Ugh, what a disappointment. I always go to Cracker Barrel on road trips, so when I found myself on highway 72, I was happy to see this location. It didn’t last long, though. The service was appalling. My waitress wouldn’t let me substitute a side item(I’m talking a hash brown casserole, not four strips of bacon or something) for eggs, even though every other Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to has had no problem with this. She wouldn’t even ask the manager if it was okay, just since she’d never had anyone ask before, it therefore couldn’t be done(her words, not mine). Wow. So I ended up paying $ 5 more for the same food by ordering everything separately. I could even forgive that, but just… every time my waitress came to check on me(a total of one time after I got my food) she almost acted like I was overstaying my welcome. I was by myself, they weren’t slammed, and I wasn’t parking myself at the table for two hours. I was still eating and she was trying to get me to leave. It clearly seemed to be just because I wasn’t a regular, because she was completely different with the table adjacent to me. She’d stop and talk to them and generally acted like she was glad they were there. The food was great as it always is at any location, but the service completely put me off of ever wanting to go there again. Total disappointment.

On a positive note the food was delicious! The service was very fast and our food was hot! We have been to many better and this one was by far the best! I usually dislike the fries but today they were cooked to perfection! I wish to eat at this one again on one of my many trips. I hope everyone will be as pleased with their food as my family and I was. On the down side the waits didn’t check on us as often as they should have. Also I got the chicken tenders and asked for ranch with them, but when they gave me my food with the ranch it was almost EMPTY like someone had used it! My father wanted Thousand Island for his salad but they got confused and brought him ranch. It took about 6 minutes and he still had not got it so we got a waiter to get him some. Finial after 10 more minutes 2 people brought him some(neither was our waiter). After we finished it took our waiter another 6 minutes to come to our table after we summoned her. I think the good was good but the staff could be quicker and more attentive. We all used the bathroom and they were very clean, nice, and updated! The only other complaint I had was there was a toy dog that would not shut up it was driving me crazy!!!

Ubiquitous is the word that comes to mind when I think about Cracker Barrel being in Corinth– now they’re everywhere! Formerly only found on Interstate highways, the intersection of Hwy 72 and 45 is a welcome addition for travelers who may spend a little extra time and find some of the other good breakfast spots around Corinth. On a cold winter day, the fireplace in the center of the dining room and all the clutter on the walls certainly sets the atmosphere of an old country store. The food is nothing exceptional but reasonably consistent and I do have some favorites here. My wife and I first stopped at a Cracker Barrel in Lebanon, TN, in the early 1970’s traveling from Corinth to Washington, DC, via Nashville and Knoxville. We’ve since stopped frequently at other locations when traveling all over the United States. Their sausage on the breakfast menu has a very distinctive smoked flavor, which I believe came from Early’s Honey stand in Spring Hill, Tennessee originally. The sausage today has the same distinctive flavor but I do not know from where it is sourced. After 40 years I’ve settled on the same item on the menu– the Sunrise Sampler which brings a bit of all their smoked meats– bacon, sausage and country ham as well as their fried apples which are always good, eggs, grits, hashbrown casserole, biscuits, jams and jellies. Their white gravy has never been appealing to me, but they offer brown gravy now on request. Their biscuits don’t come close to Terri’s at Abe’s but they are pretty good. A welcome addition to Corinth and open on Saturdays and Sundays while many local breakfast spots are not.

A very good addition to the community! Excellent food and very nice staff! I expect Cracker Barrel to be equally good across the country! The pleasant variable today was the wonderful staff! Thank you

#100 When it first opened there were 3 people waiting on each table, within a couple months there were random people waiting on you and now it can take up to 10 minutes to get your drink order placed. Regardless, all the waitstaff are consistently polite and friendly. The food, as with most places in town, is hit or miss. One night food tastes great and it is served hot, but the very next night it can be bland, cold and even under cooked. We’ve eaten here several times and there has been one constant, the vegetables(steamed broccoli, mixed vegetable medley and carrots) have been served under cooked, cold and tasteless. We’ve just adapted by simply not ordering them, even though I truly enjoy eating broccoli. We have Cracker Barrel out of our system for a few months. Sometimes taking a hiatus from places is the best call. When the quality drops to the point of angering you, just walk away for a while. We mostly ate breakfast dishes when they first opened and it was great and then quality dropped. We gave them a break and over time tried a variety of main dinner dishes. Vegetables were always crunchy and bland. The fried fish and shrimp are pretty good, hushpuppies not so much(old oil). So, we took another multi-month break and returned two nights back to back this week(9−18−15), and had a great meal experience on night #1, everything tasted great(ordered veg medley though and it was under cooked and bland). Night #2 disappointed as the liver dinner was bland, broccoli was nearly raw had it swapped for potatoes and gravy, fries were under cooked and had a very off putting rancid oil taste. Yeah, we’ve had our fill of Cracker Barrel for a good long time. Maybe, when we decide to return, there will have been some changes made in the food prep. Update: 12−26−15 we hadn’t been back in over 3 months and this will be our last visit. Constant AC blowing on the table, food served cold and just got colder, bacon was over cooked on one end and practically raw on the other end, sausage flavor is repulsive and the gravy is tainted with that sausage taste. Certainly NOT worth the OVERINFLATED prices. The steak in the breakfast skillet dish was tough, chewy and flavorless.
