We just moved to the neighborhood and Danver’s is easy to pickup a quick meal for dinner. So far we have just used drive thru so this will not reflect the interior of the store. I have enjoyed both their roast beef sandwiches and their burgers. I like the onion straws as a side(they have several sides including veggies) but usually get a baked potato. I just tried the clam chowder and found it pretty decent although a little salty. The French dip sandwich(currently a special) was very tasty — au jus was some of the best I’ve had — not too salty. My wife got the chicken finger salad last time and really liked it. The salad was fresh and included a whole hard boiled egg. The chicken fingers came in a separate container and remained crisp, moist and hot through out her meal(she pulled one at a time onto her salad) I do plan to check out their breakfast — my son says it is excellent. I will go inside on my next visit and check out the digs — my review could be updated then.

Have frequented this location many times but the last two times were very disappointing. Thought I would give it one more try. Have always thought that Danvers had the best salad bar selections and has been my favorite for a number of years. This time, like the last, the salad bar lettuce was frozen and wilted, the imitation crab salad was tough and the cucumbers were frozen and mushy. At 6:30pm the entire salad bar seemed to be old and in the need to be changed out with fresh food. This location is not consistent with the Hacks Cross Rd location in Olive Branch, MS, which for lunch, is very good. I will probably not return to this location for a very long time. I have been a faithful Danvers customer since the ’70’s. This is not indicative of the type of food quality that Janet and John are capable of serving. Truly disappointed again…

Slowest drive thru on planet earth… seriously like a 20 wait every time. Food is good, just slow as heck.

I am a fan of Danver’s. Been going to Danver’s for the past 30 years. The food is good and this location has a really great salad bar. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. My mother is a fan of the oldies that play. There are 2 tv for those not fans of the music. The prices are good and even better with coupons. The breakfast platter is a good deal and includes: eggs, bacon/sausage/or ham, potatoes/grits and biscuit or toast. All for less than $ 6.00.

I stopped in because I was starving and could not go home before driving to a G’town auction for quilts(after grueling PT). Bad mistake. The restaurant was huge but empty with an 80’s salad bar. Four men in the back were talking about ordering supplies. I had a ham sandwich while ok was devoid of any redeeming grace as in lettuce or mayo. The two sides I ordered were horrible and totally inedible. I should have gone to Zaxby.

I don’t know about you, but I never walk into a Danver’s expecting fine dining. That’s not why you come here. They have a serviceable salad bar(no competition with Jason’s Deli, certainly). Turkey burgers and roast beef sandwiches are pretty tasty, too. This location may have gotten an extra star if not for the rude employee who wouldn’t honor the daily special, despite the sign outside making no mention of it being strictly a LUNCH special. Good customer service would have been an apology for the miscommunication, maybe even offering to honor it as we walked out the door.

I want to start this review by saying that our family group was very excited about going to Danver’s for dinner. We had family visiting from another state where a Danver’s restaurant is not located. Soooo, As we ordered everything appeared to be friendly and as normal. Well, after placing our order and paying(40.00 + for a family of 5) all changed. The drinks(tea selections) were bitter and soured. Tasted like saved from previous days. Next, after 25 minutes and no food, we noticed that there was a line forming and guests were leaving the restaurants, some even getting refunds. I casually walked up to the front to see what was taking so long, but never saying anything. One of the servers, looked at me and said” I’ll bring your order out when it’s ready.” About 10 more minutes, and a server literally slammed my order on the table and walked away, No apology, no can I get you anything or nothing. To continue with this Nightmare of dinner, our order was not correct. The chicken sandwich looked days old, we were missing items, and the sandwiches were cold. I went to the I think manager, and she replaced the sandwich, completed the order and yelled back to the staff in the kitchen, «Is this the best y’all can do» I was so embarrassed for taking guests for dinner at Danver’s. I never received and apology, or any form of compensation. I really hope that someone can fix this mess of a restaurant. The quality of food was disgusting. The rudeness of the employees and the lack of concern by the one in charge must be corrected.

Salad bar is disgustingly filthy! When ordering I asked the cashier the difference between 1 trip salad bar and potato and the All you can eat salad and potato? She replied that on one you could make as many trips to the salad bar as you wished! As found the humor, as did my wife and we both laughed aloud. This perturbed the cashier and that was the last she spoke except to inform us of out total! Out of tea when first getting drink. 45 minutes later… Still no tea. Salad bar tongs everywhere and has sent been wiped down since I’ve been here.

This is a review of the drive through. Been here a few times in the late evening and there is one thing I can tell you. I hope you have time to kill. Major time to kill. The drive through in the late evening is slow… very slow. Ten(10) minutes or more. I know they are not claiming to be fast food or anything but jeez. At least the food is hot. But hot food is not woth it to me. I got so ticked the last time I was here. And you know its a bunch of kids who dont give a darn so thats what ticks me off more.

I like this Danver’s location best– it’s bigger, newer and has a nice sized outdoor patio. The food is always fresh and is a nice alternative to other fast food options. I also like their breakfast– pancakes, omelets, egg platters and breakfast sandwiches. Kids eat free here on Tuesday night and they have good chicken tenders.
