Our first time here and it was pretty good. We had 6 different tacos and 4 were great, but 2 were not so good. Quesadilla for the kiddos was really good. Everything was a little greasy: chips, quesadilla and a few tacos. The chips and queso were just okay.

Kind of an odd place, but not without its good qualities. The menu is hard to read and everything is overpriced. We were not given a receipt and were not asked for a signature. However the meal came out quickly and I did enjoy my food. The cheese enchiladas were excellent. The refried beans are a little different… kind of charred-tasting. I liked them; my husband didn’t. He said they tasted like coffee, which he hates. There are no free chips… however the cashier(owner?) came up to our friend and placed a(very) small portion of chips on his tray and said«Shhh…don’t tell.» Lol? Strange. My one complaint about my food was the lettuce, which was shredded romaine. Don’t try to be fancy with the lettuce. Shredded iceberg is preferable/fine and there are more important areas to worry about.

Great menu, give yourself time to review, don’t be in a hurry! We shared the 6 taco sampler — beef, chicken and pork. Omg we were so pleased by all of them. The sauce on the chicken, I want to put it on everything. The charro beans were tasty, chips and salsa were delicious. Give them a try. We need to keep the businesses alive in Corinth! Find a au o get through all the construction!

Wow! They are what they say, gourmet tacos. So many choices and varieties of gourmet tacos. You can even build your own if you want. The recipes are like home cooking. They even have breakfast tacos any time of the day. They are more than tacos too. They have enchiladas, burritos. But if it’s your first visit I recommend doing a gourmet taco sampler. You can sample 5 taco versions or more. We loved the Pollo Loco-it is fried chicken breast strips, white cheddar, sour cream, green chilies, lettuce & tomato. Yumm! If you want spicy they can hook you up that way too. As a bonus, the staff and the owner want your experience to be awesome so customer service is outstanding. It’s a great hole in the wall place to eat! So glad we found it. We will be back for sure.

This is the place to go when you want good Mexican food. The menu is expansive and everything on the menu is great. You like it hot? get the El Diablo. You like it hotter? Get the Flameado’s. Get you a skillet and bump it up to fajita set up. The salsa? Just mainline that straight into my system. This was originally just a taco joint, now they have burritos and enchiladas. Had me a chicken burrito tonight, Had to take half of it home. Now that I have completed bashing the food, let me complain about the service. They are attentive to everything. It’s really nice to see. The prices are fair. It is higher than the commercial conveyer belt of fast food garbage that you can get elsewhere. However, the food and service make it well worth it. I am what most would consider a very cheap person and I have no problem spending my money once a week at this place. Keep it up guys!!!

Simple concept, similar to Fuzzy’s but family owned with much better service. The food and service were EXCELLENT, and we’ll be back. Food: Delicious! All four of us had the taco samplers with various types of tacos, and all were good. The swirls were pretty good, too. Service: Awesome. Devon pretty much had the menu memorized and checked on us often. My one suggestion is to time the delivery of food better; the four of us received our food sequentially with a couple of minutes in between. Atmosphere: meh, but the food and service make up for it. But on a Tuesday night, who cares about atmosphere?!

The menu online is probably what kept us from visiting this place earlier. It does not say that you get rice & beans with a purchase of two food items. They do offer more than just street tacos so I’m excited to go back and try more. But, let’s get started. We were the only customers in the restaurant when we stopped by for lunch. The person helping us was over eager about going through the menu but we stopped that pretty quickly. It is counter service but Devon saw to it that he brought our food and ensured drink refills were taken care of. So, that’s nice. We started with chips & queso. I usually do not like queso but the white queso was very nice, great flavor but could have been warmer. The salsa was okay once we added salt but the«Liquid Fire» with roasted Habanero did not have much heat at all. It was definitely fresh and maybe the peppers weren’t packing heat– hard to tell sometimes when working with quality ingredients! I’d probably skip ordering extra salsa. Jason got a chicken burrito. It was huge but too much rice he said. I tried a 3 taco sampler, for the sampler, the tacos are smaller but it is perfect to get a taste of the possible combinations. I could only really eat one taco on a flour tortilla — so filling but gutted the rest of them. This came with rice and beans. I LOVED the rice, very well seasoned and I LOVED the refried beans! The beans reminded me of our visit to Playa del Carmen and can be used for a chip dip too. Now, let’s get to the tacos. I got a Mia Maya’s(fried avocado), Pescado Pete(fried tilapia) and an El Diablo(grilled chicken). The Mia was excellent and topped with a homemade Ranch. The Pescado was very good too and I loved the flavorful Ancho sauce — that reminded me of New Mexico. The El Diablo was not spicy at all, taking out jalapeño seeds just makes it a normal pepper. But I liked the quality of the ingredients for sure. I’m already staking out the menu for our next visit — and you can get any taco as a tostada as well! I’m dying to try the Iggy’s Tropicana — a dessert taco?! What, what?! The construction situation is really making a damper on this new location which is sad. I think it would be perfect for after soccer or baseball practice. There’s plenty of room, the food is good and there is a solitary TV. The drink refills are free too. So, give it a try! Definitely better than Taco Hell or another chain down the road.

