I had the BBQ nachos and they were fire!(really good) My wife and I always like to finish up with the world famous deep dish cookie topped with vanilla ice cream… Smh man I love that cookie LOL

It is a decent place to grab lunch. I had the burger cooked medium. I was expecting a burger made from scratch. This was a pattie, it was okay but I had much better in Memphis, the fries were good. I think I might try something else on the menu and give them a second shot in the future

Came in for an early dinner with friends. The décor was interesting but the room we were seated in seemed cramped. The place was clean and there were no overwhelming odors. We were immediately seated and our drink orders taken. It was getting crowded so I expected a delay on our food order getting out — it came out in a reasonable amount of time and was nice and hot including the fries. My mushroom Swiss burger was cooked perfectly but I could not find 3 different mushrooms on it — only saw sliced canned mushrooms. Despite the lack of portobello mushrooms, the burger was tasty. After our entrée, we got the deep dish cookie ala mode. It was very rich and tasty although the interior was still a little doughy. Note: Seating was a little hard on the derrière — I sat on my coat which helped(I am more sensitive to this after loosing 70 pounds lol).

Great burgers, great fries, cool place, lots of choices. Finally tried it for lunch Friday thanks to Unilocal friends. The menu selection is huge, the place is really nice, and I heard a table near me bragging how great the skillet cookie is. I was there for one thing; a good burger. It was hard deciding with so many choices offered, but I settled my decision on the holy smoke. I love spicy, and while a bit mild for me, this certainly had a lot of different flavors going on. There were breaded deep fried jalapenos, which I tried to copy on my own stovetop. Theirs were better! The peppers were pickled and then fried, which cause the heat to be absorbed away. The hot sauce wasn’t your typical Tabasco, it seemed like heat without an overbearing flavor which didn’t take away the wonderful flavor from the beef. Of course pepper Jack cheese is always a must. The meat was very flavorful and just the right amount of juices without ruining the bun. The waitress offered a wonderful suggestion, and asked if I wanted bacon. Well, yes I do. The bacon was thick, not too fatty, and just right. The best part was that this burger was not sloppy. It was not overloaded, and it was durable enough to stay intact till the very end. The fries are just plain old fresh cut potatoes. Sometimes the simple things in life are always the best. Throughout history, the potato has often been the difference between life and death. We like to slice them and fry them in oil, and then dip in ketchup. So simple, yet so perfect. There was a huge pile of them on my plate. They have huge burgers and offer them for free if you can complete their challenges. What I liked about it is that you can share the challenge with a group rather than all by yourself. There are no pictures on the wall of fame, but there have been plenty of unsuccessful attempts. Competitive eating contests are not for me. I failed to finish just my lunch portion! The pricing wasn’t cheap, nor expensive. I felt the price was fair for the quality. I always complain when I spend $ 2.30 for tea, but I figure this was offset by the bacon add on being $.99 which is more than fair. Five stars all the way in every category based on one lunch experience.

What can I say about this place… Yes oh the drinks are huge and affordable, water down to others but I enjoyed my maid of the most drink very much. The food was okay. There wasn’t anything special about my burger and I did not like my sweet potato fries at all. I plan to go back to try their dessert though as I heard many good things about it and for more drinks!

Hands down one of my FAVORITE wedge salads! It comes with a a half of a lettuce head(not just a wedge) with this creamy blue cheese that mixes with balsamic vinaigrette. The dressing alone would make any salad yummy! And the grilled chicken that tops it is always cooked right with well blended spices. For $ 10, I can eat this salad for 2 days because the portion is incredibly large. Service has been there, but not fabulous the past few times I’ve gone, probably due to the fact that we are normally a late night crowd. Oh– and when the ask if you want a large beer, it’s as big as they come!

