Really good home made columbian food the corn empanadas were really good and the chicharrones were flavorful.

I went there before with a friend. The place is very tiny like a closet. No room to sit. The food was good. I called this morning for a delivery to my Job which was a block away. I was told the minimum for delivery was ten dollars. That’s too much when it’s a express little hole in the wall spot making breakfast I could make then we have to tip… nope. The sign on the place advertises Free Delivery. I called back and ask why are you asking for a minimum rate on delivery of food. Delivery clearly says free. False advertising fix that it’s very unprofessional.

I have never had a restaurant mess up my delivery order this bad and is after the fact that its happened twice before. I wake up starving, too lazy to cook myself a colombian breakfast, so I call for«A calentado, 2 empanadas, a chorizo, and a chicharron».no big deal… An hour and a fifteen later I call to find out wth happened my order only to get an answer from someone else besides the usual lady, he camt find my order so assumes its on it’s way. Another fifteen minutes later its still not here do I call back to the strangest answer of all, the delivery guy gave it to somebody outside and it was paid for meanwhile im in bed starving and waiting for a call. I was promised my order in the next 10 mminutes. After 15 minutes I get my meat, burned empanadas, and an order of ribs with white rice –_– so I call BACK!!! She apologizes and promises me my order for the 3rd time, after 2 minutes I get a call from her assuring me they sent out the right stuff. After denying it she has the audacity to ask for the wrong order back as proof! Not only can I cook the same thing I payed so expensive for and waited 2 hours for burned empanadas but I get attitude from the delivery guy as he runs off without listening to what I had to say! Never dealing with it again!

Very small place so I usually order to go. I really like their breakfast options. I also recommend the breaded chicken with rice and beans, and their burgers. Downside is that they have slow service on weekends and take forever to make a delivery.

If I could I’d give this place no stars. This food is so greasy and the lady in the front desk has the nastiest attitude. Never again.

I have to agree with the reviews before mine. I come here for one dish and one dish only. Calentado with chicken and scrambled eggs. With an occasional pony Malta if I feel like splurging. Doesn’t matter what time of day I go they’ll always make the plate. Food comes out fast, home like feel. The places doesn’t have a fancy atmosphere but that’s the best part. It’s a local spot that makes it exclusive for me since I’m close by. I love the fact that it opens so early I can get my favorite around 6−7am

Delicious Colombian empanadas! Thin crust and deep fried to perfection. There is only one type you can order– meat. Price: $ 1.25 each. Rated: 5⁄5. Tip: Don’t be confused by the awning which reads E Palacio Empanadas. Do expect to wait about 5+ minutes for them to fry the empanada. Need to know a little Spanish. Most of the workers only know Spanish. Parking can be painful.

Is this place still here? I used to run here for their fresh empanadas that I used to buy by the box full. They were always freshly fried, hot and crispy every time I ordered them. Maybe cause I bought like a dozen at a time. The hot sauce that I used to douse on it was awesome too. They had my favorite empanadas. Very tasty and basic. Not with frou-frou ingredients. Real homey type of colombian style empanadas. My fave!

Why this place is called Burger Express is beyond me because they seem to sell predominately Spanish food. Despite the business name I’ve never had a burger here but rather come for the Spanish food. I’ve had the rice, pork chops, beans and their empanadas which are pretty darn good. They have very limited seating so if it’s not crowded you should be comfortable. Although you don’t see a rest room, they do have one if you ask. This has been my «go to» spot for about 10 years now because the food is really good.