Winner, winner! Chicken burrito dinner! We had seen this place but never went in. I thought all they had were street tacos. But when we walked up they had a sign out to try their burritos or enchiladas. We had an excite. The good… We started with chips and queso. The server assured us that everything was made on site expect the tortillas, but they were homemade especially for the restaurant. The chips were nothing special, just normal tortilla chips. But the queso was really good. I had the fajita chicken burrito smothered in queso and topped with pico. It had fresh jalapenos and grilled onions and full of cheese. The fajita chicken was really good. Smoky and tender with just a little char for crispness. I would order this again. I think Molly is going to Unilocal about this one so I’ll let her talk about her taco sampler.(Spoiler alert: She loved it) The bad… The salsa was not good. It needed salt, garlic, cilantro and onion. It was very bland. It needed a lot of something. We asked for a side of their«liquid fire» sauce. We were told it was made with fresh habañeros but it had zero heat to me. Really good flavor, but if you’re going to call something«liquid fire» ya gotta expect the people who really like spicy are going to be the ones that order it. For all the good about the chicken burrito it did have a couple of small issues. There was too much jalapeño in it, mostly because they removed all the seeds so I was only getting too much the jalapeño flavor and no heat. Also, there was too much rice. The rice was good but it felt like they were trying to fill up the burrito with rice to make it bigger than it needed to be. To be honest I’m nit picking because the flavor was good. But if you’re charging $ 9 for a burrito I want a lot of chicken and not feel like I’m buying $ 7 worth of rice. Finally, and this is a big one, their menu is not informative of the food. They spent so much time coming up with cute cartoons to depict each gourmet taco they didn’t include room on the signage for facts you need to know. For instance, if you order any two items you get rice and beans. That may seem like a no brainer, but if you don’t know that and you see the price of one taco is $ 4 you get the impression this place is expensive. To make up for the menu’s confusion they have Devon. Devon tried to explain every item on the menu, literally starting at the top left, announcing«Appetizers!» and working his way down, and the parts that were left off. I am not a big fan of having a menu and the finer details read off to me while I’m standing in line. Especially after a few adult beverages the night before that are reminding me why I thought I needed a big Mexican meal to begin with. The service there is good but almost too concerned with how you’re doing. We felt like they don’t get enough people in so anyone is going to get too much attention. That being said, the food is great, they have beer, wine, margaritas and sangria. We will definitely be back mostly because each of the good items did have a depth of flavor. I’m giving it 4 stars for the food but would give 2.5 stars for the«experience». Give them some business. With the 35Express construction nightmare I bet they need it.

Disappointed that it’s not a sit down Mexican restaurant. Food quantity and taste is good. I’d give it a better rating, but the food is always just luke warm. No atmosphere to speak of…

This place is definitely a pleasant surprise! You order at the counter and then it’s full service from there on out. The guy working the corner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. I can’t remember the name of the tacos I ordered, but they had steak and mushrooms in them. I went with the corn tortillas, I think this is one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The rice was perfectly seasons and was hot, fresh and moist. I will definitely be back!!!

If you have ever had Torchy’s Tacos the menu resembles it and the food quality is just as great! Corinth needed a good restaurant like this one.

Thought we’d try something new. Looked good from the outside. Then we went in. Big menu board that’s hard to read, buy all your stuff up front, take a number, get your own drinks and then go sit in the very lackluster dining area. One of the photo’s below shows it well, banquet chairs, cheap tables, shabby looking drink/silverware station and industrial size rolls of paper towels on the table that go in a big dispenser on the wall. I know they were paper towels but all I could think of was the big toilet paper rolls. An obnoxiously white wall behind the shabby station with a TV hung up at the top like a glaring afterthought. TV volume was apparently off with Loud Tejano music — really? The whole order up front, pay(and they wanted a tip right then), then go serve yourself for drinks, get your own utensils, etc. — HATEIT! If you wanted multiple drinks I assume you have to keep going back up front and ordering/paying for them each time. No open bar tab from what I could tell. You’re advertising Gourmet Tacos, c’mon be a gourmet place! They got the order wrong, some of the tacos were OK, the Los Cabos was SO greasy it could not be eaten — just gross. Chips/Salsa cost extra and were mediocre. The extra sauces with the extra charge, NOT worth it. Seriously, they must just come out of a jar/can. ½ dozen tacos, chips and salsa, two extra sauces, two waters — $ 23+ !!! Got me once. No reason to ever go back! Funny, looking at the extra review questions at the bottom here, i.e. Good for groups, good for kids, etc. Sorry, not good for anyone. :-(