…I really wanted to like this place… it just missed the mark. Came in on a Friday around 5 or 6 with a party of 8. We were seated quickly. It was only 3 other tables there at this time. We had 4 children with us and the level of noise was accommodating for that many kids. So, it’s a good restaurant for families. Our waitress was nice. She got our drink orders fast and brought the drinks fast. We ordered the sampler appetizer and picked buffalo chicken, fried green tomatoes and pickles. The appetizer was really good with three exception of the tomatoes being a bit soggy. Also, the buffalo chicken was breaded with what seemed like cornmeal which was just a little strange. I ordered the bbq nachos as my meal, my mom ordered a turkey burger, my bf ordered the waffle monte Cristo and my sister ordered the restaurants version of a gyro(donair poutine) Bbq nachos had pulled pork, baked beans, cilantro sour cream, shredded cheese, jalapeños and tomatoes– sounds delicious right? No. It tasted like bbq sauce. That was the only flavor I could pick up. They were stingy with the toppings and it was served cold! Like it had been sitting in the window waiting to be picked up. Monte Cristo waffle — it was basically big waffle triangles with deli meat and cheese in between them. It came with syrup. I’m used to a fried monte Cristo anyway so this was different. It was more like a waffle club sandwich. My bf said the waffles were gummy. And he didn’t finish his food. Which never happens. Turkey burger– mom said it was really dry Gyro — my sister said that the sauce that comes with it was weirdly sweet. She also said the gyro meat reminded her of dry ground beef. I ordered a deep dish cookie to go. It came with ice cream. Ice cream was delicious, cookie definitely wasnt. I think I may try it again and just get a burger. This visit was pretty bad.

This place is always consistent. Decent place to bring a large family or group. The food is always served in large portion and quite palatable. It’s your fault if you go home hungry. As for the ambiance, it is upbeat and just a little noisy in a good way. It is also wallet friendly with a good service. Try the poutine if you like French fries, cheese curd and brown gravy. I hate to think about the calories but it is very addicting.

Love the spacious dining, the patio, and bar. Quite good service. Amazing drink portions for the price. Aaaand the BURGERS! I got the Memphis Best Burger and got that kinda orgasmic feeling from the sauce, runny egg, creamy avocado, salty cheese, buttery bun, and well seasoned beef patty. I am so against eating a burger with a fork and knife. Who is that hoity toity? Just buck up and let the juices run down your face and hands! Well this is the one exception. I would have had sauce and juice all down my arms and on my lap and probably down to my feet had I not used a fork. I felt like a burger traitor. But it was SOGOOD!!! The only thing I would change is to grill that beef. I liked the crispy skin on super salty fries. I was in awe of all the other menu items I need to come back and try.

I loved how it looks on the inside, I use to work at the Southern Hands before it became Kooky’s. The appearance was nice and so were the staff. We sat in the bar area at a cocktail table. The bartender was great and read his customers well. The burgers were amaaaaaazing! Try the Canadian burger or make your own! It was a satisfying lunch.

I love the new Kooky Canuck! Shawn is the most thoughtful restaurant owner out there. He is fun and friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. The burgers are the best I’ve ever– way better than Huey’s. The RIBEYES are huge and the prime rib is the best. The skillet cookie is one of the best deserts in Memphis. I’ve been coming to Kooky Canuck since it was the Bigfoot lodge, and now that they are in cordova, it’s even easier to enjoy it being so much closer. Keep it up guys! I love the affordable lunch menu too!

Finally was able to visit this place after bookmarking it some 5 months ago. The place looks pretty cool on the inside but I came for the food not for the looks. I got the Memphis Best burger and my girl got the Mushroom Swiss burger. Both burgers came with fries and by God they give you fries, lots of fries. My burger was pretty good, not the best I’ve had but not the worst either. Thing was too big to pick up without everything falling off. My girl said her burger was good though. It’s a toss up if I come back but if I do, it’ll be for dessert because those desserts they had looked so damn good.

