This is a great little deli to pick up lunch if you are in the area. It is less than a mile from my home and I have seen it continuously on my Unilocal list and finally decided to go. It is in inside the Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab off of Walnut grove near Forest Hill Irene. It is definitely a place the patients eat with the family members during visitation.
I ordered the meat loaf that was soaked in a hearty slightly sweet tomato gravy – delicious! The green beans were really good and the mashed potatoes were really thick like I prefer and a rich buttery taste like granny’s! I also had a slice of apple pie that was really good with slight firm apples and a doughy crust that was great. I will return for another Sunday special soon.
