AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I know Ethan Allen has beautiful furniture but this location is plagued with issues. It has been more than four months and we still have not received our furniture. We’ve selected, and reselected, fabric multiple times because the fabric in their showroom is not current(either out of stock, discontinued or on hold due to quality issues with the manufacturer) yet they continue to «sell» fabric options that are not available. Each time I called to check the order status I was given a different answer. I asked to cancel the order and was told there is a 15% restocking fee. I have NOCLUE what needs to be restocked since my items don’t even exist yet. For the price of their items they need to provide stellar service. Unfortunately, they don’t. Save yourself some frustration and money and go elsewhere. Buying furniture should never be this difficult.

My love of Ethan Allen started early on, when I was just a wee little one. My mother had an Ethan Allen catalog. In fact, she had the same Ethan Allen catalog for about 10 years. It sat in our magazine rack– on the bottom of course. I used to pull it out and stare at the giant purple couch on the front. Surrounded by this beautifully decorated room with abstract paintings, a big, fluffy area rug and the most amazing lamps I had ever laid eyes on. If I could start from scratch, throw everything I own furniture and decoration wise away, I would start all over with Ethan Allen. That is, of course, if I won the lottery. The sheer thought of being able to just waltz into an Ethan Allen and buy whatever my little heart desires gives me goosebumps. This place has to be a designers dream. What I love even more about Ethan Allen as I get older is the amount of detail they put into everything they sell. Gorgeous fabrics and the most amazing accents on the arms and leg of their chairs and sofas. I feel that all their pieces work together. Like I could walk in and design the most eclectic, yet gorgeous room in which none of the pieces match, but they all tell a story and tie the room together beautifully. Of course, Ethan allows you to choose your own fabrics and mix and match different details they have. I can’t pinpoint what style they are because it runs the gamut from old Hollywood to shabby chic. I wandered into this location as soon as I learned of its existence. I walked around slowly and looked at all the pieces imagining what my new house would look like decked to the nines with these pieces. The staff was very friendly, but since it is an upscale store they had a good idea I wasn’t going to be purchasing anything. I think their sales folks may even be designers themselves. If not, they had a really good eye for decorating. I almost felt guilty for walking in, but then I thought– hey whatever! I may someday actually purchase something from here. You never know. And with that, I’ll continue to dream of my Ethan Allen designed home.