Awesome! awesome! The best way we can describe it. The food our waiter“Matt“commended fits perfectly with our diet.(*macro*). Gyro Is way to go! DELICIOUSSS… He was also very knowledgeable and friendly which is always a plus when you’re trying a new restaurant. He was patient with us too(Trust me, we take our time because we calculate what we eat) I have to say The venues layout was well planned too. The ambiance was relaxing!!! The next time we come back. We will try the burgers promise! Lol. I hope the owner reads this — i would like to request to add calorie count on your website!!! :)

Great desserts. Had the cookie and bread pudding — ordered to go. See pics. The cookie was HUGE — soft and warm. Enough for four people to eat from. Bread pudding was good — could have used some more spice and even nuts. And even better if served with ice cream. Only 2 stars because I waited for over 35 minutes for two desserts. When I reminded the bar tender about my order she said«we make them to order that’s why it takes so long»…SO if I were dining in and wanted dessert it would be another 35 minutes… I. don’t .think…so. I have worked in the biz and know you can’t survive with a slow table turn over like that. And I HOPEALLFOOD is made to order! A cookie takes 10 to 12 minutes to bake — it’s not like they were back there rolling out the dough or slicing the bread for the bread pudding. Waiting over 30 minutes for two desserts is not something I will ever do here again, especially when the staff think this is completely reasonable. No thanks — I will bake a cookie at home.

The first time I went to Kooky was the first week it opened in Cordova. Bad idea. So I waited and I’m glad I did. Great service and great food. The poutine was super but my burger was the main event. I had the Yonge Street burger. I added a fried egg and cheddar instead of American cheese. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. That is all.

Great food, with large servings, Very friendly service, and big ass beers and drinks. What more could you want? The burgers are awesome and the poutine is sooo good. Had the prime rib, 16oz, serving tonight. It was very good but a bit salty. My sides were steamed veggies and green beans. The steamed veggies are steamed veggies… Not much to say except they were nice and crisp. The green beans were very good, fresh and crunchy. My wife had the chopped chef salad and she said it was very good. The kids had the chicken fingers kids meal and the pizza kids meal. The kids meals are huge! Both came with a large serving of fries and a big rice crispy marshmallow square! My wife had her favorite drink here, the Canadian Sunset, which is very tasty and huge!!! 34oz!!! I had two big 34oz Labatt Blues… Which is awesome!!!

First time at this location and I have to say, I was a little disappointed. You just don’t get that same vibe that the downtown location has. The place is huge and when I was there, they were using up every inch of it. The place was packed and I have a feeling that it probably stays that way on the weekends. I had the black and blue burger and it was just ok, definitely nothing to write home about. The service was slow and the whole place just seemed like a disorganized mess.

The service here is great. The food is great, too. I got the maple bacon burger. So amazing. Any place that makes candied bacon is an automatic win in my book. The fries are also really good. The monte cristo is also very good. It’s not something everyone has so it’s a neat bonus, plus it comes on a bacon waffle. Awesome. Another bonus is the dessert, they have s’mores. Not too fancy but I love s’mores and have to get them any time I see them on the menu somewhere. There’s also several dessert skillets like brownies and bread pudding that look amazing. I could easily come here and just get a couple desserts, skip the sandwiches entirely. The one bummer is despite the place’s casual vibe, it doesn’t really encourage you to stick around. There’s no booths and the chairs are a bit uncomfortable after 30 minutes. It’s a shame because between the décor, the fireplace, and the good food it’s definitely the kind of environment where you could relax.

Good service. The food is just as good as original. It is in Cordova which is nice for us Germantown folk. The atmosphere is great. I love the wood everywhere. I recommend checking this place out. Plus they have a patio.

I had a really good experience here. I got the Maple Bacon burger and my wife got the Memphis burger. While I didn’t care for the avocado on their Memphis burger, I wolfed down the Maple Bacon burger and sweet potato fries because we were in a hurry, and man was it good! Put between two thick-cut toast slices reminiscent of french toast, with bacon, cheese and a maple aioli, it had a well-cooked and delicious hamburger as well. It was like a dream I never knew I had of eating breakfast on a hamburger. Service was good, even though it was crowded, and the waitress was able to get us in and out within 45 minutes since we were in a rush. Definitely will be back to try more!