My girlfriend and I ate here for the first time on Saturday after we drove past and thought it looked good! We had no idea what to order once we walked in and the lady at the front counter was very helpful. She explained all of the taco’s and the other items on the menu. We ordered the 6 taco sampler. All 6 were amazing! They aren’t just normal taco’s. They all had amazing flavor. The salsa and chips were good as well. The only thing I would say wasn’t the best was the rice. I am a rice LOVER and eat it all the time. It didn’t have the«Mexican» flavor/consistency I like. The beans were pretty good as well. Next time we go, we will be trying the guacamole and queso.

I was a little hesitant to come here because I didn’t see many gluten-free veggie options on the menu, but I was pleasantly surprised! I also expected it to taste like fast food, since that’s the vibe I got walking in. There is a large sign at the counter with the menu and you place your order before you sit down. I told the lady who took my order that I was vegan and gluten intolerant, and she was extremely helpful! She told me I could replace any flour tortillas with corn, that some of the sauces and the rice were unsafe, and that I could replace the fried avocado with regular avocado. I was surprised with the tacos came out looking fresher than ever, with a delicious tomatillo sauce. I ended up with poblano tacos(Mia Maya Veggie) that had fresh lettuce and tomatoes.(No stray cheese, unlike Fuzzy’s…) Since I couldn’t get the rice, she gave me complimentary chips and salsa instead, which was delicious! She was very knowledgeable and helpful with restrictions. Thankful that we tried this place! I’ll be back.

The tacos are solid, though you have to pay extra for the hot sauce of which there are various and interesting options. The most interesting being Habanero and Balsamic unfortunately that is also the spiciest so not the one for me. I had a Los Cabos taco which came packed with steak, grilled onions, avocado, grilled peppers and feta! It was pretty good and certainly seemed fresh. The stars have to be reduced for no complimentary chips and salsa though. Why else would I go to a Mexican restaurant besides complimentary chips and salsa???

My review is going to be very detailed in the hopes that the restaurant sees these reviews and takes them into consideration. We like to support local when we can and the concept of this place has a lot of potential. My family and I walked in around 7pm a few nights ago. My initial reaction was that the«wait to order» space(you order at the counter when you walk in, take a number, sit and wait for your food) was really small. I agree with another review that said the restaurant will run into a problem if a lot of people come in, as it was pretty crowded with two other small groups in front of us and there’s really nowhere else to go besides wait outside the door. The guy who greeted us was friendly, but whatever method they’re using on their computer to take orders is very inefficient. We had to wait between saying which taco we wanted for him to put it in the computer. We ordered the chips, salsa, queso, and a variety of six tacos. The menu says you can choose between flour, white, or yellow corn tortillas. When I asked for white corn he said«just a minute, I’ll need to write that down for them». I told him never mind, because it seemed like a hassle if he had to write it down separately for the kitchen. Also, the receipt needs a line to write a tip amount! There wasn’t one. We got our own drinks and sat down. The ambiance is seriously lacking. There isn’t much in the way of décor and the fact that there was Mexican music AND a loud tv was just weird. I personally feel tvs are out of place in a restaurant unless they’re for sports watching in a bar area(there is no bar area here). The white queso tasted good and was presented nicely with fresh cilantro and a sprinkling of spices. It quickly congealed, however, and I realized it was that processed cheese loaf we all know well. If I go to a Mexican restaurant, I want real cheese, not cheese loaf product. Chips were good, not greasy, and the salsa tasted fresh and had a slight smoky flavor. The girl who brought it was very friendly. Our food came pretty quickly. I ordered a steak taco, shrimp taco, and grilled chicken taco. I liked how each taco comes on a metal stand for a nicer presentation. However, I had to pull out a piece of fat from my steak taco. Shrimp was seasoned well. Overall the tacos were just okay, but they really need to season each individual ingredient a lot better. I felt each taco sort of tasted the same even though they were different. The chicken taco had way too much lettuce on top. Overall, for the price I paid, my food was adequate. I hope the restaurant finds this review helpful and takes some tweaks into consideration. We would love another local restaurant to support!

Tried 3 tacos and each one was better than the last. Definitely do the sample platter. Salsa was fantastic, too. Served in a standard swimming pool size dish. Kinda wish they didn’t play murder mystery shows on the TV though(TV was just on CBS, which had some weird stuff on). But really good tacos.
