day trying to remove my old color from a box in order to fix it without damaging my hair, but she said I can go back and we can go back at it whenever I have the time, and I will be back!

Love Sharry! Got my highlights done with Sharry, she was awesome! I showed her a picture of the color and style I wanted and it turned out exactly what I was looking for. And afterwards she did an amazing job threading my eyebrows. I’m glad I found this gem in Coronado. Will go back again.

Marilyn is such a professional and asset to this salon!

She gives attention to details, she never rushes, she makes sure that she understands and delivers whatever it is that you want done with your hair.
Her personality is very pleasant and worm.
She is the biggest asset of this place.

Great place. Just moved in to the neighborhood, and was super excited as its less than a min walk from my house. Went there for manicure and pedicu last night. Lana did a great job. Highly recommend her. I think she works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Very happy to find a place so close to home and that does a great job. I am definitely a regular now.

Love Janette! A friend of mine started going to Janette a couple years ago and has since gotten multiple of our friends and family hooked on her skills. She helped my two best friends and I fearlessly (almost!) donate 11in of hair each for charity and helped us LOVE our new shorter styles. I learned my lesson when I tried going to another salon only to come back and have her fix the hack job I got elsewhere. She’s very sweet, and gives the BEST scalp massages too.

Went yesterday to see Marilyn for the first time and she was the best I have had in a very long time. The salon is gorgeous so it was a great feeling walking in. Marilyn took such great care of me and gave me the royal treatment. The scalp massage that she gives really took me to such a peaceful place which was nice. My cut and color turned out amazing and her skills are top notch. I will now refer all my guests and friends to Marilyn.

My first appointment was with Solene, and she surpassed all my expectations — she asked all the right questions and very through about what I was looking for/​expecting and when it came to discussing hair colour she made sure my idea of auburn really meant. She was personable, relatable and most importantly a professional who knows what she is doing — especially since I have curly, thick and dry hair having someone knowledgeable cutting/​styling my hair is a must.
The space is open, bright, clean and inviting. I would recommend Salon de Ville and Solene to everyone!

Sharry is a miracle worker. I first went to Salon De Ville to find someone to fix an at-​home coloring disaster. I had hideous color AND fried hair. They set me up with Sharry who is not only super sweet, but very very good at what she does. No joke. My hair is thick, course, wavy in some spots, straight in others… you get the idea. I left with pretty, shiny hair and she cut off the charred ends without chopping off all my hair. So I had to go back.
Background: I hate salons. Hate them. I always end up, due to my difficult hair, with some manner of Hilary Clinton, Laura Bush type bubble head haircut. Every. Time. I’ve tried good salons, great salons, everything. I hate them all. So I especially hate paying X amount of dollars to walk out holding back tears.
In addition, I have zero tolerance for attitude. Zero. None. I will walk right out of any establishment. I don’t care if it’s «upscale» or down-​home. I don’t need anyone to kiss my feet, just don’t be snotty.
Which brings me to overall review of salon: In the two times I have been there, I was greeted promptly and with sincerity. The salon is nice, bright, clean and contemporary. I especially like it because I don’t feel like I have to bust out my nice bag and shoes to get any service. I don’t go in my pajamas, but I don’t feel like I have to get dolled up just to get a haircut. Meaning it’s a nice salon, but relaxed.
Overall, Sharry is wonderful. She fixed my color disaster, and cut my hair without resorting to just cutting off all my hair. Weeks later, the haircut grew out wonderfully and even helped tame my crazy Scottish Afro. (Not edgy cool afro a la Solange Knowles) but fluffy, frizzy, Rosanne Rosannadanna hair…
I just went back for a BIG change from my red, just below shoulder length layered cut, to a just below jawline brown/​black Louise Brooks bob. Even with the shorter layers, when I walked out, I felt like Catherine Zeta-​Jones in Chicago. Minus the great singing voice. I will definitely be back.
ps: mostly metered parking and Ive only been to Sharry so I don’t know other stylists prices, but it wasn’t a cheap haircut but that’s ok. It was totally worth it.

I love this salon! (Ashley Gill owner and hairstylist) is a very talented woman. Her salon is warm, modern, intimate and very welcoming! Ashley keeps up with all the new hair trends and is a perfectionist with her craft. I can say that I have seen her from first hair cut to now, and she has traveled a long road working and training with top stylists and has undergone a lot of extensive training through additional courses which makes her one of the hardest working best stylist I know.
Ashley has worked very hard and put forth a tremendous amount of effort to be at the top of her game! Ashley did my hair not to long ago when I was blonde for a moment and needed crown work done for my re-​growth. She did my hair perfectly and I recieved tons of compliments which always means job well done and people just marveled at her work! Which made me feel beautiful, which is what we all want right?
Ashley does a phenomenal job; she is swift, accurate and very sweet… what more can you ask for?
I highly recommend Salon De Ville to anyone who wants a great stylist who is in tune with the latest styles and classic ones as well but most importantly makes sure her work is more than fantastic!
Also, look out for Salon De Ville’s Lindsay, she is an exceptional stylist and does highlights to perfection. She has done me and my sisters hair and we love her and appreciate her work!
