First off I called to place a platter order and I could barely understand the woman that answered the phone due to her strong accent. I ordered a large platter and she had no plates to give me only parchment paper. I spent $ 60, would’ve been nice to have paper plates.

Just got back from getting dinner for the fam on National Sandwich Day from our neighborhood Subway. Got excellent service from Diana, so thought I’d give a review. Overall: Pros: small, usually empty, clean, well-run, hits the spot for when you don’t want to spend $ 15 on a sandwich from a nearby restaurant but still want something fresh Cons: parking can be difficult now that Pirozzi customers are using it too, turning into the lot from PCH can be sketchy since people like to drive fast, only a table or two to eat at inside, occasionally less-than-stellar customer service This time though I got helped by Diana, and she was great. While I was placing my three orders, she was polite, patient, and very efficient. A+!

Always ask and check the receipt. On numerous occasions I was intentionally overcharged by the older Spanish lady from the cash register. I think she is the manager?!

I feel kind of weird reviewing a chain, but I really like this Subway and go here A LOT! It’s walking distance from my work, and I visit here at least twice a week for lunch. I do the same thing every time: I order about half-an-hour ahead of time from the Subway app and pick up my lunch right at noon. This means I don’t have to wait in the line, I just walk right up to the cash register, and they hand me my food. In and out in 15 seconds! I always order the same thing — a 6″ or footlong Veggie Delight(although I did try the Flatizza yesterday and loved it). It’s made the same way every time, and always ready when I get there! They know me now and as soon as they see me walk in hand me my food with a smile. I really appreciate that because I only have 30 mins for lunch! It is a very small location and gets packed at lunch, but the line seems to move fast and efficiently. I did have to wait in line once because my order didn’t go through on the app, and there were at least 4 people on the assembly line and I was in and out in 5 mins. They have a few tables for seating indoors, and a few tables outside as well. I don’t have to deal with parking, but I can see it being a little tricky during lunch hours, but that’s pretty typical for anywhere in CDM, amiright?! They are located in the shopping center that used to have a Sprint store and the Coffee Bean, just down the hill a few steps from Mayur and the Port Theater.

This is a very clean, but somewhat tucked away subway franchise. Other than KFC next door, and Baja Fresh right across the street, there are no other fast food options in Corona Del Mar.(And, as a local, I think that is a good thing). This is small, only having some two or three tables inside and another two or three outside. The restaurant is almost always empty except for a lunch rush. So finding a place to sit, despite the low seating, is not a problem. The staff here always seem unfriendly, and kind of glare at you when you walk in, like you are a bother — that’s happened enough times to be noticeable. I guess they’d rather be mopping the floor, or otherwise cleaning surfaces than having customers. The other con is the lack of parking spots in this tiny, tiny parking lot. The bottom line: Clean, unfriendly, hard to find parking, but delicious and fully up to Subway’s standards.

Today I ordered the Italian BMT, pepperoni, salami, ham and cheese, toasted on whole wheat. So bad for me that I’m only allowed to come here once a month. I have no control. I never order a salad. It’s always the Italian BMT full of fat and nitrates and whatever else makes my esophagus burn at night. No, I do not know what BMT stands for. Makes zero sense to me too. I like Subway. This location is clean which is really all you can ask for from a Subway franchise.
