Polanco Restaurant

My husand’s family has been going to caridad since he was in diapers. I always wondered why our bill was so expensive. is all Dominican food that expensive? Well the answer is NO! At Polanco, you get the same typical stews, rice and beans, soups, drinks etc. for ½ of the price! Same great service, the owner is an adorable old man that plays jams on this awesome jukebox that shows music videos! This place has seating for about 10 people, but is totally worth it. No frills, just good food, good service, and lots of Mets players photos on the walls. We had san cocho, ox tail, and chicken stew with 4 beers and a morir sonando for around $ 60.

Love this place ! I always get the Mofongo de camarrones ! I’ve been coming here for 2 years and it never lets me down. Visit with my coworkers for lunch as often as we can. I would only say don’t come if you’re in a rush they’re not in one. Also the space is small 4 people need 2 tables.

I always order out from this place. Seen it once and its a very small spot. Everyone from my job orders from here. The steak and onions is amazing! Good rice and beans. I had catering done for parties and their pork and baked chicken is delicious. Delivery time is good. Had the owner deliver himself once. Great food and service. Real Dominican taste!

I’ve been here a few times, mostly for Dominican breakfast-​mangu, salchichon, fried cheese, juevos fritos, etc. That kind of goodness. I’ve always been satisfied with my food here although when you come to this joint, it’s not exactly a place to go when you are on a diet. I recently found out that my colleague lives a few blocks away and she orders from here regularly for dinner. It’s her go to place to come. Maybe I’ll stop by for their dinner when I am around.
This place is really small, staff is nice, looks like a family run business. My GF I went with is Dominican and I am bilingual so ordering was no problem for me. They even threw in some free eggs for me to along with my meal since I’m clearly not Dominican and maybe they were charmed by my Spanish. Must try!

Love!!! Love!!! Love!!! Great food decent prices and staff is friendly. The steak is very juicy and tender. The salads are massive and even their juices are flavorful.

I love the food and the service. They have recently renovated so it’s super cute. A very family style restaurant. The space is kind of small but the service is fast so there is a lot of in and out of customers. They also deliver. I find that the delivery portions are huge, but with all the food they give you, half of the delivery portion woul dbe good. I also recomment the Natural Lemonade… FRESH SQUEEZED!!!

It’s nice little restaurant… your basic Dominican cuisine nothing more. Overall the food is really good. Customer service could be better.

Food is good, I like to order because they deliver and they are quick. Food is good, it taste like home cook food. Resturant it self is okay not up scale but good if you are tired and just want to stop and get some home food cooking.
Staff is nice, owner is very nice as well. Looks like a family place.

Polanco’s is a traditional Dominican restaurant.
The food feels very «home cooked», and the service is efficient. Nothing stellar. The interior is small, think a fast food asian spot, just hispanic. I haven’t tried out the menu extensively, but I can point out that they do lack variety in the appetizer category… no empanadas or pastellitos as they call it… not even qipe!!!
They got the Country Club at least!!! Always refreshing when downing rice beans and chicken… or the biste en cebollado.

This place has really good food but I just can’t get over the fact that it was graded C for the health inspection.
