Tequilas Mexican Grill

My husband and I finally tried this place! We just moved to the area and are glad we have this restaurant close. My only complaint was the waitress taking our order did not understand how to read our ID’s when we ordered some beers, so she had another employee come out and read them. But she understood our order of tacos with rice and beans? We blew it off because she was friendly and the food was great.
My husband and I really enjoyed the authentic flavor and the corn tortillas were on par!
We will be coming back!

The sign outside says open under new management and is now called Mi Casita Taqueria. It’s a tiny mom and pop Mexican place. The area is heavily Mexican, so I stopped because I wanted to try «real» Mexican food, not Americanized stuff like Chevys (which isn’t bad).
I gave it a 4 because I think they deserve it. We ordered the meal with cheese enchiladas with steak, we also got quesadillas. The cheese is a white Mexican type that has a unique flavor, and the food had a spicy twang about it. We also got the Mexican Coca Cola, which was neat. The place looked clean and from the pay counter I could see into the kitchen and it was clean, so I felt good about that. I don’t know enough about «real» Mexican food to critique it any further, but I thought they had fair prices for what we got.

This place has new owners now so in not sure it’s even called tequilas any, ore but I’m going to review anyway. The fam has gotten take out here on a number of occasions and the food is wonderful — great prices, good portions and quality/​authenticity is on the mark. I am hooked on the sopes and the gorditas — adicting! The one downside we have had with this place is our to orders being messed up. We do our best but our Spanish is weak and the man that they had answering the phone spoke nearly no English. That would be my main feedback if they are looking to get a diverse clientele.

The Chile Relleno was great as were the corn tortillas! We will definitely come back when we are out this way!

The place may not be much to look at, but don’t let the outside fool you. This place has absolutely amazing food, and the flavors are not muted or muddied. Instead it tastes like what it is, which is fresh food prepared to order. There is spice to the food, but it enhances the flavors rather than overpowering them. This may have been my first time here, but it sure won’t be my last time. What an inexpensive and delicious way to feed my family.

It doesn’t get better!
