Regarding Joanne Y’s post on Unilocal was inappropriate. Our sales rep’s appointment was set between 10:00/10:30. He arrived at 10:20. Unilocal is a despicable parasite making income off yours and our good business or practice names. Something has to be done to make them conform to legitimate business practices and stop hiding behind antiquated free internet speech laws. We need to demand action at the legislative level to protect our reputations. 31 years in business and 2 bad Unilocal… REALLY??? Guess some people are just negative and dislike the world and obviously themselves.

DON’T DOIT! First of all Chris M. is the most disrespectful sales guy I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting and because he screwed up, he wasted his breath and efforts arguing — yes, ARGUING with me about the fact that he was more than 30 minutes late to an appointment that HE made to give me an estimate. They came to my neighborhood, doing door to door sales, which is not a problem because I have been getting estimates for replacement windows already and thought it could be helpful to get another. So I spoke to Chris M. who scheduled a 10AM appointment for the following day — NOT10:30AM or whenever they feel like showing up. I then provided my basic contact info and address TWICE. As I started to ask a question, he cut me off and handed me his cell phone, to me speak to someone at his office named«Carlos». I should’ve just closed the door on him them. I then again provided my contact info and address and confirmed our estimate meeting the following day at 10AM. So, the next day comes, 10AM comes and goes, 10:20, 10:30…no show and no phone calls from anyone in the company. So, I called their offices, using the flyer Chris M. handed me during his sales pitch,(which clearly read 10AM estimate meeting) at the number he provided. The receptionist was nice and I politely told her I had already waited more than 20 minutes and had not heard from Chris M. or Carlos or whoever was supposed to give the estimate at 10AM. I then left my home to go back to work, since I had to take time off to get this estimate done. She tried to convince me to give Chris M. another chance, but honestly, if I am going to take time off of work and spend potentially thousands of dollars on a home project, I expect at least a courtesy call if the guy is running late. So, she apologized, no big deal, and I cancelled any further meetings. Then 20 minutes later, Chris M. finally calls(too late) and proceeded to harass me about the fact that he had the wrong address and it wasn’t his fault he was so late to our meeting. Seriously ?? They all had my phone number and address which I confirmed TWICE to two different employees! Why didn’t Crhis M. bother to give me a call when he knew he would be late to meet with me? I ended up hanging up on him after he had the audacity to ARGUE with me over the phone about the fact that I didn’t want their business. Is that how they think they will win customers over??? After I returned home from my day, I was shocked to see this guy was now knocking on my front door. Again, he literally stood there and argued with me about the fact that HE was late because he was somehow given the wrong address yada yada(at this point, I was getting pissed off)… I already told you i’m not interested in your business three different times, what is your problem? I was done with him at this point, I said no thanks, went inside and closed the door to avoid any further confrontation with this guy. All in all, Chris M. was just disrespectful, unapologetic, and overly aggressive AKA an ASSHOLE. Chris M., I’ve had enough. If you come to my door again, I can promise you will not like the outcome. Move on! I have appointments with two other companies, BROTHERSHOMEIMPROVEMENT who had extremely high Unilocal ratings and LOWE’S tomorrow. I’ll post an update for anyone looking for good customer service and basic respect as a customer.

Tim went around the neighborhood to schedule free estimates for home improvement. I told them that I was interested in a new roof and multi-split A/C system. They scheduled Chris to come to my house for a free estimate. Upon arrival, Chris tried to sell me Windows for a few hours, but I told him that I was really only interested in a roof and a/c. I will admit that Chris is a really good salesman! He was at my house for 6 hours! He almost got me to get a new roof, but he couldn’t tell me the price for the multi-split system… and he still insisted that I get new windows. I opted not to sign up with him because the bill didn’t fit my budget. The prices seemed inflated and Chris kept on trying to «help» me by offering me additional discounts. But alas, I followed my gut instincts and didn’t go with them… Chris was a really nice guy and I felt like I missed a great opportunity, so I decided to do some homework. I researched a different company(Guardian Roof) to do the exact same amount of work I wanted but for significantly less… several thousands less! In addition, the company is a Platinum Preferred Roofing company for Owen Corning as well. Example: Price for attic insulation: West Coast Windows: $ 7,700 Guardian Roofing: $ 2,500 Whole House Fan West Coast windows: $ 3999 Other Company: $ 1500 Please do your homework before you sign any contracts with a contractors!
