We ordered food to be delivered. It took less than an hour to have our food at our front door. Food was very good my husband love it. We got a chicken and steak skewer, side of cucumber dill which is amazing and humus. The meats tasted great but the rice is the best. I asked for a side Of the Rumis salad and It was like a whole one. Every thing was great my husband wished they put more meat. Im not giving a 5 star only because they are a bit overpriced on the main courses.

Decided to come here with my two boys for a Saturday night dinner since the last time I came here, my co worker and I had such a good time — relaxed atmosphere, food was flavorful, and service good. Called ahead to see about seating wait time. Was told via phone that it was not busy. We came shortly after and the place was virtual packed. The manager or owner had to put together a table for us – table meant to sit 4(2 tables put close together with mismatched toppings — one with cloth and one with cloth and a glass top over it) but came out with just 3 chairs and a hastily laid out place settings for 3. Waited a few minutes while the traffic of servers breezed on by when someone finally came over to take our drinks order. Quickly informed the waitress that we were ready to order to lessen our wait time and she nicely took it. Food came at a decent time, granted the place was full and busy with a couple of large groups dining not too far away from us. There was live entertainment as well, although in the one and a half hour we were seated having dinner, I think the entertainer — singer/guitar player took 3 – 4 breaks. Why give it 3 stars??? Well for starters, our table location was basically near the counter close to where the hub bub of the kitchen was; the traffic streamed by so closely to our table that the workers periodically bump the corner of the table which either rattled the items on that table or rattled my son who was sitting at that table trying to eat/drink his soup. Then when we were finally ready to eat the main entrée, the owner? or was he the manager? clumsily spilled my son’s soda all over the newly provided plate plus table and narrowly missed showering him with it. When that happened, my son jumped, I shrieked and my other son was just speechless. My son, who was almost showered, expecting an apology of some sort, was even more surprised when instead of «I’m sorry», the guy did a «waving» motion and said«move to other table»… Guess that was the apology. My other son jokingly commented«free food — no charge» and moved over to the new table. The servers did the best they could for the situation but I think that episode left a sour taste on my younger son’s mouth. To top it off, no discount was given whatsoever on the bill, not even free drinks — none at all!!! So yes, another Unilocal reviewer did say this place was over priced — my bill was close to $ 75 for basically three bowls of mediocre barley soup and a couple dishes of meat and rice, granted the meats were juicy and flavorful. The entertainer sang salsa type music not Persian and no belly dancers which most places offer on weekends… Guess my first trip here was an isolated event. I doubt my boys would want to come back any time soon.

I ordered take out. I ordered 2 kabobs, an order of hummus and an order of the cucumber/tomato salad. My total was a whopping $ 47. That is expensive but it was a holiday and I was at work, so a coworker and I thought maybe the food is worth it… So about the food. I’m not going to knock them on their chicken it was good. But still not worth the $ 13 dollar price tag when all it comes on is a bunch of rice. The rice was good but that’s all there was. The hummus was moist but very very bland. The steak skewer was good but not worth $ 15. It pains me to say but save your money guys. There’s another place about two miles away that I wrote a review on for half the price and their plates come with salad AND hummus. 2 stars because it was overpriced. You can’t fool me with all that rice!

Every year we get their different kabobs catered to our holiday Christmas party and every year it’s a HUGE hit. Their food is good, their chicken and beef koubideh, which is not an expensive item, but hard to get perfectly right, is on point. True to form, good Persian food. Never eaten in the restaurant as its not really close to us but they will continue to get our business for our holiday party each and every year. All of our clients and employees love it.

I know you’re kinda busy with your elves right now And I don’t know how You do the things you do while I sleep on Christmas eve But it’s amazing at… RUMI’S! — Mariah Carey(oh santa!) This is one of my favorite Persian places to eat with my gf. We’ve been here twice already and the food’s been great both times. We ordered the tabouli salad both times, and it’s a great start to the meal, as well as the hummus. The first time I ordered the shrimp and the second time I ordered the filet mignon kabobs. Both times they gave us huge portions and a ton of rice and vegetables. What makes it an ideal place to try is that they are open for lunch and dinner — would not hesitate to recommend to anyone! Will be back again from what seems to be a family owned restaurant!

Great place for Persian food and perfect ambience for date night albeit we had 7&5 yr olds in tow. We fed them before since their palates are not refined enough yet to enjoy the cuisine served at this fine establishment. Located off Hamner next to Betty Faye’s Café, Rumi’s Persian Cuisine is a hidden gem in the IE. Place is dark inside and has a romantic tone with lights and music. Tonight(Friday), there was a gentleman playing a guitar to soft tunes. They do have a free cold appetizer with Unilocal check in for a cold appetizer, 3 choices to make; hummus is great. They do serve little slices of pita/tortilla bread free of charge(I know I probably sound ignorant but that’s my reference point). We ordered a Rumi’s salad, $ 9, which was plenty to share or you could have it as a meal. Wife and I shared a Rumi’s combo #3, $ 32. Served with huge plate of rice, and 3 huge skewers of chicken, kafta, and steak(medium). I could not eat all of it. It was so delicious but I didn’t want to stuff myself. I wanted to save room for dessert. For dessert at $ 2 per baklava $ 2, bahmeh, and zoolbia. I enjoyed them. A bit sweet but I could only eat about half because it was too much for me. They were so kind and gave my daughter a small serving of vanilla ice cream free of charge. Overall, excellent food and great customer service. I will definitely return. Happy eating! BTW I not they only had corona, Stella(my choice tonight) and some domestics.

Excellent Persian food in Corona. We came in for a quick lunch and they were nice enough to take our order over the phone so that the food was ready by the time we got there. Upon check in we also got to chose a cold appetizer to munch on for free. I ordered the beef koobideh and my friend ordered the Combination beef and chicken koobideh. Both were juicy and very tasty, seasoned to perfection to say the least. Our server was friendly and was kind enough to go over the menu even though we had already ordered. This little gem is perfect for lunch, and we will be sure to come back. Parking is plentiful, and the restaurant is conveniently located right by the 91 freeway and 15 freeway. I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to spice up their lunch experience. Their prices are also extremely reasonable, and portions are very generous.

Walked in at 9.10PM on a thursday night. Got a plate of beef koobideh for me and a plate of chicken koobideh for my guest. Both came with 2 skewers. The beef was juicy and tender and same was the chicken. If you check-in on Unilocal, they give you a cold appetizer for free, thats kinda cool.
